Unprecedented divergent synthesis of gem-difluorovinylacetic acid and glutaric acid derivatives fromα-CF_(3)alkenes with formate as the carbonyl source was disclosed.The reaction can undergo selective mono-or triple C-F bond cleavage by simply switching the photocatalyst and hydrogen atom transfer(HAT)catalyst under visible-light-induced conditions at room temperature.Foramte acts as both the C1 source and the reductant through the generation of CO_(2)^(·-)species,which underwent Giese radical addition to electron-deficient alkenes to trigger the consecutive C-F bond cleavage and carboxylation process.

In this paper, a unified control framework is proposed to investigate the multicase finite-time stabilization of stochastic delayed memristor neural networks(SDMNNs). With this framework, stochastic finite-time stabilization(SFTS), stochastic fixed-time stabilization(SFXTS), and stochastic prescribed-time stabilization(SPTS) of SDMNNs are achieved. Subsequently, unlike existing results, a bridge between the proportional-integral(PI) control protocol and the SDMNN is established, allowing the system to perform SFTS/SFXTS/SPTS without a separately designed controller. By appropriately adjusting the control factors of the unified framework, appropriate time of settlement estimates is derived. Furthermore, the controller is improved to the appropriate adaptive controller using the PI control protocol. The SFTS/SFXTS/SPTS of the system are obtained, and the corresponding upper bounds for the estimation of the settling time functions are acquired. Finally, the feasibility of the obtained theoretical results is demonstrated by two examples.

The subsurface of urban cities is becoming increasingly congested.In-time records of subsur-face structures are of vital importance for the maintenance and management of urban infrastructure beneath or above the ground.Ground-penetrating radar(GPR)is a nondestructive testing method that can survey and image the subsurface without excava-tion.However,the interpretation of GPR relies on the operator’s experience.An automatic workflow was proposed for recognizing and classifying subsurface structures with GPR using computer vision and machine learning techniques.The workflow comprises three stages:first,full-cover GPR measurements are processed to form the C-scans;second,the abnormal areas are extracted from the full-cover C-scans with coefficient of variation-active contour model(CV-ACM);finally,the extracted segments are recognized and classified from the corresponding B-scans with aggregate channel feature(ACF)to produce a semantic map.The selected computer vision methods were validated by a controlled test in the laboratory,and the entire workflow was evaluated with a real,on-site case study.The results of the controlled and on-site case were both promising.This study establishes the necessity of a full-cover 3D GPR survey,illustrating the feasibility of integrating advanced computer vision techniques to analyze a large amount of 3D GPR survey data,and paves the way for automating subsurface modeling with GPR.

Pathological vascular remodeling is a hallmark of various vascular diseases.Previous research has established the significance of andrographolide in maintaining gastric vascular homeostasis and its pivotal role in modulating endothelial barrier dysfunction,which leads to pathological vascular remodeling.Potassium dehydroandrographolide succinate(PDA),a derivative of andrographolide,has been clinically utilized in the treatment of inflammatory diseases precipitated by viral infections.This study investigates the potential of PDA in regulating pathological vascular remodeling.The effect of PDA on vascular remodeling was assessed through the complete ligation of the carotid artery in C57BL/6 mice.Experimental approaches,including rat aortic primary smooth muscle cell culture,flow cytometry,bromodeoxyuridine(BrdU)incorporation assay,Boyden chamber cell migration assay,spheroid sprouting assay,and Matrigel-based tube formation assay,were employed to evaluate the influence of PDA on the proliferation and motility of smooth muscle cells(SMCs).Molecular docking simulations and co-immunoprecipitation assays were conducted to examine protein interactions.The results revealed that PDA exacerbates vascular injury-induced pathological remodeling,as evidenced by enhanced neointima formation.PDA treatment significantly increased the proliferation and migration of SMCs.Further mechanistic studies disclosed that PDA upregulated myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88)expression in SMCs and interacted with T-cadherin(CDH13).This interaction augmented proliferation,migration,and extracellular matrix deposition,culminating in pathological vascular remodeling.Our findings underscore the critical role of PDA in the regulation of pathological vascular remodeling,mediated through the MyD88/CDH13 signaling pathway.

Brake systems are essential for the speed regulation or braking of a high-speed train.The vehicle dynamic performance under braking condition is complex and directly affects the reliability and running safety.To reveal the vehicle dynamic behaviour in braking process,a comprehensive trailer car dynamics model(TCDM)considering brake systems is established in this paper.The dynamic interactions between the brake system and the other connected components are achieved using the brake disc-pad frictions,brake suspension systems,and wheel-rail interactions.The force and motion transmission from the brake system to the wheel-rail interface is performed by the proposed TCDM excited by track irregularity.In addition,the validity of TCDM is verified by experimental test results.On this basis,the dynamic behaviour of the coupled system is simulated and discussed.The findings indicate that the braking force significantly affects vehicle dynamic behaviour including the wheel-rail forces,suspension forces,wheelset torsional vibration,etc.The dynamic interactions within the brake system are also significantly affected by the vehicle vibration due to track irregularity.Besides,the developed TCDM can be further employed to the dynamic assessment of such a coupled mechanical system under different braking conditions.

In this work,we present a reconfigurable data glove design to capture different modes of human hand-object interactions,which are critical in training embodied artificial intelligence(AI)agents for fine manipulation tasks.To achieve various downstream tasks with distinct features,our reconfigurable data glove operates in three modes sharing a unified backbone design that reconstructs hand gestures in real time.In the tactile-sensing mode,the glove system aggregates manipulation force via customized force sensors made from a soft and thin piezoresistive material;this design minimizes interference during complex hand movements.The virtual reality(VR)mode enables real-time interaction in a physically plausible fashion:A caging-based approach is devised to determine stable grasps by detecting collision events.Leveraging a state-of-the-art finite element method,the simulation mode collects data on fine-grained four-dimensionalmanipulation events comprising hand and object motions in three-dimensional space and how the object's physical properties(e.g.,stress and energy)change in accordance with manipulation over time.Notably,the glove system presented here is the first to use high-fidelity simulation to investigate the unobservable physical and causal factors behind manipulation actions.In a series of experiments,we characterize our data glove in terms of individual sensors and the overall system.More specifically,we evaluate the system's three modes by①recording hand gestures and associated forces,②improving manipulation fluency in VR,and③producing realistic simulation effects of various tool uses,respectively.Based on these three modes,our reconfigurable data glove collects and reconstructs fine-grained human grasp data in both physical and virtual environments,thereby opening up new avenues for the learning of manipulation skills for embodied AI agents.

The existing genetic models of the South China Sea(SCS)include an extrusion model of the Indochina Peninsula,a back-arc extension model,and a subduction and dragging model of the Proto-South China Sea(PSCS).However,none of these models has been universally accepted because they do not fully match a large number of geological phenomena and facts.By examining the regional tectonics and integrating them with measured data for the SCS,in this study,a back-arc spreading-sinistral shear model is proposed.It is suggested that the SCS is a back-arc basin formed by northward subduction of the PSCS and its formation was triggered by left-lateral strike-slip motion due to the northward drift of the Philippine Sea Plate.The left-lateral strike-slip fault on the western margin caused by the Indo-Eurasian collision changed the direction of the Southwest Sub-basin's spreading axis from nearly E–W to NE–SW,and subduction retreat caused the spreading ridge to jump southward.This study summarizes the evolution of the SCS and adjacent regions since the Late Mesozoic.

The release of the generative pre-trained transformer(GPT)series has brought artificial general intelligence(AGI)to the forefront of the artificial intelligence(AI)field once again.However,the questions of how to define and evaluate AGI remain unclear.This perspective article proposes that the evaluation of AGI should be rooted in dynamic embodied physical and social interactions(DEPSI).More specifically,we propose five critical characteristics to be considered as AGI benchmarks and suggest the Tong test as an AGI evaluation system.The Tong test describes a value-and ability-oriented testing system that delineates five levels of AGI milestones through a virtual environment with DEPSI,allowing for infinite task generation.We contrast the Tong test with classical AI testing systems in terms of various aspects and propose a systematic evaluation system to promote standardized,quantitative,and objective benchmarks and evaluation of AGI.

通过添加不同比例乳清分离蛋白(WPI)制备烘焙预拌粉,研究WPI对预拌粉糊化和流变性质的影响。并进一步将预拌粉制成马芬蛋糕和曲奇饼干,研究其消化、质构及感官性质。结果表明,WPI的添加降低了烘焙预拌粉的峰值黏度、最终黏度、回生值和衰减值。随着WPI的增加,最终黏度从1038.00 cP降低至417.67 cP,回生值从495.00 cP降低至230.67 cP。随着WPI的添加,预拌粉凝胶的储能模量(G)和损耗模量(G)增加,并使预拌粉的黏性特征增加程度更高。添加WPI烘焙成品中快消化淀粉(RDS)含量显著降低,而抗性淀粉(RS)含量显著上升,WPI的加入抑制了淀粉的消化。并且,WPI对马芬蛋糕消化性的抑制作用高于曲奇饼干。随着WPI的添加,马芬蛋糕的硬度增大,而曲奇饼干则变得更脆。
