role of live microbial feed supplements with reference to anaerobic fungi in ruminant productivity: A review

To keep the concept of a safe food supply to the consumers, animal feed industries world over are showing an increasing interest in the direct-fed microbials（DFM） for improved animal performance in terms of growth or productivity. This becomes all the more essential in a situation, where a number of the residues of antibiotics and/or other growth stimulants reach in milk and meat with a number of associated potential risks for the consumers. Hence, in the absence of growth stimulants, a positive manipulation of the rumen microbial ecosystem to enhance the feedstuff utilization for improved production efficiency by ruminants has become of much interest to the researchers and entrepreneurs. A few genera of live microbes（i.e., bacteria, fungi and yeasts in different types of formulations from paste to powder） are infrequently used as DFM for the domestic ruminants. These DFM products are live microbial feed supplements containing naturally occurring microbes in the rumen. Among different DFM possibilities, anaerobic rumen fungi（ArF） based additives have been found to improve ruminant productivity consistently during feeding trials. Administration of ArF during the few trials conducted, led to the increased weight gain, milk production, and total tract digestibility of feed components in ruminants. Anaerobic fungi in the rumen display very strong cell-wall degrading cellulolytic and xylanolytic activities through rhizoid development, resulting in the physical disruption of feed structure paving the way for bacterial action. Significant improvements in the fiber digestibility were found to coincide with increases in ArF in the rumen indicating their role. Most of the researches based on DFM have indicated a positive response in nutrient digestion and methane reducing potential during in vivo and/or in vitro supplementation of ArF as DFM. Mill tailings based composites as paste backfill in mines of U-bearing dolomitic limestone ore

This paper elaborates on the development of paste backfill using mill tailings generated during the processing of a uranium ore deposit hosted in dolomitic limestone. The tailings have been characterized in terms of the physical, chemical and mineralogical properties. Time-dependent rheological behaviors and geotechnical properties of cemented paste backfill(CPB) are also determined. The studies show that the mill tailing has the potential to form paste and the CPB has adequate strength to provide support to mine pillars, roofs, and walls.

Crystal structure,dielectric,ferroelectric and energy storage properties of La-doped BaTiO_(3) semiconducting ceramics

Polycrystalline La-doped BaTiO_(3)(Ba_(1-x)La_(x)TiO_(3))[x¼0;0:0005;0:001;0:003]ceramics(denoted as BTO,BLT1,BLT2,BLT3)were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XrD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and raman *** and raman spectra revealed single-phase tetragonal perovskite crystalline ***-saturated polarization–electric field(P–E)hysteresis loops were observed with the measurement frequency of 50Hz at room temperature and confirmed ferroelectric nature of these ceramics and a high recoverable electrical energy storage density of 0.350J/cm^(3) with energy efficiency(n)-9%,which is useful in energy storage capacitor *** studies revealed anomalies around 415–420K and near the Curie *** latter is attributed to the ferroelectric to paraelectric phase *** dielectric performances were obtained for La-doped samples sintered at 1350℃ for *** growth is inhibited with lanthanum(La)incorporation into the BTO *** temperature semiconducting behavior with positive temperature coefficient of resistivity(PTCr)behavior at TC is attributed to electron compensation mechanism.

Accurate Fingerprint Enhancement and Identification Using Minutiae Extraction

Fingerprints are an extraordinary source for recognizable proof of people. Unique finger impression acknowledgment is one of the most seasoned types of biometric identification. However, getting a decent unique finger impression picture isn’t that simple. So we must process unique finger impression picture before coordinating. A crucial advance in measurements of fingerprint minutiae is to obtain minutiae from the finger impression pictures dependably. However, fingerprint images are occasionally of perfect quality. They might be debased and defiled because of varieties in skin and impression conditions. Along these lines, image enhancement strategies utilize other details extraction to acquire a more reliable estimation of minutiae areas. The primary objective of this research work is to introduce a superior and improved unique fingerprint image. We studied the elements identifying with getting elite component focuses detection algorithm, for example, picture quality, segmentation, picture upgrade and highlight recognition. Usually utilized features for enhancing unique finger impression picture quality are Fourier spectrum energy, Sobel filter energy, and local orientation. Precise segmentation of unique finger impression edges from a broad foundation is vital. For productive improvement and feature extraction algorithms, we zero the commotion in segmented features. As a pre-processing method, we need to perform comprising of field introduction, ridge frequency estimation, Sobel filtering, division. Then connect the resulting picture to a thinning algorithm and consequent minutiae extraction. After resultant extraction of these minutiae focuses, we will utilize the picture with focuses for coordinating or finding the offenders and also for other security issues. The procedure of image pre-processing and minutiae extraction is explored. The simulations are performed in the MATLAB environment to assess the execution of the implemented algorithm.
