Alzheimer's disease is characterized by deposition of amyloid-β,which forms extracellular neuritic plaques,and accumulation of hyperphosphorylated tau,which aggregates to form intraneuronal neurofibrillary tangles,in the *** NLRP3 inflammasome may play a role in the transition from amyloid-βdeposition to tau phosphorylation and *** NLRP3 is primarily found in brain microglia,and tau is predominantly located in neurons,it has been suggested that NLRP3 expressed by microglia indirectly triggers tau phosphorylation by upregulating the expression of pro-inflammatory ***,we found that neurons also express NLRP3 in vitro and in vivo,and that neuronal NLRP3 regulates tau *** biochemical methods,we mapped the minimal NLRP3 promoter and identified FUBP3 as a transcription factor regulating NLRP3 expression in *** primary neurons and the neuroblastoma cell line Neuro2A,FUBP3 is required for endogenous NLRP3 expression and tau phosphorylation only when amyloid-βis *** the brains of aged wild-type mice and a mouse model of Alzheimer's disease,FUBP3 expression was markedly increased in cortical *** analysis suggested that FUBP3 plays a role in neuron-mediated immune *** also found that FUBP3 trimmed the 5′end of DNA fragments that it bound,implying that FUBP3 functions in stress-induced *** findings suggest that neuronal NLRP3 may be more directly involved in the amyloid-β-to–phospho-tau transition than microglial NLRP3,and that amyloid-βfundamentally alters the regulatory mechanism of NLRP3 expression in *** that FUBP3 was only expressed at low levels in young wild-type mice and was strongly upregulated in the brains of aged mice and Alzheimer's disease mice,FUBP3 could be a safe therapeutic target for preventing Alzheimer's disease progression.

Depleting fossil energy sources and conventional polluting power generation pose a threat to sustainable *** generation from ubiquitous and spontaneous phase transitions between liquid and gaseous water has been considered a promising strategy for mitigating the energy *** materials with unique flexibility,processability,multifunctionality,and practicability have been widely applied for fibrous materials-based hydroelectricity generation(FHG).In this review,the power generation mechanisms,design principles,and electricity enhancement factors of FHG are first ***,the fabrication strategies and characteristics of varied constructions including 1D fiber,1D yarn,2D fabric,2D membrane,3D fibrous framework,and 3D fibrous gel are ***,the advanced functions of FHG during water harvesting,proton dissociation,ion separation,and charge accumulation processes are analyzed in ***,the potential applications including power supply,energy storage,electrical sensor,and information expression are also ***,some existing challenges are considered and prospects for future development are sincerely proposed.

Investigations of an enclosed annular rotor-stator system with LES method

In this study, the flows in an enclosed annular rotor-stator system with the Reynolds number ranging from 0.75×105 to 3.75×105 and an aspect ratio of 36.5 are investigated using the LES method. Few studies have explored such a rotor-stator system with this aspect ratio and the flow structure on the rotor side. The mean flow structure varies from a torsional Couette type to a Batchelor type as the Reynolds number increases. The onset of the instability in the B?dewadt layer adjacent to the stator is delayed,whereas it is promoted in the Ekman layer adjacent to the rotor. Both the layers demonstrate rich spiral structures. Turbulent spirals are observed to occur at the rotor disk side that also generates TS-wave-like(Tollmien-Schlichting) structures between adjacent spiral arms. Further, the turbulence at the stator is complex and interesting. Statistically, the turbulence is highly anisotropic near both the rotating and nonrotating disks, which is depicted by the Reynolds stresses.

The detection of GW170817 and its electromagnetic counterpart has revealed the speed of gravitational waves coincides with the speed of light, cT= 1. Inspired by the possibility that the physics implied by GW170817 might be related with that for the primordial universe, we construct the spatially ?at stable(throughout the whole evolution)nonsingular bounce models in the beyond Horndeski theory with cT= 1 and in the degenerate higher-order scalar-tensor(DHOST) theory with cT= 1, respectively. Though it constricts the space of viable models, the constraint of cT= 1 makes the procedure of building models simpler.

RF power amplifiers （PAs） are usually considered as memoryless devices in most existing predistortion techniques. However, in broadband communication systems, such as WCDMA, the PA memory effects are significant, and memoryless predistortion cannot linearize the PAs effectively. After analyzing the PA memory effects, a novel predistortion method based on the simplified Volterra series is proposed to linearize broadband RF PAs with memory effects. The indirect learning architecture is adopted to design the predistortion scheme and the reeursive least squares algorithm with forgetting factor is applied to identify the parameters of the predistorter. Simulation results show that the proposed predistortion method can compensate the nonlinear distortion and memory effects of broadband RF PAs effectively.

Seru Scheduling Problems with Multiple Due-Windows Assignment and Learning Effect

This paper deals with seru scheduling problems with multiple due windows assignment and DeJong’s learning *** time intervals are assigned to jobs with multiple due windows and learning effect is introduced to characterize the decrease of processing times with the accumulation of the working *** assume that the set of jobs assigned to each due window is independent,and no inclusion exists between due *** objective is to determine the optimal due window positions and sizes,the set of jobs assigned to each due window,and the optimal schedule in each seru to minimize a multidimensional function,which consists of the earliness and tardiness punishment cost,as well as the due window related starting time and size *** find that when the number of jobs and the due windows assigned to each seru are pre-specified in advance,the problem can be solved in polynomial ***,the impacts of the due-window allocation strategy and learning effect on the total cost are respectively discussed based on numerical examples and special *** results show that if each seru is assigned with the same number of due windows,the total cost can be reduced with the increasing ratio of the due-window number to the to-be-processed job ***,with an increasing learning effect,the total cost will be decreased.
