The Tropical Cyclone(TC)track prediction using different NWP models and its verification is the critical task to provide prior knowledge about the model errors,which is beneficial for giving the model guidance-based real-time cyclone warning *** study has attempted to verify the Global Forecast System(GFS)model forecasted tropical cyclone track and intensity over the North Indian Ocean(NIO)for the years 2019 and *** is one of the operational models in the India Meteorological Department(IMD),which provides the medium-range weather forecast up to 10 *** forecasted tracks from the GFS forecast are obtained using a vortex tracker developed by Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Laboratory(GFDL).A total of 13 tropical cyclones formed over the North Indian Ocean,eight during 2019 and five in 2020 have been considered in this *** accuracy of the model predicted tracks and intensity is verified for five days forecasts(120 h)at 6-h intervals;the track errors are verified in terms of Direct Position Error(DPE),Along Track Error(ATE)and Cross-Track Error(CTE).The annual mean DPE over NIO during 2019(51–331 km)is lower than 2020(82–359 km),and the DPE is less than 150 km up to 66 h during 2019 and 48 h during *** positive ATE(76–332 km)indicates the predicted track movement is faster than the observed track during both *** positive CTE values for most forecast lead times suggest that the predicted track is towards the right side of the observed track during both *** cyclone Intensity forecast for the maximum sustained wind speed(Max WS)and central mean sea level pressure(MSLP)are verified in terms of mean error(ME)and root mean square error(RMSE).The errors are lead time ***,most of the time model under-predicted the cyclone intensity during both ***,there is a significant variance in track and intensity errors from the cyclone to cyclone and Bay of Bengal basin to the Arabian Sea basin.

Inefficient fertilizer use can lead to deficient soil nutrition. There is little information on whether human urine (ALW) can be used as a nutrient source in crop cultivation. A study was conducted to explore the potential of human urine in cultivation of radish (Raphanus sativus L.). The ALW was provided to radish in a pot trial. Comparison was with combinations of using synthetic fertilizers. Human urine contained N (0.45%), P (0.18%), K (0.16%), Ca (4.25 me L-1), Mg (5.15 me L-1) and Na (0.36%). The highest available nutrients N, P and K contents in soil at harvest, and the more number of leaves, tallest, root length, root yield and root diameter were from the in 3:1 ALW-three parts of ALW (human urine and one part of water used pot). Water treatment applied in two splits compared to the recommended fertilizer rate (75:37.5:37.5 kg ha-1 of N, P and K) and absolute control (no fertilizer and no ALW added).

Objective:To investigate the involvement of reactive oxygen species detoxification system in Anopheles stephensi during Plasmodium berghei midgut ***:Eight key reactive oxygen species metabolizing enzymes were cloned and characterized,and their expression was monitored in parasite-infected ***:Superoxide anion detoxifying superoxide dismutases(Fe/Mn SOD,Cu/Zn SOD 2,Cu/Zn SOD 3A,and Cu/Zn SOD 3B)depicted varied expression ***/Mn SOD expression declined,whereas Cu/Zn SOD expression was elevated in the infected ***,catalase and glutathione peroxidase showed lack of induction in expression during the Plasmodium berghei ***,expression of thioredoxin reductase increased in the infected mosquitoes,whereas gluthathione S-transferase levels decreased ***:Detoxification enzymes may play a role in modulating host immunity and parasite transmission.

Steganography is the process of hiding data into public digital medium for secret communication. The image in which the secret data is hidden is termed as stego image. The detection of hidden embedded data in the image is the foundation for blind image steganalysis. The appropriate selection of cover file type and composition contribute to the successful embedding. A large number of steganalysis techniques are available for the detection of steganography in the image. The performance of the steganalysis technique depends on the ability to extract the discriminative features for the identification of statistical changes in the image due to the embedded data. The issue encountered in the blind image steganography is the non-availability of knowledge about the applied steganography techniques in the images. This paper surveys various steganalysis methods, different filtering based preprocessing methods, feature extraction methods, and machine learning based classification methods, for the proper identification of steganography in the image.

Cholesterol crystal embolic （CCE） syndrome is often a clinically challenging condition that has a poor prognostic implication. It is a result of plaque rupture with release of cholesterol crystals into the circulation that embolize into various tissue organs. Plaque rupture seems to be triggered by an expanding necrotic core during cholesterol crystallization forming sharp tipped crystals that perforate and tear the fibrous cap. Embolizing cholesterol crystals then initiate both local and systemic inflammation that eventually lead to vascular fibrosis and obstruction causing symptoms that can mimic other vasculitic conditions. In fact, animal studies have demonstrated that cholesterol crystals can trigger an inflammatory response via NLRP3 inflammasome similar to that seen with gout. The diagnosis of CCE syndrome often requires a high suspicion of the condition. Serum inflammation biomarkers including elevated sedimentation rate, abnormal renal function tests and eosinophilia are useful but non-specific. Common target organ involvement includes the skin, kidney, and brain. Various testing including fundoscopic eye examination and other non-invasive procedures such as trans-esophageal echocardiography and magnetic resonance imaging may be helpful in identifying the embolic source. Treatment includes aspirin and clopidogrel, high dose statin and possibly steroids. In rare cases, mechanical intervention using covered stents may help isolate the ruptured plaque. Anticoagulation with warfarin is not recommended and might even be harmful. Overall, CCE syndrome is usually a harbinger of extensive and unstable atherosclerotic disease that is often associated with acute cardiovascular events.

Reducing the power and energy required by the device/circuit to operate is the main aim of this paper. Here the new design is implemented to reduce the power consumption of the device using the triggering pulses. The proposed triggering method uses a complementary MOS transistor (pMOS and nMOS) as a voltage divider and ground leakage suppressor (i.e.);these designs are named as Trig01 and Trig10 designs. In Trig01 design the pair of CMOS is placed in the voltage divider part;similarly in Trig10 design the pair of CMOS is placed at the ground leakage suppressor part. Standard CMOS gates like NOT, NAND, NOR, EX-OR etc. are designed with these technologies and these gates are designed with 180 nm technology file in the cadence tool suite;compared to the normal CMOS gates, the Bi-Trig gate contains 4 inputs and 2 outputs. The two extra inputs are used as Bi-Trig control signaling inputs. There are 2 control inputs and thus 22 = 4 combination of controlling is done (i.e.);both pMOS and nMOS are ON, both pMOS and nMOS are OFF, pMOS ON and nMOS OFF and pMOS ON and nMOS ON. Depending on the usage of the circuit, the mode of operation is switched to any one of the combination. If the output of the circuit is not used anywhere in the total block, that specified circuit can be switched into idle mode by means of switched OFF both the pMOS and nMOS transistor in the control unit. This reduces the leakage current and also the power wastage of the circuits in the total block. Bi-Trig controlled circuit reduces the power consumption and leakage power of the circuit without affecting a performance of the circuits.

Allogenic haematological stem cell transplantation (allo-SCT) from a human leukocyte antigen (HLA) matched related or unrelated donor is used as a curative therapy for a large number of malignant and non-malignant haematological diseases. The curative effect of allo-SCT is achieved by graft versus leukaemia effect while the downside of the graft versus patient activity is the graft-versus-host-disease (GVHD), a major reason for mortality and morbidity. The search of articles for this review had been accomplished using Ovid, Medline, Embase, Pubmed and was supplemented by retrieving cross references also. Electronic literature search for English language articles with full text access was performed using graft versus host disease, ocular, management, dry eyes as key words. This review has been intended to explicate the classification, pathogenesis, risk factors and management of ocular graft versus host disease.

Menstrual Abnormalities and Gynaecological Problems in Women on Anticoagulant and Antiplatelet Therapy: Management Options

Introduction: The aim of this study was: 1) To study the pattern of menstrual abnormality and severity in women on anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs. 2) To analyze the correlation of prothrombin time (PT), International Normalised ratio (INR) and the bleeding severity. 3) To discuss the various management options in unexpected emergencies and menstrual complications in this subset of women on anticoagulants. Material & Methods: It is a prospective study, over a period of 18 months from July 2011 to december 2012. We had 44 women on antithrombotic therapy. 32 women were on anticoagulants and 12 were on antiplatelet agents. The severity of bleeding pattern was assessed with pictoral bleeding assessment chart (PBAC). 1) Out of 44 women studied, 32 women were on anticoagulants and 12 were on antiplatelet agents. 26 (81.25%) were on acenocoumarol, 5 (15.62%) on warfarin, 1 (3.12%) on heparin, among the 12 antiplatelet users, 8 (66.66%) were on aspirin and 4 (33.33%) on clopidogrel. 2) The indication for anticoagulants was mitral valve replacement (MVR) in 9, double valve replacement (DVR) in 6, aortic valve replacement (AVR) in 3, severe pulmonary artery hypertension (PAH) in 2, severe mitral stenosis (MS) with atrial thrombus in 2, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in 5, severe mitral regurgitation (MR) in one, the other indications were subdural hematoma, thromboendarterectomy, chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage V, coarction of aorta, one each. The indication for antiplatelet therapy was percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) in 3, Wolf Parkinson White (WPW) syndrome + atrial fibrillation (AF), acute myocardial infarction (AMI), coronary artery bypass graft (CABG), mid basilar artery aneurysm, renal allograft recipient, dialated cardiomyopathy, aortic aneurysm repair, hypertension and unstable angina one each.
