This paper presents the development of a new robust optimal decentralized PI controller based on nonlinear optimization for liquid level control in a coupled tank system. The proposed controller maximizes the closed-loop bandwidth for specified gain and phase margins, with constraints on the overshoot ratio to achieve both closed-loop performance and robustness. In the proposed work, a frequency response fitting model reduction technique is initially employed to obtain a first order plus dead time(FOPDT) model of each higher order subsystem. Furthermore, based on the reduced order model, a proposed controller is designed. The stability and performance of the proposed controller are verified by considering multiplicative input and output uncertainties. The performance of the proposed optimal robust decentralized control scheme has been compared with that of a decentralized PI controller. The proposed controller is implemented in real-time on a coupled tank system. From the obtained results,it is shown that the proposed optimal decentralized PI controller exhibits superior control performance to maintain the desired level, for both the nominal as well as the perturbed case as compared to a decentralized PI controller.

As a huge number of satellites revolve around the earth,a great probability exists to observe and determine the change phenomena on the earth through the analysis of satellite images on a real-time ***,classifying satellite images plays strong assistance in remote sensing communities for predicting tropical *** this article,a classification approach is proposed using Deep Convolutional Neural Network(DCNN),comprising numerous layers,which extract the features through a downsampling process for classifying satellite cloud *** is trained marvelously on cloud images with an impressive amount of prediction *** time decreases for testing images,whereas prediction accuracy increases using an appropriate deep convolutional network with a huge number of training dataset *** satellite images are taken from the Meteorological&Oceanographic Satellite Data Archival Centre,the organization is responsible for availing satellite cloud images of India and its *** proposed cloud image classification shows 94% prediction accuracy with the DCNN framework.

This paper presents a study on protection coordination of over current relays (OCRs) in a distributed system by considering its different operating modes. Two different case studies which are considered in present work for protection coordination include: (i) DG interfaced distribution system in grid connected mode and (ii) DG interfaced distribution system in islanded mode of operation. The proposed approach is tested on the Canadian urban benchmark distribution system consisting of 9 buses. On the occurrence of fault, level of fault current changes which in turn changes the operating time of various OCRs. Therefore, it is important to calculate and suggest method of the relay setting in order to minimize the operating time of relays and also to avoid its mal-operation. In this paper, the protection scheme is optimally designed by taking into account the above mentioned conditions. The operating time of relays can be decreased and, at the same time, coordination can be maintained by considering the optimum values of time dial setting (TDS). Genetic Algorithm (GA) has been used for determining the optimum values of TDS and hence operating time.

Viper bite envenomation represents a significant occupational hazard among agricultural workers in *** viper bite envenomation is usually suspected when a patient presents with predominant local symptoms at the bitten site,including pain,swelling,and ***,systemic findings such as diffuse intravascular coagulation,hypotension,and shock may alert physicians of viper bite envenomation rather than a neurotoxic snake ***,cerebral complications are rare in viper bites but may potentially *** nervous system involvement in a viper bite is either due to neurotoxins or hemorrhagins present in the venom,which may induce cerebral thrombosis,ischemia,infarction,and *** we present a case of a previously healthy adult male who succumbed to extensive subarachnoid,intracerebral,and intraventricular hemorrhages involving bilateral cerebral hemispheres following viper snake bite *** report highlights the importance of anticipating cerebral complications in viper bite envenomation,a rare *** also emphasizes the need for early antisnake venom administration to prevent and control systemic envenomation and its complications.

Morbidity Profile and Causes of Mortality in Type 2 Diabetes Patients: Data from a Tertiary Teaching Hospital from Eastern India

Background: Data regarding the prevalence of morbidity and mortality in patients of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is scanty in India. Objectives: To determine the prevalence of micro and macro vascular complications, acute metabolic complications, infections, Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) and cause of mortality in T2DM patients admitted to a tertiary care teaching hospital in Eastern India. Material and Methods: This was a hospital-based prospective study evaluating 150 T2DM patients admitted to a tertiary care institution in Eastern India. Diagnosis of micro and macro vascular complications, infections and NAFLD was made using standard protocols. In case of death, the most probable cause was noted. Results: Out of 150 patients, 14.7% of patients were newly diagnosed T2DM and out of them 41% of patients had vascular complications and 54.5% had infections. Of the total patients, 56% had nephropathy, 20% neuropathy, 17.3% retinopathy, 31.3% CVD, 11.3% CAD, 4.6% acute metabolic complications, 44% infections and 16.6% had NAFLD respectively. Macrovascular events occured earlier than microvascular complications. Multiple logistic regression analysis showed strong association of age, duration of diabetes, serum cholesterol, triglyceride, LDL-C with retinopathy (Regression coefficient β: -0.1086807, 0.4127152, -0.0513393, 0.0146429, 0.0587475;p < 0.05, < 0.001, < 0.05, < 0.05, < 0.05 respectively), while only duration of diabetes was strongly associated with nephropathy and neuropathy (Regression coefficient β: 0.2538751, 0.2261636;p < 0.001 for each). Increasing age was associated with CAD (Regression coefficient β: 0.055392;p β: 0.0055014;p 18.6% patients died due to diabetes related complications. Cardiovascular (CV)-related deaths (CVD+CAD) were most common cause (51.5%: CVD 36.4%, CAD 15.1%) to be followed by infections (27.3%) and then chronic kidney disease (12.1%). 基于振动理论的桥梁损伤检测方法需要精确提取桥梁的动力参数,动力参数识别是桥梁损伤检测的首要步骤。为了提取5跨预应力混凝土简支梁桥的动力参数,在桥梁上进行了两组振动试验,分别研究了每跨桥梁的动力特征和5跨桥梁的整体振动特性。所有单跨的4阶动力参数将根据智能无线传感器测量结果,应用快速傅立叶变换、半功率带宽法和交叉反应谱法计算得到。同时也讨论了振动传输,激励跨桥梁和非激励跨桥梁之间的关系。研究结果表明:桥墩长度会影响桥梁的自振频率;存在碎石均布荷载的情况下振动可以在所有跨桥梁之间传播;受竖向激励的一跨桥梁主振型为弯曲模态,非激励跨桥梁主振型趋向于扭转模态。研究结果将作为桥梁健康监测技术的基础研究。
