Identificatio. and bio.ssay o. αβ-dehydro.urvularin (1) and curvularin (2) fro. this fungus are described. Mo.o.cetyldehydro.urvularin (3), and diacetyldehydro.urvularin (4) are synthesized fro. 1. Sugarcane cultivars that are currently planted are the result o. genetic impro.ement fo.used o. increased cro. yield. Ho.ever, this selectio. and genetic alteratio. reduced the co.petitive po.ential o. sugarcane, as well as its allelo.athic capabilities. Many members o. the Po.ceae family are highly allelo.athic. Thus, the o.jective o. this study was to.characterize the allelo.athic po.ential o. two.sugarcane cultivars (CTC 2 and IAC 91109) by bio.ssay-guided fractio.atio., iso.atio., and identificatio. o. significant phyto.o.ins, including tho.e that are lipo.hilic. Fo. bo.h leaves and ro.ts, alpha-lino.enic and lino.eic acid were fo.nd to.be the mo.t phyto.o.ic co.po.nds fo.nd with this appro.ch. Bo.h co.po.nds were phyto.o.ic when applied in so.l and caused light-independent cellular leakage o. treated cucumber co.yledo. discs. We co.clude that so.e o. the phyto.o.ic effects o. sugarcane residues in so.l are due to.the co.bined actio. o. alpha-lino.enic and lino.eic acid.

Brachiaria erucifo.mis (sm.) Griseb, lo.ally kno.n as “signal grass”, is a co.mo. weed in lawns and turfs in Mississippi, USA. During late spring and early summer mo.ths, leaves o. B. erucifo.mis are infected with a fungus causing necro.is. The infected leaves ultimately turn bro.n and wither. As part o. o.r search fo. po.ential new natural pro.uct-based agro.hemicals, we studied this plant patho.en in o.der to.investigate phyto.o.ic and fungito.ic metabo.ites pro.uced by the fungus. The causative fungus was iso.ated fro. an infected leaf o. B. erucifo.mis, cultured in po.ato.dextro.e agar plates and identified via mo.ecular techniques as Pyricularia grisea. A phyto.o.ic co.po.nd was iso.ated fro. Czapek-Do. bro.h liquid culture medium and identified as pyrichalasin H by spectro.co.ic techniques. Pyrichalasin H was to.ic to.the fungal plant patho.en Co.leto.richum fragariae in a TLC bio.uto.raphy assay and phyto.o.ic to.two.mo.o.o. and o.e dico. plants. This is the first repo.t o. antifungal activity o. pyrichalasin H against phyto.atho.ens. Pyrichalasin H iso.ated fro. Pyricularia grisea, a patho.en infecting B. erucifo.mis (signal grass) was sho.n to.be phyto.o.ic and fungicidal to.Co.leto.richum fragariae.

We lo.k at the link between climate change and vecto.-bo.ne diseases in lo.- and middle-inco.e co.ntries in Africa. The large endemicity and escalating threat o. diseases such as malaria and arbo.iral diseases, intensified by climate change, dispro.o.tio.ately affects vulnerable co.munities glo.ally. We highlight the urgency o. prio.itizing research and develo.ment, advo.ating fo. ro.ust scientific inquiry to.pro.o.e adaptatio. strategies, and the vital ro.e that the next generatio. o. African research leaders will play in addressing these challenges. Despite significant challenges such as funding sho.tages within co.ntries, vario.s pan-African-o.iented funding bo.ies such as the African Academy o. Sciences, the Africa Research Excellence Fund, the Wellco.e Trust, the U.S. Natio.al Institutes o. Health, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Fo.ndatio. as well as initiatives such as the African Research Initiative fo. Scientific Excellence and the Pan-African Mo.quito.Co.tro. Asso.iatio., have empo.ered (o. are empo.ering) these researchers by suppo.ting capacity building activities, including co.tinental and glo.al netwo.king, skill develo.ment, mento.ing, and African-led research. This article undersco.es the urgency o. increased natio.al investment in research, pro.o.ing the establishment o. research go.ernment agencies to.drive evidence-based interventio.s. Co.labo.atio. between go.ernments and scientific co.munities, sustained by pan-African funding bo.ies, is crucial. Thro.gh these effo.ts, African natio.s are likely to.enhance the resilience and adaptive capacity o. their systems and co.munities by navigating these challenges effectively, fo.tering scientific excellence and implementing transfo.mative so.utio.s against climate-sensitive vecto.-bo.ne diseases.

VLMs in human urine *** experimental CCS values,alo.g with mass spectral pro.erties,were repo.ted fo. the 174 *** experimental data included the mass-to.charge ratio.m/z),retentio. time(RT),tandem MS(MS/MS)spectra,and CCS *** the studied metabo.ites,263 traveling wave io. mo.ility spectro.etry(TWIMS)-derived CCS values(TWCCSN2)were repo.ted fo. the first time,and mo.e than 70%o. these were CCS values o. *** TWCCSN2 values were highly repeatable,with inter-day variatio.s o.o.(RSD).The develo.ed metho. revealed excellent TWCCSN2 accuracy with a CCS difference(DCCS)within±2%o. the repo.ted drift tube IMS(DTIMS)and TWIMS CCS *** co.plexity o. the urine matrix did no. affect the precisio. o. the metho.,as evidenced by DCCS within±1.92%.Acco.ding to.the Metabo.o.ics Standards Initiative,55 urinary metabo.ites were identified with a co.fidence level o. *** these 55 metabo.ites,53(96%)were *** larger number o. co.firmed co.po.nds fo.nd in this study was a result o. the additio. o. 商业银行操作风险防范是中国乃至世界风险管理的热点话题。以往的商业银行操作风险防范多从保险等机制进行研究,而从高管团队管理视角对银行风险进行研究逐步成为当前银行业探索的新方向。文章基于社会责任理论视角,提出商业银行高管团队质量将提升组织员工责任感知,从而提升银行操作风险防范力。同时,将高管团队质量分解为合规管理执行力、文化力和责任型领导力三方面,对商业银行柜员、客户经理、支行和分行负责人等300人进行问卷调查,调查结果支持了研究提出的中介模型。
