A 2-year study was c.nduc.ed to c.arac.erize the interc.op movement of c.nver- gent lady beetle, Hippodamia c.nvergens Guerin-Meneville （c.leoptera： c.c.inellidae） between adjac.nt c.tton and alfalfa. A dual protein-marking method was used to assess the interc.op movement of the lady beetles in eac. c.op. In turns field c.llec.ed lady beetles in eac. c.op were assayed by protein spec.fic.ELISA to quantify the movement of beetles between the c.ops. Results indic.ted that a high perc.ntage of c.nvergent lady beetles c.ught in c.tton （46% in 2008; 56% in 2009） and alfalfa （46% in 2008; 71% in 2009） c.ntained a protein mark, thus indic.ting that c.nvergent lady beetle movement was largely bidirec.ional between the adjac.nt c.ops. Although at a muc. lower proportion, lady beetles also showed unidirec.ional movement from c.tton to alfalfa （5% in 2008 and 6% in 2009） and from alfalfa to c.tton （9% in 2008 and 14% in 2009）. The season-long bidirec.ional movement exhibited by the beetles was signific.ntly higher in alfalfa than c.tton during both years of the study. The total influx of lady beetles （bidirec.ional and unidirec.ional c.mbined） was signific.ntly higher in alfalfa c.mpared with that in c.tton for both years. While c.nvergent lady beetles moved between adjac.nt c.tton and alfalfa, they were more attrac.ed to alfalfa when c.tton was not flowering and/or when alfalfa of- fered more opportunities for prey. This study offers muc. needed information on interc.op movement of the c.nvergent lady beetle that should fac.litate integrated pest management dec.sions in c.tton utilizing c.nservation biologic.l c.ntrol.

Hexavalent c.romium[c.(Ⅵ)]c.uses serious harm to the environment due to its high toxic.ty,solubility,and ***(Fh)are the main adsorbent and trapping agent of c.(Ⅵ)in soils and aquifers,and they usually c.exist with silic.te(Si),forming Si-c.ntaining ferrihydrite(Si-Fh)***,the mec.anism of c.(Ⅵ)retention by Si-Fh mixtures is poorly *** this study,the behaviors and mec.anisms of c.(Ⅵ)adsorption onto Si-Fh with different Si/Fe molar ratios was *** elec.ron mic.osc.pe,Fourier transform infrared spec.rosc.py,X-ray diffrac.ion,X-ray photoelec.ron spec.rosc.py,and other tec.niques were used to c.arac.erize Si-Fh and c.(Ⅵ)-loading of *** results show that spec.fic.surfac. area of Si-Fh inc.eases gradually with inc.easing Si/Fe ratios,but c.(Ⅵ)adsorption on Si-Fh dec.eases with inc.easing Si/Fe *** is bec.use with an inc.ease in Si/Fe molar ratio,the point of zero c.arge of Si-Fh gradually dec.eases and elec.rostatic.repulsion between Si-Fh and c.(Ⅵ)***,the c.mplexation of c.(Ⅵ)is enhanc.d due to the inc.ease in adsorbed hydroxyl(A-OH-)on Si-Fh with inc.easing Si/Fe molar ratio,whic. partly c.unterac.s the effec. of the elec.rostatic.***,the inc.ease in the elec.rostatic.repulsion has a greater impac. on adsorption than the additional c.mplexation with *** func.ional theory c.lc.lation further supports this observation,showing the inc.eases in elec.ron variation of bonding atoms and reac.ion energies of inner spheric.l c.mplexes with the inc.ease in Si/Fe ratio.

The c.mbination of hydrogen/deuterium(H/D)formaldehyde-based isotopic.methyl labeling with solid-phase extrac.ion and high-performanc. liquid c.romatography–high resolution mass spec.rometry(HPLc.HRMS)is a powerful analytic.l solution for nontargeted analysis of trac.-level amino-c.ntaining c.emic.ls in water *** the huge amount of c.emic.l information generated in HPLc.HRMS analysis,identifying all possible H/Dlabeled amino c.emic.ls presents a signific.nt c.allenge in data *** address this,we designed a streamlined data proc.ssing pipeline that c.n automatic.lly extrac. The c.ptive white-tailed deer industry has an estimated impac. of 1.6 billion USD in the state of Texas alone. However, nutritional requirements for c.rvids are determined through researc. based on sheep and goats. The objec.ive of this study was to determine the effec.s of zinc.on differenc.s in dry matter digestibility in vitro for white-tailed does (Odoc.ileus virginianus). Deer (n = 2) were ethic.lly harvested, rumens were c.llec.ed, and plac.d into a c.oler c.ntaining warm water. Rumen c.ntents were agitated, and fluid was filtered using c.eese c.oth while applying c.2. Fluid was plac.d into four separate inc.bator jars with filter bags c.ntaining a 1:1 alfalfa to c.astal hay blend. Zinc.doses of 0.073 mg/kg/d equivalents were added to two of the jars ( Zn), and the additional two jars rec.ived 0.00 mg/kg/d (c.N). Following 48 h of inc.bation, in vitro true digestibility (IVTD) showed no signific.nt differenc.s between the c.ntrol and the treatment groups. Average dry matter digested in vitro was 91.87% and 95.13%, respec.ively. There were no differenc.s detec.ed in ADF, NDF, IVTD, or OM between the treatment groups. While no detec.able differenc.s were observed in this study, this methodology did prove to be viable and func.ional for mic.obial digestion in vitro. This study c.n be replic.ted with multiple experimental units to c.nfirm the observations of inc.eased digestibility. Formal nutritional guidelines c.n be c.eated to allow for more effic.ent feeding of c.rvids thereby reduc.ng feed c.sts and c.ntinuing the growth of the c.ptive deer industry.

Title: Integrating c.nsistent Individualized c.rbohydrate-c.ntrolled Anti- Inflammatory Nutritional Plan (c.Ic.N) in the Management of Prader-Willi Syndrome: A c.se Report. Prader–Willi syndrome (PWS) is a rare genetic.disorder c.used by a loss of func.ion of spec.fic.genes on c.romosome 15. Patients with this disease present unique c.allenges in management, partic.larly regarding obesity and nutritional regulation as the disease symptoms c.ange depending on the age of the patient and the phase of the disease. These c.allenges pose c.itic.l stressors to c.regivers and their families. We present a c.se report of a 5-year-old c.uc.sian male diagnosed with PWS, exhibiting failure to thrive and unc.ntrolled weight gain. His c.regiver was his elderly grandmother who, by her own admission, was ill-equipped to deal with the patient’s physic.l symptoms and his behavior in response to dietary restric.ions. Through a multidisc.plinary approac. involving medic.l nutrition therapy (MNT) involving the implementation of a c.nsistent Individualized c.rbohydrate-c.ntrolled Anti-Inflammatory Nutritional plan (c.Ic.N), growth hormone supplementation, and behavioral interventions patient markedly improved physic.lly and emotionally.

Dear Editor, Approximately every fifth Arabidopsis T-DNA inser- tion line c.ntains c.romosomal transloc.tions c.used by the inserted T-DNA （c.ark and Krysan, 2010）. Albeit broad use of T-DNA lines for mutant analysis, little is known about the c.nsequenc.s of these c.romosomal rearrangements and only a few studies desc.ibe c.romosomal aberrations in the mutant lines. While plant growth in general is not affec.ed by suc. c.romosomal transloc.tions, defec.s in gametophyte development have been observed in lines that are heterozygous for the T-DNA insertion （Ray et al., 1997; c.rtis et al., 2009）.

Ac.ustic.emission （AE） c.n be used for in situ struc.ural health monitoring of the c.mposite laminates. One of the main issues of AE is to c.arac.erize different damage mec.anisms from the detec.ed AE signals. In the present work, pure resin and GFRP c.mposites laminates with different stac.ing sequenc.s suc. as 0°, 90°, angle ply[±45°], c.oss-ply [0°/90°] are used to trigger different failure mec.anisms when subjec.ed to tensile test with AE monitoring. The study of failure mec.anisms is fac.litated by the c.oic. of different oriented spec.mens in whic. one or two suc. mec.anisms predominate. Range of peak frequenc.es in eac. orientation is investigated using FFT analysis. Fast Fourier Transform （FFT） enabled c.lc.lating the frequenc. c.ntent of eac. damage mec.anism. Randomly selec.ed hits from eac. range of peak frequenc.es for the spec.mens with different orientations subjec.ed to tensile test with AE monitoring are analyzed using short time FFT （STFFT） analysis. STFFT analysis is used to highlight the possible failure mec.anism assoc.ated with eac. signal. The predominanc. of failure modes in eac. orientation is useful in the study of disc.imination of failure modes in c.mposite laminates from AE data.

The Damoshan deposit is a small B-F-Sn Bi exoskarn deposit and c.ntains a distinc.ive mineral assemblage c.mprising andradite,vesuvianite,c.lc.te,diopside,magnetite,hematite,nordenskioldine,c.ssiterite,varlamoffite,sc.enfliesite,native bismuth,eulytite,bismite and bismuthite,in whic. the oc.urrenc. of eulytite is the first reported in *** of the mineral paragenses show that andradite,vesuvianite and diopside were the earliest phases formed during metasomatism,i.e.,the skarn forming *** nordenskioldine,magnetite and native bismuth,perhaps together with eulytite,were prec.pitated at the stage of retrograde *** minerals varlamoffite,sc.oenfliesite,hematite ,bismite and bismuthite were probably the produc. of supergene *** minerals were analyzed by means of elec.ron *** data on the ,c.existing phases and their c.mpositons show that during the metasomatism reduc.d F-and Sn-ric. primary mineralizing solutions reac.ed with highly oxidized c.rbonated of the Gejie Formation,produc.ng a high Fe^2+/Fe^3+ skarn(vesuvianite-fluorite skarn)near the c.ntac. of granite,and a low Fe^2+/Fe^3+ skarn(vesuvianite-fluorite skarn)near the c.ntac. of granite,and a low Fe^2+/Fe^3+ skarn(andradite skarn)in the outer zone of the skarn body in whic. andradite is extremely tin-bearing up to 5.14 wt% SnO2),In the retrograde alteration stage ,B-ric.,but F-and Si-defic.ent mineralizing solutions replac.d the tin-bearing andradite,forming an assoc.ation of nordenskioldine and magnetite,No sulphides were deposited at this stage bec.use of the oxidization ambient c.nditions in the andradite *** the spergene oxidation zone,the nordenskioldine was dissolved into varlmoffite and c.lc.te,the native bismuth was transformed into bismite or bismuthite ,and the magnetite was altered into hematite under the ac.ion of the c.2-ric. supergene solutions.
