Present-Day PM_(2.5)over Asia:Simulation and Uncertainty in CMIP6 ESMs

This study assesses the ability of 10 Earth System Models(ESMs)that participated in the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6(CMIP6)to reproduce the present-day inhalable particles with diameters less than 2.5 micrometers(PM_(2.5))over Asia and discusses the ***_(2.5)accounts for more than 30%of the surface total aerosol(fine and coarse)concentration over Asia,except for central *** simulated spatial distributions of PM_(2.5)and its components,averaged from 2005 to 2020,are consistent with the Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications version 2(MERRA-2)*** are characterized by the high PM_(2.5)concentrations in eastern China and northern India where anthropogenic components such as sulfate and organic aerosol dominate,and in northwestern China where the mineral dust in PM_(2.5)fine particles(PM_(2.5)DU)*** present-day multimodel mean(MME)PM_(2.5)concentrations slightly underestimate ground-based observations in the same period of 2014–2019,although observations are affected by the limited coverage of observation sites and the urban *** model biases partly come from other aerosols(such as nitrate and ammonium)not involved in our analyses,and also are contributed by large uncertainty in PM_(2.5)simulations on local scale among *** model uncertainties over East Asia are mainly attributed to sulfate and PM_(2.5)DU;over South Asia,they are attributed to sulfate,organic aerosol,and PM_(2.5)DU;over Southeast Asia,they are attributed to sea salt in PM_(2.5)fine particles(PM_(2.5)SS);and over central Asia,they are attributed to PM_(2.5)*** are mainly caused by the different representations of aerosols within individual ESMs including the representation of aerosol size distributions,dynamic transport,and physical and chemistry mechanisms.

针对复杂工业系统对性能衰退的容忍度低等问题,提出基于系统性能预测的一类反馈控制系统过程监测方法,通过黎曼度量对控制性能衰退程度进行预测与监测,并给出发生故障的类型,以提升过程监测系统的实时性与准确性.首先,利用系统的实时数据,计算系统性能衰退的预测指标;其次,利用黎曼度量对系统性能衰退程度进行预测与监测,并利用随机算法给出对应的阈值来诊断系统性能衰退;最后,通过计算各类引发系统性能衰退的故障的性能预测指标集合的中心和阈值,实现故障的实时定位.所提出的方法通过三容水箱仿真实验平台进行验证.

Monoacylglycerol lipase(MAGL) is a pivotal enzyme in the endocannabinoid system, which metabolizes 2-arachidonoylglycerol(2-AG) into the proinflammatory eicosanoid precursor arachidonic acid(AA). MAGL and other endogenous cannabinoid(EC) degrading enzymes are involved in the fibrogenic signaling pathways that induce hepatic stellate cell(HSC) activation and ECM accumulation during chronic liver disease. Our group recently developed an;F-labeled MAGL inhibitor([18F]MAGL-4-11)for PET imaging and demonstrated highly specific binding in vitro and in vivo. In this study, we determined [18F]MAGL-4-11 PET enabled imaging MAGL levels in the bile duct ligation(BDL) and carbon tetrachloride(CCl_(4)) models of liver cirrhosis;we also assessed the hepatic gene expression of the enzymes involved with EC system including MAGL, NAPE-PLD, FAAH and DAGL that as a function of disease severity in these models;[18F]MAGL-4-11 autoradiography was performed to assess tracer binding in frozen liver sections both in animal and human. [18F]MAGL-4-11 demonstrated reduced PET signals in early stages of fibrosis and further significantly decreased with disease progression compared with control mice. We confirmed MAGL and FAAH expression decreases with fibrosisseverity, while its levels in normal liver tissue are high;in contrast, the EC synthetic enzymes NAPE-PLD and DAGL are enhanced in these different fibrosis models. In vitro autoradiography further supported that[18F]MAGL-4-11 bound specifically to MAGL in both animal and human fibrotic liver tissues. Our PET ligand [18F]MAGL-4-11 shows excellent sensitivity and specificity for MAGL visualization in vivo and accurately reflects the histological stages of liver fibrosis in preclinical models and human liver tissues.

In this paper, a novel reconstruction method is presented for Near Infrared (NIR) 2-D imaging to recover optical absorption coefficients from laboratory phantom data. The main body of this work validates a new generation of highly efficient reconstruction algorithms called “Globally Convergent Method” (GCM) based upon actual measurements taken from brain-shape phantoms. It has been demonstrated in earlier studies using computer-simulated data that this type of reconstructions is stable for imaging complex distributions of optical absorption. The results in this paper demonstrate the excellent capability of GCM in working with experimental data measured from optical phantoms mimicking a rat brain with stroke.

Species Diversity and Elevational Distribution of Amphibians in the Xianxialing and Wuyishan Mountain Ranges,Southeastern China

The species diversity and altitudinal distribution of amphibians along an eleva tional gradient of 200-1600 m in the Xianxialing and Wuyishan Mountain Ranges in Southeastern China were investiga ted through time-constra ined visual surveys along 32 transect lines in 9 survey areas,in which the ha bitat types were also recorded.A total of 27 amphibian species belonging to 19 genera,7 families,and 2 orders were *** species diversity of the amphibians plateaued at low elevation,and the altitudinal boundary of their distribution was at 800 *** species compositions were dissimilar in the two mountain ranges probably beca use the annual average temperature and annual rainfall were different in both *** eleva tional Rapoport's rule demonstrated that the species range size of the amphibians expanded as the elevation increased in both mountain *** results of the cross species method supported the rule only when the influence of the low-frequency occurrence proba bility of an investigated species was excluded,whereas those of the steven's method strongly corroborated the rule rega rdless of the incidental occurrence or absence of the species.
