Objective: to evaluate the policy of TST testing in Suriname. As there is no gold standard to diagnose latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI), the tuberculin skin test (TST) is used to diagnose LTBI. However, internationally, the cut-off values of the TST are not uniform and depend on local tuberculosis (TB) epidemiology and guidelines for test initiation. In Suriname, where currently several indications exist for TSTs, cut-off values are set at 5 mm or 10 mm, depending on the age and/or medical history of the patient. LTBI classification is performed by pulmonologists primarily based on the American Thoracic Society targeted TB testing guidelines. Method: retrospective analysis of outpatient TST data between 2011 and 2019 from Suriname’s sole pulmonary medicine clinic. Result: 1373 patients were evaluated. 590 patients were from the screening group of whom 253 had a positive TST result, 46 of whom were classified as LTBI. In the contact tracing group of 649 patients, 616 had a positive TST, 352 of whom were classified as LTBI. In the medical condition group of 134 patients, 96 had a positive TST, 38 of whom were classified as LTBI. Eventually, positive TST results were found for 965 tested patients: 436 patients were classified as LTBI and 529 non-LTBI patients were not prescribed chemoprophylaxis. None of the non-LTBI TST-positive patients were diagnosed with active TB, including 174 patients with a TST result of 15 mm or greater and in need of IPT, but not prescribed by juds.an s.yle="font-family:Verdana;">s.an s.yle="font-family:Verdana;">s.an s.yle="font-f

Methods. We retros.ectively analyzed 106 s.E-ERCP procedures.in 46 patients.with Whipple's.variants. Technical and clinical s.cces. rates.and advers. events.were evaluated. Res.lts. Biliary s.E-ERCP was.performed in 34 patients.and pancreatic s.E-ERCP in 17, including.5 with both indications. From a total of 106 s.E-ERCP procedures. 76 were biliary indication with technical s.cces. rate of 68/76(90%) procedures.and clinical s.cces. rate of 30/34(88%) patients. Mild advers. event rate was.8/76(11%), without s.rious.advers. events. From a total of 106 s.E-ERCP procedures. 30 were pancreatic indication with technical s.cces. rate of 24/30(80%) procedures. P = 0.194 vs. biliary s.EERCP) and clinical s.cces. rate of 11/17(65%) patients. P = 0.016 vs. biliary s.E-ERCP). Mild advers. event rate was.6/30(20%)( P = 0.194 vs. biliary s.E-ERCP), without s.rious.advers. events. We dis.us. a quantum remote s.ate preparation protocol by which two parties. Alice and Candy, prepare a s.ng.e-qubit and a two-qubit s.ate, res.ectively, at the s.te of the receiver Bob. The s.ng.e-qubit s.ate is.known to Alice while the two-qubit s.ate which is.a non-maximally entang.ed Bell s.ate is.known to Candy. The three parties.are connected throug. a s.ng.e entang.ed s.ate which acts.as.a quantum channel. We firs. des.ribe the protocol in the ideal cas. when the entang.ed channel under us. is.in a pure s.ate. After that, we cons.der the effect of amplitude damping.AD) nois. on the quantum channel and des.ribe the protocol executed throug. the nois. channel. The decrement of the fidelity is.s.own to occur with the increment in the nois. parameter. This.is.s.own by numerical computation in s.ecific examples.of the s.ates.to be created. This.s.udy was.performed to as.es. the root hormonal accumulation and g.ne expres.ion in res.ons. to Al toxicity in five trans.0}nic miniature dwarf tomatoes.cv. Micro-Tom (MT). MT and MT trans.0}nics.to acid indole acetic, cytokinin, g.bberellin, abs.is.c acid and ethylene were cultivated in nutrient s.lutions.containing.different Al concentrations. Root g.owth elong.tion was.meas.red and cellular damag. was.vis.alized by s.aining.Evans.s.blue. The g.s.reporter g.ne s.aining.technique was.us.d to vis.alize hormonal chang.s.in MT apex root tis.ues. Data indicated that the MT is.s.ns.tive to Al that induced s.g.ificant g.owth inhibition and cellular damag.. Al concentration of 27 μM was.s.g.ificantly toxic, inducing.root apex darkening.and inhibition of root development. The qualitative evaluation of g.s.reporter g.ne expres.ion s.owed intens. cros.talk among.all hormones.s.udied, unders.oring.the complexity of s.g.aling.induced by Al in apex roots.
