A negative unipolar pulsed voltage is applied to study internal electrical parameters of the xenon filled dielectric barrier discharge （DBD） sources. The VUV radiation emitted from these sources is characterized by means of the photoluminescence intensity of the red phosphor pellet. The red phosphor converts the VUV radiation into visible radiation and the emission spectra include a peak at 619.56 nm. The emission characteristics of the red phosphor are analyzed in terms of the pressure-distance （pd）, rise time and frequency of the pulsed voltage waveform. The emission intensity measured at different operational conditions confirms that the formation and decay of the xenon excimer, Xe2^＊, increase with the increase in reduced electric field, E/N. After exceeding certain limits of E/N, the intensity of Xe2^＊ decreases rapidly.

The structural, electronic, optical and thermodynamic properties of Mo2Ga2C are investigated using density func- tional theory （DFT） within the generalized gradient approximation （GGA）. The optimized crystal structure is obtained and the lattice parameters are compared with available experimental data. The electronic density of states （DOS） is calculated and analyzed. The metallic behavior for the compound is confirmed and the value of DOS at Fermi level is 4.2 states per unit cell per eV. Technologically important optical parameters （e.g., dielectric function, refractive index, absorption coefficient, photo conductivity, reflectivity, and loss function） are calculated for the first time. The study of dielectric constant （ε1） indicates the Drude-like behavior. The absorption and conductivity spectra suggest that the compound is metallic. The reflectance spectrum shows that this compound has the potential to be used as a solar reflector. The thermodynamic properties such as the temperature and pressure dependent bulk modulus, Debye temperature, specific heats, and thermal expansion coefficient of Mo2Ga2C MAX phase are derived from the quasi-harmonic Debye model with phononic effect also for the first time. Analysis of Tc expression using available parameter values （DOS, Debye temperature, atomic mass, etc.） suggests that the compound is less likely to be superconductor.

Organic molecular ferroelectric diisopropylammonium chloride(dipaCl)was successfully synthesized using diisopropylamine,hydrochloric acid(57%)and methanol *** permittivity,impedance,modulus spectroscopy and conductivity were systematically studied by Capacitance-Conductance(CP-G)measurements in the temperature range of 373-445 *** property tests clearly show that the organic molecular ferroelectric dipaCl obeys Curies-Weiss law 1/e=(T-T0)/*** real(Z′)and imaginary(Z″)parts of the electrical modulus were calculated from the various values of e′and e″.It is shown that AC conductivity satisfies the relation s(w)∞wn,where the power exponent n depends on temperature and *** Arrhenius equation,the activation energies Es and Eh are also calculated which describes the complete conduction mechanism of dipaCl.

The structural vibrational, thermodynamical, and optical properties of potentially technologically important, weakly coupled MAX compound, Sc2 Al C are calculated using density functional theory(DFT). The structural properties of ScAlC are compared with the results reported earlier. The vibrational, thermodynamical, and optical properties are theoretically estimated for the first time. The phonon dispersion curve is calculated and the dynamical stability of this compound is investigated. The optical and acoustic modes are observed clearly. We calculate the Helmholtz free energy(F), internal energy(E), entropy(S), and specific heat capacity(Cv) from the phonon density of states. Various optical parameters are also calculated. The reflectance spectrum shows that this compound has the potential to be used as an efficient solar reflector.

COVID-19 is one of themost highly infectious diseases ever emerged and caused by newly discovered severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).It has already led the entire world to health and economic *** has invaded the whole universe all most every *** present study demonstrates with a nine mutually exclusive compartmental model on transmission dynamics of this pandemic disease(COVID-19),with special focus on the transmissibility of symptomatic and asymptomatic infection from susceptible ***,the compartmental model has been investigated with mathematical analysis and computer simulations in order to understand the dynamics of COVID-19 ***,mathematical analysis of the model has been carried out in broadly by illustrating some well-known methods including exactness,equilibrium and stability analysis in terms of basic reproduction *** investigate the sensitivity of the model with respect to the variation of the parameters’***,computer simulations are performed to illustrate the *** analysis reveals that the death rate from coronavirus disease increases as the infection rate increases,whereas infection rate extensively decreases with the increase of quarantined *** quarantined individuals also lead to increase the concentration of recovered ***,the infection rate of COVID-19 increases more surprisingly as the rate of asymptomatic individuals increases than that of the symptomatic ***,the infection rate decreases significantly due to increase of self-immunity rate.

We present the investigation on LaF3/porous silicon （PS） system that has properties of both the materials to be applied in photonics. Epilayers of LaF3 are grown on PS under different anodization conditions using electron-beam evaporation （EBE）. The characteristics of the LaF3/PS system are analyzed by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscope （SEM）, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）, and photoluminescence （PL）. XRD confirms the polycrystalline nature of the LaFz film. Nearly stoichiometric growth of LaF3 on PS is established by EDX. Such a thin LaF3 layer grown on PS leads to a good enhancement of PL yield of PS. But with the increasing thickness of LaF3 layer, PL intensity of PS is found to decrease along with a small blue-shift.

Objective:To ascertain analgesic,antibacterial and central nervous system(CNS)depressant activities of ethyl acetate,dichloromethane and carbon tetrachloride fractions of methanol extract of Albizia proceru(***)***:Leaves extracts of *** were tested for analgesic activity by acetic acid induced and formalin test method in *** in vitro antibacterial activity was performed by agar well diffusion *** depressant activity was evaluated by hole cross and open field ***:All the extracts at 200 mg/kg exhibited significant(P<0.01)analgesic activity in acetic acid induced and formalin tests method in *** activity of the ethyl acetate fraction was almost same like as standard drug indomelhacin in acetic acid induced *** CNS depressant activity of the extracts at 500 mg/kg was comparable to the positive control diazepam as determined by hole cross and open field test *** extracts exhibited moderate antimicrobial activity against all the tested microorganisms(Staphylococcus aureus,Bacillus cereus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Esherichia coli,Shigetta *** boydii)at concentration of 0.8 mg/*** measured diameter of zone of inhibition for the extracts was within the range of 7 to 12 mm which was less than the standard kanamycin(16-24 mm).Conclusions:It is concluded that all the extracts possess potential analgesic and CNS depressants *** study also showed that different fractions of methanol extract could be potential sources of new antimicrobial agents.
