The present study enlightens the two-dimensional analysis of the thermo-mechanical response for a mi-cropolar double porous thermoelastic material with voids(MDPTMWV)by virtue of Eringen’s theory of nonlocal ***-Gibson-Thompson(MGT)heat equation is introduced to the considered model in the context of memory-dependent derivative and variable *** employing the normal mode technique,the non-dimensional coupled governing equations of motion are solved to determine the an-alytical expressions of the displacements,temperature,void volume fractions,microrotation vector,force stress tensors,and equilibrated stress *** two-dimensional graphs are presented to demon-strate the influence of various parameters,such as kernel functions,thermal conductivity,and ***,different generalized thermoelasticity theories with variable conductivity are compared to visualize the variations in the distributions associated with the prior mentioned *** particu-lar cases are also discussed in the presence and absence of different parameters.

The higher concentration of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) in the lower atmosphere is severely harmful for human health and it also makes visibility diminution along with weather and climate *** main objective is to find out the spatiotemporal variation and dispersal of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) along with COVID-19 infection in the dusty city *** consecutive two years PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) data of different stations have been obtained from State Pollution Control Board,*** West *** trajectory analysis has been done through HYSPLIT(Hybrid Single Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory)model to find the path and direction of air *** result showed that the various meteorological or environmental factors(such as temperature,relative humidity,wind,wind speed,pressure and gusty wind)and geographical location regulate the spatiotemporal variation of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5).These factors like high temperature with relative humidity and strong wind influence to disperse the particulate matters from north to south direction from city to outside during summer in Kolkata metropolitan *** summer(both pre and lockdown years),the height of particles is extended up to 1000 m owing to active atmospheric ventilation whereas in winter it is confined within 100 *** HYSPLIT model clearly specified that the particles dispersed from south,south-west to north and north east direction due to strong *** constant magnification of PM_(10) and PM_(2.5) in the lower atmosphere leads to greater frequency of COVID-19 infections and *** Kolkata,the one of the crucial reasons of high infection and deaths(COVID-19)is co-morbidity of people.

Field-based sedimentology,state of the art facies analysis and sequence stratigraphic framework analysis have revealed the controls of local and global tectonics,basin-marginal slope,climate and changes in relative sea level (RSL) over the sedimentation pattern and evolution of a Neoproterozoic Kerur Formation within the Badami Group of Kaladgi Supergroup in *** entire succession shows three major cycles of *** study and fluvial architectural elemental analysis suggest considerable variations in depositional environments as well as palaeogeography.A transition from basin-margin alluvial cone deposits to braided system,initially with fluctuating ephemeral flows then to a steadier semi-perennial nature,is discernible within the 1^(st) cycle,in response to decreasing depositional slope with rising water *** initial alluvial cone and braided ephemeral streams of high slope areas is designated as a product of low accommodation systems tract (LAST),while the semi-perennial system with steadier flows,representing the axial river of the initial rift valley,appears to be a product of high-accommodation systems tract (HAST).The 2^(nd) cycle begins with a perennial and steady braided river system and grades upward to a shallow marine succession,comprising wave-dominated,well-sorted sandstone,with a granular transgressive lag at the ***,the bottommost fluvial interval of the 2^(nd) cycle constitutes the lowstand systems tract (LST).The marine succession represents deposits of outer shelf offshore to foreshore-beach settings and is composed of an initially deepening and fining upward transgressive systems tract (TST),followed by a coarsening and shallowing upward highstand systems tract (HST) with a maximum marine flooding surface (MFS) in between,demarcated by a shale-rich condensed *** 3^(rd) cycle,with its prograding alluvial fan and aggrading braided fluvial deposits and restricted occurrence,represents only the low accommodation systems

Recovery of rare earth metals through biosorption: An overview

Rare earth metals （REMs） are a series of 17 elements that have widespread and unique applications in high technology, power generation, communications, and defense industries. These resources are also pivotal to emergent sustainable energy and car- bon alternative technologies. Recovery of REMs is interesting due to its high market prices along with various industrial applications. Conventional technologies, viz. precipitation, filtration, liquid-liquid extraction, solid-liquid extraction, ion exchange, super critical extraction, electrowinning, electrorefining, electroslag ref＇ming, etc., which have been developed for the recovery of REMs, are not economically attractive. Biosorption represents a biotechnological innovation as well as a cost effective excellent tool for the recovery of rare earth metals from aqueous solutions. A variety ofbiomaterials such as algae, fungi, bacteria, resin, activated carbon, etc., have been reported to serve as potential adsorbents for the recovery of REMs. The metal binding mechanisms, as well as the parameters in- fluencing the uptake of rare earth metals and isotherm modeling are presented here. This article provides an overview of past achievements and current scenario of the biosorption studies carried out using some promising biosorbents which could serve as an economical means for recovering REMs. The experimental findings reported by different workers will provide insights into this re- search frontier.

Abstract The extraordinary lateral continuity of isopachous stromatotite laminae in the -87 m-thick Mesoproterozoic Lakshanhatti Dolomite （India） evinces chemical precipitation. Fan-shaped crystals grown on tamina surfaces further corroborate this contention; growth of fan-shaped crystats under the overhanging stromatolite column-margin indicates direct carbonate precipitation from ambient waters. The fan-shaped crystats are stacked up, separated onty by thin dark micritic taminae. In a retativety upper stratigraphic in- terval of the formation, tighter laminae characterized by a dotted texture and traversed by numerous winding tubutar voids change graduatty upwards into dark micritic taminae. Some sporadicatty distributed lenticutar intraciastic beds also have the similarly dark micritic coatings. Ctear carbonate cement crusts atso occur between laminae and between successive dark micritic coats around intraciasts. DuU cathodotuminescence （CL） characterizes this cement as weU as the cement lining within earty dia^enetic voids, in contrast, the taminae with dotted textures show dirty orange luminescence, white the dark micritic taminae and the dark micritic grain-coats display dear bright orange luminescence. Pyrite and its pseudomorphs are preferabty concentrated along the dark micritic laminae. Carbon content in these dark micritic components, whether laminae or coats, is much higher than in the lighter components, exceeding what can be accounted for their CaMg（COs）2 composition. A large part of this carbon is kerogen, ptausibly biogenic. The dark components are, therefore, reasonably, though not unequivocally, assumed to be microbial mats. Degradation of the mats might have given rise to the tight laminae with dotted textures. The fuzzy-margin tubes within the tight laminae probabty manifest the escape of gases generated during organic matter decomposition. The microstructure determines the photovoltaic performance of a thin film organic semiconductor *** relationship between microstructure and performance is usually highly non-linear and expensive to evaluate,thus making microstructure optimization ***,we show a data-driven approach for mapping the microstructure to photovoltaic performance using deep convolutional neural *** characterize this approach in terms of two critical metrics,its generalizability(has it learnt a reasonable map?),and its intepretability(can it produce meaningful microstructure characteristics that influence its prediction?).A surrogate model that exhibits these two features of generalizability and intepretability is particularly useful for subsequent design *** illustrate this by using the surrogate model for both manual exploration(that verifies known domain insight)as well as automated microstructure *** envision such approaches to be widely applicable to a wide variety of microstructure-sensitive design problems.

Two austenitic Mn steels(Fe-17 Mn and Fe-17 Mn-3 Al(wt%, so as the follows)) were subjected to thermomechanical processing(TMP) consisting of forging followed by solutionization and hot rolling. The rolled samples were annealed at 650 and 800°C to relieve the internal stress and to induce recrystallization. The application of TMP and heat treatment to the Fe-17 Mn/Fe-17 Mn-3 Al steels refined the austenite grain size from 169 μm in the as-solutionized state to 9–13 μm, resulting in a substantial increase in hardness from HV 213 to HV 410 for the Fe-17 Mn steel and from HV 210 to HV 387 for the Fe-17 Mn-3 Al steel. The elastic modulus values, as evaluated by the nanoindentation technique, increased from(175 ± 11) to(220 ± 12) GPa and from(163 ± 15) to(205 ± 13) GPa for the Fe-17 Mn and Fe-17 Mn-3 Al steels, respectively. The impact energy of the thermomechanically processed austenitic Mn steels was lower than that of the steels in their as-solutionized state. The addition of Al to the Fe-17 Mn steel decreased the hardness and elastic modulus but increased the impact energy.

New method for rekindling the explosive waves in Maxwellian space plasmas

Our interest is to study the nonlinear wave phenomena in complex plasma constituents with Maxwellian electrons and ions. The main aim is to use a new method known as the(G′/G)method to exhibit the effects of dust charge fluctuations on the evolution of nonlinear waves. The coherent features of the shock and solitary waves along with the generation of high-energy waves have been amplified through the solution of the Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation,and the different natures of the waves were found successfully. Results are discussed graphically with the thoughtful choice of typical plasma parameters from different space plasma environments, exactly those found in cosmic dusty plasmas laden in ionospheric auroral region,radial spokes of Saturn's rings, planetary nebulae and solar F-corona region. All conclusions are in good accordance with the actual occurrences and could be of interest to further investigations of space. Moreover, the applicability of the present method is hoped to be a great enhancement by its use as ingenious mechanism used to evaluate the soliton dynamics and Burgers shock waves.

Development of Optimized Phenomic Predictors for Efficient Plant Breeding Decisions Using Phenomic-Assisted Selection in Soybean

The rate of advancement made in phenomic-assisted breeding methodologies has lagged those of genomic-assisted techniques,which is now a critical component of mainstream cultivar development ***,advancements made in phenotyping technologies have empowered plant scientists with affordable high-dimensional datasets to optimize the operational efficiencies of breeding *** and seed yield data was collected across six environments for a panel of 292 soybean accessions with varying genetic *** forest,a machine learning(ML)algorithm,was used to map complex relationships between phenomic traits and seed yield and prediction performance assessed using two cross-validation(CV)scenarios consistent with breeding *** develop a prescriptive sensor package for future high-throughput phenotyping deployment to meet breeding objectives,feature importance in tandem with a genetic algorithm(GA)technique allowed selection of a subset of phenotypic traits,specifically optimal *** results illuminated the capability of fusingML and optimization techniques to identify a suite of in-season phenomic traits that will allow breeding programs to decrease the dependence on resource-intensive end-season phenotyping(e.g.,seed yield harvest).While we illustrate with soybean,this study establishes a template for deploying multitrait phenomic prediction that is easily amendable to any crop species and any breeding objective。
