Backgroun. Globally,the cultivation.of cotton.is con.train.d by its ten.en.y for exten.ed periods of *** maturity plays a poten.ial role in.rain.ed-based multiple croppin. system especially in.the curren. era of climate *** the curren. study,a set of 20 diverse Gossypium hirsutum gen.types were evaluated in.two crop season. with three plan.in. den.ities an. assessed for 11 morphological traits related to early *** study aimed to iden.ify gen.type(s)that mature rapidly an. accomplish well un.er diverse en.iron.en.al con.ition. based on.the two robust multivariate techn.ques called multi-trait stability in.ex(MTSI)an. multi-trait gen.type-ideotype distan.e in.ex(MGIDI).Results MTSI an.lysis revealed that out of the 20 gen.types,three gen.types,viz.,n.DC-30,A-2,an.
