Effect of Doxorubicin on Histomorphology of Liver of Wistar Albino Rats

Doxorubicin is associated with adverse effects on organs like liver. This study was done to find the effects of doxorubicin on liver of wistar albino rats. Sixty healthy wistar albino rats were taken for the study. The rats were randomly divided in to 4 groups （2 experimental groups; group AI and A2, and 2 control groups;group Bland B2 each containing 16 rats）. The experimental groups were given a single dose of doxorubicin i.e. 10 mg/kg body weight intraperitoneally and sacrificed after 7 days and 14 days for each group. Rats under control groups were given a single intraperitoneal dose of 2.5 ml/kg body weight normal saline and sacrificed with their respective experimental groups. A significant difference （p 〈 0.001） and （p = 0.005） in final body weight was observed among group A1 experimental and BI control rats, and among group A2 experimental and B2 control rats. As compared to group B2 control, group A2 experimental rats had significantly （p = 0.043） lower liver weight. Diameter ofhepatocyte （p 〈 0.001 for both groups） and nucleus （p=0.004 for group A1 and control BI, and p 〈 0.001 for group A2 and control B2） was significantly higher in experimental rats as compared to their respective controls. Cross-sections of the liver of both control groups had normal architecture. However, there was progressive destruction of liver architecture across the experimental groups. Doxorubicin causes the disruption of normal architecture of liver in rats. Thus care needs to be taken during doxorubicin chemotherapy to minimize effects on river.

Brewing and biochemical characterization of Camellia japonica petal wine with comprehensive discussion on metabolomics

A novel wine has been developed from Camellia japonica’s petal by fermenting the decoction with Saccharomyces cerevisiae or brewer’s yeast. pH, brix, specific gravity and alcohol percentage were tested to study the physicochemical properties of the wine. Qualitative tests indicated presence of phenols such as flavonoids, coumarins;protein;glyco-sides;glycerin;terpenoids;steroids;and fatty acids in the wine. Total phenol content was found high in the decoction and in its fermented form as well. In vitro biological activities such as antioxidant activity, antidiabetic activity and lipid peroxidation inhibition power were assessed in samples. Furthermore, GC-MS analysis helped to detect volatiles present in the unfermented decoction and understand the effect of fermentation on its changing metabolome while column chromatography assisted the separation of solvent-based fractions. Notable outcomes from this study were detection of bioactive compound quinic acid in the decoction and a proposed pathway of its metabolic breakdown after fermentation. Results of this research revealed biochemical and physicochemical acceptability of this wine prepared from an underutilized flower.

This research work was designed to attempt and propose the first report on production and biochemical characterization of fermented tea flower petal decoction or simply tea petal *** tea petal decoction and brewer’s yeast or Saccharomyces cerevisiae were co-cultured for *** activity and chromatographic separation of potential candidates were *** investigations for qualitative characters on this fermented broth revealed the presence of steroids,tannin,flavonoids,phenol,cardiac glycosides,coumarin,caffeine *** manufactured fermented broth showed high free radical scavenging activity after 2 months of *** DPPH scavenging activities were also observed in solvent fractions of acetone,ethanol and *** antioxidant activity,alcohol percentage and other qualities were seen to be gradually increased during *** chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis revealed the presence of 44 compounds including many potential antioxidant molecules and other bioactive ***,presence of alcohol with medicinally active compounds and antioxidant activity will make it as acceptable as a good wine and tea flower as economically functional.

We conducted a comprehensive study of the neutron capture cross section of 12C within the relevant astrophysical energy *** rigorous R-matrix analysis,we determined the Maxwellian-averaged cross section to be 11.98±0.25μb at kT=30 *** result is approximately four times higher than the thermal neutron capture cross section estimated in earlier studies assuming the 1/v *** implications of our findings extend to the region of inhomogeneous Big-Bang models in nuclear astrophysics,where understanding the behaviour of neutron capture cross sections plays a crucial role in elucidating the intricate processes that shaped the early universe.

Graph Convolutional Network Based Fault Detection and Identification for Low-voltage DC Microgrid

This paper presents a novel fault detection and identification method for low-voltage direct current(DC)microgrid with meshed *** proposed method is based on graph convolutional network(GCN),which utilizes the explicit spatial information and measurement data of the network topology to identify a *** has a more substantial feature extraction ability even in the presence of noise and bad *** adjacency matrix for GCN is developed by considering the network topology as an inherent *** bus voltage and line current samples after faults are regarded as the node ***,the DC microgrid model is developed using PSCAD/EMTDC simulation,and fault simulation is carried out by considering different possible events that include environmental and physical *** performance of the proposed method under different conditions is compared with those of different machine learning techniques such as convolutional neural network(CNN),support vector machine(SVM),and fully connected network(FCN).The results reveal that the proposed method is more effective than others at detecting and classifying *** method also possesses better robustness under the presence of noise and bad data.

Design of a Robust Optimal Decentralized PI Controller Based on Nonlinear Constraint Optimization For Level Regulation: An Experimental Study

This paper presents the development of a new robust optimal decentralized PI controller based on nonlinear optimization for liquid level control in a coupled tank system. The proposed controller maximizes the closed-loop bandwidth for specified gain and phase margins, with constraints on the overshoot ratio to achieve both closed-loop performance and robustness. In the proposed work, a frequency response fitting model reduction technique is initially employed to obtain a first order plus dead time(FOPDT) model of each higher order subsystem. Furthermore, based on the reduced order model, a proposed controller is designed. The stability and performance of the proposed controller are verified by considering multiplicative input and output uncertainties. The performance of the proposed optimal robust decentralized control scheme has been compared with that of a decentralized PI controller. The proposed controller is implemented in real-time on a coupled tank system. From the obtained results,it is shown that the proposed optimal decentralized PI controller exhibits superior control performance to maintain the desired level, for both the nominal as well as the perturbed case as compared to a decentralized PI controller.

Improved energy recovery from dark fermented cane molasses using microbial fuel cells

A major limitation associated with fermenta- tive hydrogen production is the low substrate conversion efficiency. This limitation can be overcome by integrating the process with a microbial fuel cell （MFC） which converts the residual energy of the substrate to electricity. Studies were carried out to check the feasibility of this integration. Biohydrogen was produced from the fermen- tation of cane molasses in both batch and continuous modes. A maximum yield of about 8.23 mol Hz/kg CODremoved was observed in the batch process compared to 11.6 mol Hz/kg CODremoved in the continuous process. The spent fermentation media was then used as a substrate in an MFC for electricity generation. The MFC parameters such as the initial anolyte pH, the substrate concentration and the effect ofpre-treatment were studied and optimized to maximize coulombic efficiency. Reductions in COD and total carbohydrates were about 85% and 88% respectively. A power output of 3.02 W/m3 was obtained with an anolyte pH of 7.5 using alkali pre-treated spent media. The results show that integrating a MFC with dark fermentation is a promising way to utilize the substrate energy.

In this paper a stable formation control law that simultaneously ensures collision avoidance has been *** is assumed that the communication graph is undirected and *** proposed formation control law is a combination of the consensus term and the collision avoidance term(CAT).The first order consensus term is derived for the proposed model,while ensuring the Lyapunov *** consensus term creates and maintains the desired formation shape,while the CAT avoids the *** the collision avoidance,the potential function based CAT makes the agents repel from each *** unrestricted repelling magnitude cannot ensure the graph connectivity at the time of collision *** we have proposed a formation control law,which ensures this connectivity even during the collision *** is achieved by the proposed novel adaptive potential *** potential function adapts itself,with the online tuning of the critical variable associated with *** tuning has been done based on the lower bound of the critical variable,which is derived from the proposed connectivity *** efficacy of the proposed scheme has been validated using simulations done based on formations of six and thirty-two agents respectively.
