Dear Editor, Plant cell suspension cultures have been used as model systems to circumvent the problems associated with the analyses of a multi-factorial plant that is composed of multiple tissue and cell types exposed to diverse signals. A number of plant suspension cultures have proven to be valuable to study various topics including defense response, secondary metabolite formation, ion transport, gene regulation, and signal duction （Roitsch and Sinha, 2002 and references therein）. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between plaques of aor tic atheroma detected by transoesophageal echocardiography and the condition of the coronary arteries at coronary angiography. Two hundred and seventeen consecu tive patients were included for systematic transoesophageal echocardiography bli nded to the results of coronary angiography. Significant coronary disease was de fined as stenosis of at least 70%of the artery lumen. Aortic atherosclerosis wa s classified in four grades. The average age of the patients was 54.5±10.5 year s. The sex ratio was 2.55 in favour of men. The average coronary score was 5±4. 5 and the lesion index was 1.1±0.96. One hundred and fifty nine patients had a ortic atheroma,73%of which (80 cases) were complex lesions. The descending aort a was the commonest site (91%) followed by the transverse (40%and ascending ao rta (14%). When the ascending aorta was affected there was a very significant a ssociation with coronary artery disease (100%of cases). Sixty one per cent of patients had lesions of one aortic segment, 28%had lesions of two aortic segmen ts and in 10%, all three aortic segments were involved. The presence of aortic atheroma was correlated with coronary artery disease with a sensitivity and spec ificity of 86%and 76%respectively. The positive and negative predictive values were 81%and 31%respectively. Seventy five per cent of patients with a corona ry score of at least 7 had aortic atheroma with complex lesions in 47%of cases. The lesion index was significantly higher in this group when the coronary score was less than 7 (1.98±0.8 vs 0.65±0.7, pmore complex lesions of the descending than of the ascending a orta (94 vs 25%). It has been reported that the host of SARS-CoV-2 can be extremely wide due to the conservation of angiotensin converting enzyme 2 in mammals[1].Several studies have reported natural or experimental infection with SARS-CoV-2 in pets,farm and captive wild animals[2-4].However,to the best of our knowledge,there was no published study assessing virus circulation among domestic or captive animals in Central,West and East *** this study,we assessed the presence and circulation of SARS-CoV-2 or other betacoronaviruses in pets,livestock and animals kept in captivity in conservation centers in Haut-Ogoouéprovince,southeastern Gabon.

Psychotherapeutic practice in hospitals in Brazil started in the 1950s even before the profession of psychologist in the country was formalized, and has been building a fairly rich history because it is differentiated according to the development of the practice over the decades as a function of the various clinical methods associated with it, as a consequence of the policies and/or different theoretical orientations that have underpinned it. Twenty years after this practice began, during the 1970s, the field of mental health was configured as a major center of absorption of psychologists in an attempt to change the prevailing medical model. It is at that time that we can first see the formation of multidisciplinary teams linked to psychotherapy treatments. When we examine the relationship between the advancement of the practice and its theoretical foundations, in a field where political orientations toward the practice carried no less weight, we realize that this entire movement has led to important developments in the history of psychology in general. In order to specify what clinical practice in hospitals has contributed to psychology in general, it is necessary to follow its guidelines over the decades, where we can confirm that a certain prevalence of psychoanalysis has been and is being established. To the extent that it is characterized as a discourse directed at the subject, it is fundamental that it allows for situating the work in the hospital in an exchange with the medical field in such a way that each field may sustain its own particularities, respect their differences, and contribute, each in their own way, toward the advancement of clinical work. From the 1950s through today, clinical practice highlights a concern with asserting subjectivity in hospitals where the contributions of some psychoanalytical developments to different forms of psychotherapy have not been lacking.

morbidity and mortality associated with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) has decreased with highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART). Tenofovir is a nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) that is preferred by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) HIV treatment guidelines and is widely used for the initial treatment of HIV. Although tenofovir is generally well-tolerated, it has been associated with rare cases of acute nephrotoxicity. HIV-infected patients frequently have co-morbidities that require treatment, thus adding another level of complexity due to drug interactions and medication adverse effects with antiretrovirals. We present a patient who suffered an acute deterioration in renal function from tenofovir, leading to an accumulation of co-administered ethambutol, thus resulting in optic neuritis.

Dear Editor, The tropical plant madagascar periwinkle Catharanthus roseus （L.） *** is a rich source of plant-derived medicinal ter-penoid indole alkaloids （TIAs）, including the anti-hypertensive ajmalicine, the sedative compound serpentine, and the anti-cancer drugs vinblastine and vincristine. However, the latter two compounds are produced in C. roseus plants only in very low amounts. Elicitors such as hormones （e.g. jasmonates or salicylic acid） activate plant natural defense responses, includ-ing increased secondary metabolite production （EI-Sayed and Verpoorte, 2007; Lackman et al.. 2011）.

Objective: The aim of this work was to evaluate the vaginal content of women attending family planning controls and its relationship with the contraceptive practice used (oral contraceptive pills, intrauterine device, condoms, or rhythm method) as well as its relationship with the lack of regular contraception. Design: Observational, descriptive study. Setting: Servicio de Atención médica—ministerio de Salud—Sa Pereira—Santa ***. Population: A total of 250 women were studied following the BAVACO (balance of the vaginal content). methods: Standard method, which included the wet mount test, and Giemsa and Gram stain under the Nugent score. Results: Obtained from the vaginal microbiota, the vaginal inflammatory response, presence of yeast and Trichomonas allowed defining five basic vaginal microbial states which were statistically related to contraceptive methods. main Outcome measures: The association of each of the five vaginal states with the different contraceptive practices was determined by X2 test, considering p m EPI-INFO 6. Version 6.04). Results: A significantly positive association was found between oral contraceptives and normal microbiota (OR 3.98 – p = 0.000);intrauterine device and bacterial vaginosis (OR 10.1 – p = 0.000);whereas a negative relationship (OR 0.18 – p = 0.005) was found between oral contraceptives and bacterial vaginosis (OR 0.21 – p = 0.000). Conclusions: a) the positive association of combined oral contraceptives with a normal microbiota indicates a positive trend of protection, b) intrauterine devices increase whereas oral contraceptives decrease the risk for bacterial vaginosis, while oral contraceptives reduce the frequency.

This study evaluates the growth and chemical composition of the following marine microalgae: Dunaliella tertiolecta, Isochrysis galbana, and Tetraselmis gracilis and the chemical composition of Chlorella pyrenoidosa. microalgae can produce a number of compounds of high commercial value for the industry, mainly for the food industry. The growth kinetics, cell volume, pigments, carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and fatty acid and amino acid composition were evaluated. I. galbana had the largest number of cells per mL-1 (107), concentration of carotenoids (6.33 μg·mL-1), and carbohydrates (34.32%). D. tertiolecta and T. gracilis had the highest cell volume (560.6 and 592.7 μm3, respectively), the highest amount of total dry biomass. D. tertiolecta had the highest chlorophyll concentration (9.05 μg·mL-1), and C. pyrenoidosa had the highest protein (48.16%) and lipid (14.30%) content. The marine species D. Tertiolecta, I. galbana, and T. gracilis had high levels of monounsaturated fatty acids (C18:1 n9), and C. pyrenoidosa was high in polyunsaturated fatty acids (C18:2 n6 and C18:3 n3), indicating the present high nutritional value fatty acids. The microalgae studies showed a composition of amino acids that meet the nutritional requirements recommended by the FAO g·100 g-1 (FAO/WHO/UN, 1985) for adults and children (2 - 5 years), indicating that these proteins can be used in foods.

Keying of lithium chloride alkali halide salt into the interlamellar space of nacrite clay mineral leads to a stable hybrid material that after calcination under inert atmosphere at 723 - 873 K induces an amorphous metahybrid. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was performed to investigate the electric/dielectric properties of the hybrid with various parameters: frequency and temperature. Equivalent circuit was proposed to fit the EIS data. The experiment results show that the ionic conduction mechanism is related to the motion of Li+ cations which are thermally activated, named the hopping model. Furthermore, the resulting metahybrid obtained from dehydroxylation of the formal hybrid shows a superionic behavior with high ionic conductivity up to 10﹣2 S·m﹣1, good electrochemical stability and can be used as a solid electrolyte material for Li-ion batteries.
