Harnessing the enhanced light-matter coupling and quantum vacuum fluctuations resulting from mode volume compression in optical cavities is a promising route towards functionalizing quantum materials and realizing exotic states of ***,we extend cavity quantum electrodynamical materials engineering to correlated magnetic systems,by demonstrating that a Fabry-Pérot cavity can be used to control the magnetic state of the proximate quantum spin liquidα-RuCl_(3).Depending on specific cavity properties such as the mode frequency,photon occupation,and strength of the light-matter coupling,any of the magnetic phases supported by the extended kitaev model can be *** particular,in the THz regime,we show that the cavity vacuum fluctuations alone are sufficient to bringα-RuCl_(3) from a zigzag antiferromagnetic to a ferromagnetic *** external pumping of the cavity in the few photon limit,it is further possible to push the system into the antiferromagnetic kitaev quantum spin liquid state.

The light curve solutions of two W UMa binary systems in the intermediate open cluster NGC 7789 are presented in this paper. These variables were observed using the 2 m telescope of the IUCAA-Girawali Observatory. The v passband photo- metric solutions of the two W UMa binaries were obtained using the latest version of the W-D program. The result shows that both systems are H-subtype W UMa binaries with high mass ratios.

A rapid, sensitive and selective pseudo MRM（p MRM）-based method for the determination of solutol HS15（SHS15） in rat plasma was developed using liquid chromatography/tandem mass spectrometry（LC–MS/MS）. The most abundant ions corresponding to SHS15 free polyethyleneglycol（PEG）oligomers at m/z 481, 525, 569, 613, 657, 701, 745, 789, 833, 877, 921 and 965 were selected for p MRM in electrospray mode of ionization. Purity of the lipophilic and hydrophilic components of SHS15 was estimated using evaporative light scattering detector（ELSD）. Plasma concentrations of SHS15 were measured after oral administration at 2.50 g/kg dose and intravenous administration at 1.00 g/kg dose in male Sprague Dawley rats. SHS15 has poor oral bioavailability of 13.74% in rats. Differences in pharmacokinetics of oligomers were studied. A novel proposal was conveyed to the scientific community,where formulation excipient could be analyzed as a qualifier in the analysis of new chemical entities（NCEs） to address the spiky plasma concentration profiles.

Penile fracture(PF)is a surgical *** its rarity,we queried a national cohort over an 11-year period to study the temporal and demographic variations in presentation,evaluation,and management of patients with PF compared with a cohort of control *** National Inpatient Sample was queried between the years 2005 and 2016 for patients with a diagnosis of *** patients were selected as a control cohort,given the non-discriminatory nature of this *** and demographic data of the patients were compared with that of *** symptoms,rates of surgical repair,and rates of associated surgical procedures were evaluated in the PF *** the study period,5802 patients were hospitalized for *** annual incidence of PF remained unchanged at 1.0-1.8 cases per 100000 hospitalizations over the study *** with the control cohort,PF patients were more likely to be younger(38.7 years vs 41.2 years,P≤0.001),have lower rates of comorbidities except erectile dysfunction(1.4%vs 0.1%,P≤0.001),and were more likely of Black race(25.4%vs 6.2%,P≤0.001).Notably,PF patients had significantly higher rates of substance abuse(26.4%vs 18.1%,P≤0.001),despite no difference in the diagnosed psychiatric *** rarely presented with hematuria(3.5%);however,urethral evaluation was performed in 23.1%,most commonly with cystoscopy(19.2%).PF occurs more commonly in a younger,healthier male population,and among ***,rates of substance abuse appear to be higher in the PF cohort compared with those of controls.

CCD photometric observations with B and v passbands were performed on the contact binary v3 in the field of open cluster M37. The solutions were obtained for data from both B and v passbands along with R passband given by Hartman et al. using the Wilson-Devinney code. The positive O＇Connell effect was observed in all the three passbands and its associated cool spot parameters were derived. The results indicate that the spot parameters have not shown any significant variability during the last four years. The spot radius was found to be 40° and located close to the equator of the secondary component. The absolute parameters of the system were derived using the empirical relations given by Gazeas et al.

We present the combined BvI multicolor photometric solutions of seven EW variables in the old open cluster Berkeley 39. The observations were carried out in the B and v passbands from the 2 m telescope at the IUCAA-Girawali Observatory in India. The analysis is done using the 2003 version of the Wilson-Devinney code and the fitted light curves are presented. The light curves appear to be symmetric in all the passbands. The photometric solutions suggest that the variables are W-type systems. The new ephemeris indicates that the orbital periods of the studied variables have not changed during the timespan of observations. Revised orbital period, absolute mass, radius and luminosity of the respective variables are presented. The absolute physical parameters of the variables follow the trend of field EW stars. Comparing the results obtained with the other theoretical works, we suggest that there is an excess loss of mass and angular momentum in these systems which may be due to their short period and relatively young age, possibly due to the presence of a third component or the initial detached period being less than 2 d.

Apis mellifera syriaca exhibits a high degree of tolerance to pests and pathogens including varroa mites. This native honey bee subspecies of Jordan expresses behavioral adaptations to high temperature and dry seasons typical of the region. However, persistent honey bee imports of commercial breeder lines are endangering local honey bee population. This study reports the use of next-generation sequencing （NGS） technology to study the A. m. syriaca genome and to identify genetic factors possibly contributing toward mite resistance and other favorable traits. We obtained a total of 46.2 million raw reads by applying the NGS to sequence A. m. syriaca and used extensive bioinformatics approach to identify several candidate genes for varroa mite resistance, behavioral and immune responses char- acteristic for these bees. As a part of characterizing the functional regulation of molecular genetic pathway, we have mapped the pathway genes potentially involved using information from Drosophila melanogaster and present possible functional changes implicated in responses to varroa destructor mite infestation toward this. We performed in-depth functional annotation methods to identify -600 candidates that are relevant, genes involved in pathways such as microbial recognition and phagocytosis, peptidoglycan recognition protein family, Gram negative binding protein family, phagocytosis receptors, serpins, Toll signaling pathway, Imd pathway, Tnf, JAk-STAT and MAPk pathway, heamatopioesis and cellular response pathways, antiviral, RNAi pathway, stress factors, etc. were selected. Finally, we have cataloged function-specific polymorphisms between A. mellifera and A. m. syriaca that could give better understanding of varroa mite resistance mechanisms and assist in breeding.
