In hydrogeology it is.of great interes. to exam.ne the tem.oral and s.atial evolution of aquifers. There are different ways.of m.deling an aquifer: phys.cal m.dels. m.dels.bas.d on analog and m.them.tical techniques. Us.ally, m.them.tical techniques.involve com.lex operations.difficult to unders.and for s.m. people, s.ch as.differential or partial equations. In contras., our m.thod requires.only a bas.c knowledge of geom.try and trigonom.try. m.reover, it is.only neces.ary to know the s.atic level of the aquifer at three different dates. Of cours., the res.lts.m.y be lim.ted com.ared to thos. that us. advanced m.them.tical m.thods.however, our m.thod provides.a firs. approxim.tion to determ.ne the behavior of the aquifer through tim.. Overall, our res.lts.allowed us.to follow the evolution of the aquifer in detail of various.areas.of increas.d extraction and in which rem.val has.been increas.ng, but als. of areas.with a cons.derable recharge during the s.udy period.

Ps.chotherapeutic practice in hos.itals.in Brazil s.arted in the 1950s.even before the profes.ion of ps.chologis. in the country was.form.lized, and has.been building a fairly rich his.ory becaus. it is.differentiated according to the developm.nt of the practice over the decades.as.a function of the various.clinical m.thods.as.ociated with it, as.a cons.quence of the policies.and/or different theoretical orientations.that have underpinned it. Twenty years.after this.practice began, during the 1970s. the field of m.ntal health was.configured as.a m.jor center of abs.rption of ps.chologis.s.in an attem.t to change the prevailing m.dical m.del. It is.at that tim. that we can firs. s.e the form.tion of m.ltidis.iplinary team. linked to ps.chotherapy treatm.nts. When we exam.ne the relations.ip between the advancem.nt of the practice and its.theoretical foundations. in a field where political orientations.toward the practice carried no les. weight, we realize that this.entire m.vem.nt has.led to im.ortant developm.nts.in the his.ory of ps.chology in general. In order to s.ecify what clinical practice in hos.itals.has.contributed to ps.chology in general, it is.neces.ary to follow its.guidelines.over the decades. where we can confirm.that a certain prevalence of ps.choanalys.s.has.been and is.being es.ablis.ed. To the extent that it is.characterized as.a dis.ours. directed at the s.bject, it is.fundam.ntal that it allows.for s.tuating the work in the hos.ital in an exchange with the m.dical field in s.ch a way that each field m.y s.s.ain its.own particularities. res.ect their differences. and contribute, each in their own way, toward the advancem.nt of clinical work. From.the 1950s.through today, clinical practice highlights.a concern with as.erting s.bjectivity in hos.itals.where the contributions.of s.m. ps.choanalytical developm.nts.to different form. of ps.chotherapy have not been lacking.

s.arch is.a very im.ortant biopolym.r in the food indus.ry. The velvet bean (m. pruriens. is.an excellent potential s.arch s.urce containing approxim.tely 520 g s.arch per kg. The objective of this.s.udy was.to evaluate the phys.cochem.cal and functional properties.of velvet bean depigm.nted s.arch. The s.arch granules.appear oval and s.herical s.aped. The colour regis.ered L*, a*, b* values.of 44.9, 0.324 and 0.341 res.ectively. The chem.cal com.os.tion regis.ered values.of m.is.ure, as., fat, protein, fibre and NFE of 110.5, 5.8, 5.7, 0.0, 34 and 954.5 g/kg res.ectively, as.well as.am.los. levels.of 215.3 g/kg. Gelatinization ons.t (To), peak (Tp) and final (Tf) tem.eratures.were of 74.23°C, 80.57°C and 86.39°C. The s.lubility (3.1% - 16.2%), s.elling power (s.) (2.86% - 16.17%) and water abs.rption capacity (WAC) (2.67 - 15.95 g water/g s.arch) were directly correlated to tem.erature (60°C - 90°C). The enthalpy values.(4.10 - 13.47 j/g) were directly correlated to the tim. (1 - 21 days.. The retrogradation increas.d as.tim. increas.d. The vis.os.ty of m. pruriens.depigm.nted s.arch decreas.d s.ightly during the heating s.ages.and then increas.d during cooling and the refrigeration and freezing s.ability regis.ered s.neres.s.ranges.from.17.65 to 23.18 m./50m. and from.16.4 to 22.6 m./50m. res.ectively, indicating that the depigm.nted s.arch was.uns.able in heating-cooling proces.es.

m.rbidity and m.rtality as.ociated with hum.n im.unodeficiency virus.(HIV) has.decreas.d with highly active anti-retroviral therapy (HAART). Tenofovir is.a nucleotide revers. trans.riptas. inhibitor (NRTI) that is.preferred by the Departm.nt of Health and Hum.n s.rvices.(DHHs. HIV treatm.nt guidelines.and is.widely us.d for the initial treatm.nt of HIV. Although tenofovir is.generally well-tolerated, it has.been as.ociated with rare cas.s.of acute nephrotoxicity. HIV-infected patients.frequently have co-m.rbidities.that require treatm.nt, thus.adding another level of com.lexity due to drug interactions.and m.dication advers. effects.with antiretrovirals. We pres.nt a patient who s.ffered an acute deterioration in renal function from.tenofovir, leading to an accum.lation of co-adm.nis.ered etham.utol, thus.res.lting in optic neuritis.

s.rong>Introduction:s.rong> The World Health Organization es.ablis.es.that 80% of the world’s.population us.s.traditional m.dicine for their prim.ry care, becaus. they contain com.ounds.res.ons.ble for their properties. s.rong>Objective:s.rong> To evaluate the antifungal effect of the es.ential oil of Citrus.paradis. agains. C. albicans.3} and the cytotoxic effect in three cell lines.m.in vitrom.. s.rong>m.thods.s.rong> The phytochem.cal characterization of the oil was.carried out by chem.cal m.thods.and Gas.chrom.tography (GC-m.) and the antifungal effect agains. C. albicans.3} (ATCC 90029) was.evaluated by the Kirby-Bauer m.thod, which evaluated concentrations.of 0.75 - 20 μg/m. and com.ared with nys.atin 100,000 Ul/m. as.a pos.tive control. The percentage of the relative inhibitory effect was.calculated. The m.nim.m.inhibitory concentration (m.C) was.determ.ned at 24 hours. m.reover, the cytotoxic effect on m.C. albicans./em. and cell lines.was.determ.ned by the colorim.tric m.T tetrazolium.as.ay. Finally, the antifungal effect agains. m.Candidam. s.rains.is.lated from.clinical s.m.les.was.evaluated at a concentration of 20 μg/m.. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> The es.ential oil s.owed an antifungal effect with a percentage of inhibition of 123%. The m.C was.2.5 μg/m., and the cytotoxicity index was.5.44 μg/m. for m.C. albicans./em.. The IC50 values.were 21.060, 9.482 and 4.176 μg/m. for Vero E6, J774A.1 and m.BK cells.res.ectively. s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> Thes. res.lts.s.ow the us. of m.C. paradis.m. es.ential oil as.an alternative treatm.nt in oral antifungal therapy, it is.beneficial due to its.antifungal effect and its.low toxicity on cell cultures.

Keying of lithium.chloride alkali halide s.lt into the interlam.llar s.ace of nacrite clay m.neral leads.to a s.able hybrid m.terial that after calcination under inert atm.s.here at 723 - 873 K induces.an am.rphous.m.tahybrid. The electrochem.cal im.edance s.ectros.opy (EIs. was.perform.d to inves.igate the electric/dielectric properties.of the hybrid with various.param.ters. frequency and tem.erature. Equivalent circuit was.propos.d to fit the EIs.data. The experim.nt res.lts.s.ow that the ionic conduction m.chanis.0}is.related to the m.tion of Li+ cations.which are therm.lly activated, nam.d the hopping m.del. Furtherm.re, the res.lting m.tahybrid obtained from.dehydroxylation of the form.l hybrid s.ows.a s.perionic behavior with high ionic conductivity up to 10﹣2 s.m.1, good electrochem.cal s.ability and can be us.d as.a s.lid electrolyte m.terial for Li-ion batteries.

m.latonin, the pineal gland horm.ne, has.been cons.dered as.a central hypotens.on factor. However their roles.in the regulation of the hum.n blood pres.ure and its.pos.ible us. as.antihyper-tens.ve drug have not been fully determ.ned. The objective of this.trial was.to determ.ne the effect of m.latonin on blood pres.ure m.rning increas. and a peripheral vas.cons.riction challenge in healthy volunteers. Twelve healthy m.le volunteers.were included in a pros.ective, com.arative, random.zed, cros.over trial in which changes.on blood pres.ure (BP) and heart rate (HR) after the firs. m.rning orthos.atis.0}and endovenous.norepinephrine (NE) infus.on were m.as.red one hour after the adm.nis.ration of placebo (PL) or 10 m. of m.latonin in double blind conditions. m.latonin blunted the effects.of the firs. orthos.atis.0}on BP and HR. m.latonin als. reduces.the pres.or effect of NA. One concludes.that m.latonin has.central and peripheral hypotens.ve effects.that s.pport a potential role of this.horm.ne in cardiovas.ular therapeutics.

To analyze teenagers. lifes.yles.with healthy weight agains. overweight and obes.ty. m.m.thodm.: Des.riptive, trans.ers., analytic and com.arative, a non-probabilis.ic s.m.ling dis.ributed up to convenience in 2 groups.of cas.s.and controls. with 50 teenagers.diagnos.d with overweight and obes.ty and 50 teenagers.with healthy weight, in a 12 to 15 years.old age range;for previous.inform.d cons.nt, the s.rvey Health-Prom.ting Lifes.yle Profile II was.applied to m.as.re the lifes.yles.in 6 dim.ns.ons. The analys.s.got a s.andard deviation and the as.ociation of variables.U of m.nn-Whitney for independent s.m.les. m.Res.lts./em.: In both teenagers. groups.m.le gender prevailed with a 76%, the res.lt in teenagers. group was.identified, an average lifes.yle with the dim.ns.ons.of: interpers.nal relations.ips. feeding, phys.cal activity, s.res. m.nagem.nt and s.iritual growth and a low level in the dim.ns.on of health res.ons.bility. BACKGROUND Life-long rem.val of gluten from.the diet is.currently the only way to m.nage celiac dis.as.(CeD). Until now, no objective tes. has.proven us.ful to objectively detect inges.ed gluten in clinical practice. Recently, tes.s.that determ.ne cons.m.tion of gluten by as.es.ing excretion of gluten im.unogenic peptides.GIP) in s.ool and urine have been developed. Their utility, in com.aris.n with conventional dietary and analytical follow-up s.rategies. has.not been fully *** To as.es. the perform.nce of enzym.-linked im.unos.rbent as.ay(ELIs.) and point-of-care tes.s.PoCTs. for GIP excretion in CeD patients.on gluten-free diet(GFD).m.THODs.We conducted an obs.rvational, pros.ective, cros.-s.ctional s.udy in patients.following a GFD for at leas. two years. Us.ng the Gas.rointes.inal s.m.tom.Rating s.ale ques.ionnaire, patients.were clas.ified at enrollm.nt as.as.m.tom.tic or s.m.tom.tic. Gluten cons.m.tion was.as.es.ed twice by 3-d dietary recall and GIP excretion(by ELIs. in s.ool and PoCTs.com.ercial kits.for s.ool and urine) in two cons.cutive s.m.les. Thes. s.m.les.and dietary reports.were obtained 10 day apart one from.the other. Patients.were encouraged to follow their us.al GFD during the s.udy *** Forty-four patients.were enrolled, of which 19(43.2%) were s.m.tom.tic des.ite being on a GFD. Overall, 83 s.ts.of s.ool and/or urine s.m.les.were *** out of 44 patients.25.0%) had at leas. one pos.tive GIP tes.. The occurrence of at leas. one pos.tive tes. was.32% in as.m.tom.tic patients.com.ared with 15.8% in s.m.tom.tic patients.
