Prochlorococcus is a marine cyanobacterium of global *** ecotypes are adapted to either high-light(HL) or low-light (LL) *** ratio between chlorophyll(Chl) a and b is a distinguishing characteristic of these two ***,how this ratio evolved in Prochlorococcus during this ecotype differentiation remains *** analyses reveal that the ancestor of Prochlorococcus was typically low-light *** LL ecotype showed a stagnant evolution,and the HL ecotype was recently *** was an adaptive radiation after directional evolution in the Chl bla ratio *** in chlorophyllide a oxygenase(CAO) and positive selection on Clp protease contributed to the directional evolution of *** recombinant fragments of CAO were correlated with a large group of shared coevolving *** of positive selection was found in both subunits of *** bla ratio evolution,as annotated by molecular evidence,appears to be among the crucial reasons that explain how Prochlorococcus has become the dominant photosynthetic organism in the ocean.

Ulva pertusa is a native species to Asia along the western coast of Pacific Ocean,with new occurrence records in the eastern coast of Pacific,the northwest coast of Atlantic and the Mediterranean ***,little is known about its population genetic *** this study,twelve *** populations from 3 coastal areas of china:qingdao,yantai and Dalian,were applied to ISSR *** selected 4 ISSR primers amplified 120 polymorphic bands ***'s gene diversity (H) ranged from 0.0729 to 0.1496,and Shannon's information index (I) ranged from 0.1072 to *** diversity was greater within qingdao populations (H=0.2069,I=0.3232).Analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed the greatest variance within populations (68.57%),much less variance among populations (22.63%) and among areas (8.79%).Unweighted pair-group mean analysis (UPGMA) indicated that clustering of *** individuals mainly relates to their populations and geographic distances separating those *** differentiation and limited gene flow among *** populations were indicated by ISSR analysis.

One new isobenzofuranone derivative, 1,4-dimethoxy-3-（3R＊-hydroxy-3R＊-methyl-1-tetralone）-1 （3H）-isobenzofuran （1）, was isolated from the broth of marine Streptomyces sp. M268. The structure was elucidated by spectroscopy characteristics as well as comparison with the literature. Compound 1 exhibited cytotoxicities against human cancer cell, HL-60, A549, and bEL-7402.

Stable isotope techniques have been proved useful as tools for studying the carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) biogeochemical cycles of ecosystem. This paper firstly introduced the basic principles and the distribution characteristics of stable isotope, then reviewed the recent advances and applications of stable isotope in the C and N biogeochemical cycles of ecosystem. by applying the 13 C natural abundance technique, ecologists are able to understand the photosynthetic path and CO 2 fixation of plants, the CO 2 exchange and C balance status of ecosystem, the composition, distribution and turnover of soil organic C and the sources of organic matter in food webs, while by using the 13 C labeled technique, the effects of elevated CO 2 on the C processes of ecosystem and the sources and fate of organic matter in ecosystem can be revealed in detail. Differently, by applying the 15 N natural abundance technique, ecologists are able to analyze the biological N 2 -fixation, the N sources of ecosystem, the N transformation processes of ecosystem and the N trophic status in food webs, while by using the 15 N labeled technique, the sources, transformation and fate of N in ecosystem and the effects of N input on the ecosystem can be investigated in depth. The applications of both C and N isotope natural abundance and labeled techniques, combined with the elemental, other isotope ( 34 S) and molecular biomarker information, will be more propitious to the investigation of C and N cycle mechanisms. Finally, this paper concluded the problems existed in current researches, and put forward the perspective of stable isotope techniques in the studies on C and N biogeochemical cycles of ecosystem in the future.
