Wuhan novel coronavirus or 2019-novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)infection is a rapidly emerging respiratory viral disease[1].2019-nCoV infection is characterized as febrile illness with possible severe lung complication[1].The disease was firstly reported in China in December 2019 and then spread to many countries(such as Thailand,Japan and Singapore)[2,3].As a new disease,there is a limited knowledge of treatment for the infection.Lu recently proposed that some drug might be useful in treatment of 2019-nCoV infection[3].

To understand the infection process, the viral multiplication and entry to the cell is widely studied. The Ebola virus nucleoprotein is the important problem for the pathological process. Focusing on the specific biological process, the post translational modification is needed. Here, the authors used the bioinformatics study to find the phosphorylation sites within the Ebola virus nucleoprotein and could identify many new sites.

Acute renal failure is an important acute renal disease.It is the totally acute impairment of the renal function and can be fatal if there is no proper and timely treatment.There are various causes of acute renal failure.The acute renal failure might be due to contact with nephrotoxic substance.The food borne acute renal failure is an important problem that is sporadically seen worldwide.Of several food borne acute renal failure disorders,the fish borne acute renal failure is an important problem.In this specific short review,the authors summauize and discuss the cases on important fish borne acute renal failure disorders.

The recent problem on Middle East respiratory syndrome is a very interesting new infection emerging from the Gulf area. For practitioners in intensive care medicine, knowledge update on this new emerging infection is needed. Preparation for diagnostic tool and antiviral drug to cope with possible outbreak is suggested. In addition, the consideration of ecological factors of this new disease is important. The consideration of not only ecological but also humanistic background can be useful to manage the new disease, Middle East respiratory syndrome as well. Finally, how to improve medical service for underserved population is a big issue. The local health department must play an important role.

Objective:To call for attention that the problem of iodine deficiency and low salt quality can still be seen in sea coastal province.Methods:A total of 225 salt samples from each available marine salt shop in the sea coastal province of Thailand were collected.All samples were passed to the laboratory for the analysis of iodine content.The basic screening tool was I-KIT test(Mahidol University,Thailand),which was the standard test used in previous survey.Results:Of overall 225 samples,there was no sample that could pass the acceptable criteria of iodine content(100 mg/L).It gave the iodine content failure rate equal to 0%.Conclusions:Intensive research of the iodine content in salt sold and available in a sea coastal province of Thailand shows that the salt sold in salt shop in this sea coastal province is not locally available from marine salt field but from the dirt salt field from remote provinces because of the higher cost of marine salt.As a result,the control of salt quality in any areas is still needed.The use of iodine fortification should be applied to any areas,sea coastal or non sea coastal.

To the editor Sir,biting midges is a common insect that can be seen in many beach areas in the tropical countries.Biting midges bite can cause health problem and this can be fatal.Here,the author reports a case of anaphylactoid reaction to biting midges bite.The patient was a 30 years’old male patient presenting with the problem of swelling right arm,palpitation and difficulty in respiration.This patient gave the history of biting midges bite at his right ring finger during having lunch at a restaurant at a beach.
