Eastern and western drying-oils used as binding mediain historical artworks are comparative identified by on-line methylated pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(Py-GC/MS).Eastern raw tung-oil,boiled tung-oil,and western linseed-oil,poppy-oil,walnut-oil have been investigated based on the analysis of un-pigmented and pigmented reference samples treated by natural aging,hydro-thermal aging and UV aging,*** characteristic pyrolysis products of all drying-oils are mono-carboxylic acids with the carbon number of6,14,16,18,20,di-carboxylic acids with the carbon number of 62,glycerol,erythritol,2-tridecanone,8-hydroxy-octanoic acid,3-octyl-oxiraneoctanoic acid and 2,6,10-trimethyl-9-undecenoic *** benzene derivative and 9,10-dihydroxy-octadecanoic acid are suggested as the marked components for distinguishing eastern and *** investigated pigments of malachite,cinnabar,azurite and ochre have shown no obvious influence on the detection of characteristic pyrolysis products,but could accelerate the aging and hydrolyzing rate of drying-oil,especially *** established on-line methylated pyrolys is-GC/MS procedure and summarized data have been successfully applied on the raw tung-oil and boiled tung-oil binding medium identif ication of historical polychromic samples collected from Drum Tower(Ming Dynasty),Bell Tower(Ming Dynasty),and Thousand-Buddha Cliff Grotto(Tang Dynasty).

Abstract Considerable discrepancies exist between pathologic and angiographic findings (15% 85% vs. 2.5%) concerning the incidence of myocardial bridging (MB). We introduce a specific method to identify MB with intracoronary ultrasound (ICUS). ICUS was performed in 31 patients (54±6 years, 27 males) who presented angiographic signs of MB by a systolic “milking effect”. A characteristic echolucent “half moon” area surrounding the vessel of the bridge segment was detected in all the patients studied with ICUS. The width of this echolucent “half moon” area was 0.37±0.08 mm (0.2 mm 0.8 mm) in diastole and 0.42±0.10 mm Depment of Cardiology, University GHS Essen, Germany (Ge JB, Grge G, Liu F, Baumgart D, Haude M, Shah V, simon H, Sack J, Wisniewski G and Erbel R)(0.2 mm 1.0 mm) in systole. Using this sign, 14 patients with angiographically normal coronary arteries but with angiographic intramyocardium like course of a LAD segment were further examined with ICUS. In 12 patients, a systolic compression with an echolucent “half moon” area surrounding the vessel was detected. After intracoronary provocation with nitroglycerin, all the 12 patients with ICUS “half moon” area were presented with “milking effect” angiographically. In summary, the ICUS sign of an echolucent “half moon” area surrounding the vessel is a new and specific character for identifying myocardial bridging.

Natural forests and stands subj ected to little to moderate human impact are continuously declining worldwide and with these,their biodiversity and ecosystem *** Nothofagus forests in the south of the South American continent are in a pristine state or only moderately impacted by *** grazing by livestock,in the past and still today often practiced in a non-sustainable way is,however,increasingly under discussion to meet current environmental and socio-economic ***,we investigate the regeneration of Nothofagus dombeyi,a keystone species of the Patagonian Andes,in secondary forests in Argentinian northern Patagonia,particularly addressing the role of disturbance through grazing by livestock at various *** test the hypothesis that the regeneration of this tree species is favored by grazing impact and,thus,disturbance of the herb layer and soil *** support of our hypothesis,Nothofagus dombeyi regeneration was significantly higher in terms of individuals and height classes in moderately grazed *** analysis shows significant positive effects of moderate grazing pressure,herb layer cover,and the occurrence of bare soil on the regeneration of Nothofagus *** results show that an integration of livestock grazing and forest regeneration is possible and that agroforestry systems can be an adequate management option for stakeholders in the region.A grazing management can also be part of a forest fire prevention ***,the regeneration success and grazing pressure should be continuously monitored.

Previous results indicated that in grapevine （Vitis vinifera）, regulation of the flavonoid pathway genes by MYB transcription factors depends on their interaction with basic helix-loop-helix proteins （bHLHs）. The present study describes the first functional characterization of a bHLH factor from grapevine named VvMYC1. This transcription factor is phylogenetically related to Arabidopsis bHLH proteins, which participate in the control of flavonoid biosynthesis and epidermal cell fate. Transient promoter and yeast two-hybrid assays demonstrated that VvMYC1 physically interacts with MYB5a, MYB5b, MYBA1/A2, and MYBPA1 to induce promoters of flavonoid pathway genes involved in anthocyanin and/ or proanthocyanidin （PA） synthesis. Additionally, transient promoter assays revealed that VvMYC1 is involved in feedback regulation of its own expression. Transcript levels of VvMYC1 during berry development correlate with the synthesis of anthocyanins and PAs in skins and seeds of berries, suggesting that VvMYC1 is involved in the regulation of anthocyanins and PA synthesis in these organs. Likewise, transient expression of VvMYC1 and VvMYBA1 induces anthocyanin synthesis in grapevine suspension cells. These results suggest that VvMYCl is part of the transcriptional cascade controlling antho- cyanin and PA biosynthesis in grapevine.
