SPECIFIC UP-REGULATION OF DNA POLYMERASE BY HUMAN PAPILLOMAVIRUS 16

Obje, etive To analyze how the infection of human papillomavirus 16 （ HPV16 ） affects expression of DNA poly- merase β（DNA polB） with the aim of probing the mechanism of over-expression of DNA polB in human cancers. Methods Four fragments of human DNA polB promoter were amplified and constructed into luciferase reporter vec- tor pGL-Basic, generating pGL-BP, pGL-BMH, pGL-BMS, and pGL-BAT constructs respectively, and co-transfected with HPV16 or HPV6 into Hep2 cells. Luciferase activity was assayed 48 hours after transfectiorL Semi-quantitative RT- PCR was used to measure mRNA expression of endogenous DNA polB. Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization were used to analyze DNA polB expression and HPV16 or HPV6 infection in 38 cases of cervical lesions respectively. Results With co-transfection of HPV16 and DNA polB promoter-driving reporters into Hep2 cells, pGL-BP re- porter in full-length DNA polB promoter presented markedly elevated luciferase activities （ P 〈 0.05 ）. However, the other three mutant reporters： pGL-BMH, pGL-BMS, and pGL-BAT, generated no reporting activities in the presence of HPV16 （P 〉0.05 ）. On the contrary, all of polB promoter reporters were little stimulated in co-transfection of HPV6 （P 〉0.05 ）. The transfection of HPV16 could enhance the endogenous polB mRNA expression compared with that of HPV6 （3.42 vs. 0.80, P 〈0.05）. The DNA polB expression was found in 8 of 10 HPV16-positive cervical intraepi- thelial neoplasia grade Ⅲ（ CIN Ⅲ） cases, while was only found in 3 of 11 HPV6-positive condyloma accuminatum cases, but was negative in all chronic cervicitis cases. The correlation of DNA polB expression with HPV16 infection in cervical lesions was significant （ P 〈0.05 ）. Conclusions HPV16 is able to specifically stimulate the expression of DNA polB in human epithelial cells through interaction with the core upstream regulatory sequences of DNA polB promoter. Temporal and Spatial Optimization for 5G Base Station Groups in Distribution Networks

With the large-scale connection of 5G base stations(BSs)to the distribution networks(DNs),5G BSs are utilized as flexible loads to participate in the peak load regulation,where the BSs can be divided into base station groups(BSGs)to real-ize inter-district energy transfer.A Stackelberg game-based opti-mization framework is proposed,where the distribution net-work operator(DNO)works as a leader with dynamic pricing for multi-BSGs;while BSGs serve as followers with the ability of demand response to adjust their charging and discharging strategies in temporal dimension and load migration strategy in spatial ***,the presence and uniqueness of the Stackelberg equilibrium(SE)are ***,differ-ential evolution is adopted to reach the SE and the optimization problem in multi-BSGs is decomposed to solve the time-space ***,through simulation of a practical system,the results show that the DNO operation profit is increased via cut-ting down the peak load and the operation costs for multi-BSGs are reduced,which reaches a win-win effect.

High-performance nickel metal hydride battery anode with enhanced durability and excellent low-temperature discharge capability

Current AB_(5)-type hydrogen storage alloys employed in nickel-metal hydride(NiMH)batteries exhibit exceptional low-temperature discharge performance but suffer from limited cycle life and insufficient high-temperature *** overcome these challenges,we introduce a hydrothermal synthesized LaF_(3)coating layer on the surface of the AB_(5)anode *** LaF_(3)coating layer adds a protective barrier for the active material,significantly improving the battery's cycle life and high-temperature *** findings indicate that(1)the LaF_(3)coated anode demonstrates an extended cycle life with increased specific capacity and a capacity retention of 88%after 40 cycles of abusive overcharging and rapid discharging at room temperature.(2)The synthesized anode exhibits a 97%recovery of its specific capacity of 292.7 mAh/g following 144 h of high-temperature storage.(3)The low-temperature discharge capacity of the synthesized anode remains on par with the pristine AB_(5)alloy at 230.4 mAh/g in a-40℃*** research presents a significant advancement in hydrogen storage alloy coatings and offers valuable insights for designing electrodes in NiMH batteries.

Rapid Simultaneous Determination of Four Ganoderic Acids in Ganoderma(Chinese Name:Lingzhi)by Direct Infusion-Multiple Reaction Monitoring Cubed

Attributing to the rapid demand expansion for the edible medicinal materials in the market,the limited throughput of highperformance liquid chromatography-multiple reaction monitoring(HPLC-MRM)cannot fully address the measurement workload for a huge number of testing ***,it is urgent to pursue more efficient approaches for the quality *** of the greater selectivity of MRM cubed(MRM^(3))over MRM,there might be a chance to omit the time-intensive LC *** current study,we attempted to develop a direct infusion(DI)-MRM^(3) program,and the applicability was thereafter assessed through simultaneous determination of four ganoderic acids(GAs)in one of the most famous tonic herbal medicines namely Ganoderma(Chinese name:Lingzhi).Primary parameters such as Q1>Q3>QLIT ion transitions,collision energy(CE),and excitation energy were optimized by programming online energy-resolved mass spectrometry with authentic compounds.A single DI-MRM measurement merely costed four minutes,and in spite of the wide occurrences of isomers,satisfactory selectivity was *** validation assays demonstrated the method to be sensitive,precise,accurate,and *** quantitative results from DI-MRM^(3) were also justified by conducting LC-MRM measurements in *** differences occurred for the content patterns between the two original sources namely Ganoderma lucidum and ***,and,moreover,either cultivar or harvest time showed dramatical influence on the quantitative features of the four targeted *** importantly,DI-MRM3 is a meaningful analytical option for rapid quantitative analysis of herbal medicines,because of the comparable reliability,nonetheless,less consumptions of both measurement time and solvent,compared with LC-MRM.

The integration of nanowires onto electrode surfaces marks a significant advancement over traditional electrode materials,conferring upon nanowire-modified electrodes a vast array of applications within electrochemical and electrophysical *** nanowires used for electrode modification can be catalogized into two distinct types:anchored nanowires and free-standing nanowires.A critical advantage of anchored nanowires lies in their enhanced electrical connectivity with the substrate,which reduces electrode resistance and facilitates charge ***,the anchorage of nanowires onto electrodes provides additional mechanical support,bolstering the structural stability of the nanowire ***,we review the development of anchored nanowires designed for applications in energy storage,electrocatalysis,and electric field treatment(EFT)over the past *** focus on the synthesis and modification strategies employed for anchored nanowires,culminating in the evaluation of these fabrication and enhancement *** this analysis,we aim to furnish comprehensive insights into the preparation of anchored nanowires,guiding the selection of appropriate fabrication processes and subsequent functional modifications.

Solid strong base catalysts have received considerable attention in various organic reactions due to their facile separation,neglectable corrosion,and environmental *** great progress has been made in the preparation of solid strong base catalysts,it is still challenging to avoid basic sites aggregation on support and active sites loss in reaction ***,we report a tandem redox strategy to prepare Na single atoms on graphene,producing a new kind of solid strong base catalyst(Na1/G).The base precursor NaNO_(3)was first reduced to Na2O by graphene(400℃)and successively to single atoms Na anchored on the graphene vacancies(800℃).Owing to the atomically dispersed of basicity,the resultant catalyst presents high activity toward the transesterification of methanol and ethylene carbonate to synthesize dimethyl carbonate(turnover frequency(TOF)value:125.7 h^(−1)),which is much better than the conventional counterpart Na2O/G and various reported solid strong bases(TOF:1.0-90.1 h^(−1)).Furthermore,thanks to the basicity anchored on graphene,the Na1/G catalyst shows excellent durability during *** work may provide a new direction for the development of solid strong base catalysts.

Prediction of bedload transport inside vegetation canopies with natural morphology

Due to vegetation drag and vegetation-generated turbulence,bedload transport in vegetated channels is more complicated than that in nonvegetated *** is challenging to obtain accurate predictions of bedload transport in vegetated *** studies generally used rigid circular cylinders to simulate vegetation,and the impact of plant morphology on bedload transport was typically ignored;these methods deviate from natural scenarios,resulting in prediction errors in transport rates of more than an order of *** study measured bedload transport rates inside ***,*** and *** canopies and in arrays of rigid cylinders for *** impact of plant morphology on bedload transport in vegetated channels was *** the canopies of natural morphology,the primary factor driving bedload transport is the near-bed turbulent kinetic energy(TKE),which consists of both bed-generated and vegetation-generated turbulence.A method was proposed to predict the near-bed TKE inside canopies with natural *** the same solid volume fraction of plants,the transport rate inside canopies with a natural morphology is greater than or equal to that within an array of rigid cylinders,depending on the plant *** finding indicates that plant morphology has a significant impact on transport rates in vegetated regions and cannot be ignored,which is typical in *** classic bedload transport equations(the Meyer-Peter-Müller,Einstein,Engelund and Dou equations),which are suitable for bare channels(no vegetation),were modified in terms of the near-bed *** predicted near-bed TKE was inserted into these four equations to predict the transport rate in canopies with natural morphology.A comparison of the predictions indicated that the Meyer-Peter-Müller equation had the highest accuracy in predicting the transport rate in vegetated landscapes.

Efficient cache replacement framework based on access hotness for spacecraft processors

A notable portion of cachelines in real-world workloads exhibits inner non-uniform access ***,modern cache management rarely considers this fine-grained feature,which impacts the effective cache capacity of contemporary high-performance spacecraft *** harness these non-uniform access behaviors,an efficient cache replacement framework featuring an auxiliary cache specifically designed to retain evicted hot data was *** framework reconstructs the cache replacement policy,facilitating data migration between the main cache and the auxiliary *** traditional cacheline-granularity policies,the approach excels at identifying and evicting infrequently used data,thereby optimizing cache *** evaluation shows impressive performance improvement,especially on workloads with irregular access *** from fine granularity,the proposal achieves superior storage efficiency compared with commonly used cache management schemes,providing a potential optimization opportunity for modern resource-constrained processors,such as spacecraft ***,the framework complements existing modern cache replacement policies and can be seamlessly integrated with minimal modifications,enhancing their overall efficacy.
