BACKGROUND Studies have suggested that atrial fibrillation(AF)in patients with rheumatic diseases(RD)may be due to *** morbidity and mortality associated with AF in hospitalized patients with *** The National inpatient sample database from October 2015 to December 2017 was analyzed to identify hospitalized patients with RD with and without AF.A subgroup analysis was performed comparing outcomes of AF among different *** The prevalence of AF was 23.9%among all patients with RD(n=3949203).Among the RD subgroup,the prevalence of AF was highest in polymyalgia rheumatica(33.2%),gout(30.2%),and pseudogout(27.1%).After adjusting for comorbidities,the odds of having AF were increased with gout(1.25),vasculitis(1.19),polymyalgia rheumatica(1.15),dermatopolymyositis(1.14),psoriatic arthropathy(1.12),lupus(1.09),rheumatoid arthritis(1.05)and pseudogout(1.04).In contrast,enteropathic arthropathy(0.44),scleroderma(0.96),ankylosing spondylitis(0.96),and Sjorgen’s syndrome(0.94)had a decreased association of *** mortality,length of stay,and hospitalization costs were higher in patients with RD having AF vs without *** the RD subgroup,the highest mortality was found with scleroderma(4.8%),followed by vasculitis(4%)and dermatopolymyositis(3.5%).CONCLUSION A highest association of AF was found with gout followed by vasculitis,and polymyalgia rheumatica when compared to other *** was two-fold higher in patients with RD with AF.

Pomegranate rind is abundantly available as a waste material. Pomegranate Rind Extract (PRE) can be applied to cotton fabrics for its natural colours, as a mordanting agent and also for imparting certain functional properties such as fire retardancy and antimicrobial properties. This paper reviews the feasibility of Pomegranate Rind Extract to improve the functional properties of cellulosic fabrics. Studies show that varying concentrations and higher temperatures that were used to apply the extract on the fabric, resulted in enhanced functional properties. At a particular concentration, the treated fabric showed a 15 times lower burning rate in comparison with the control fabric. Also, antimicrobial efficacy has been observed against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Due to the natural colouring material, it can be used as a natural dye on cotton material. The fire retardancy of pomegranate rind extract was tested on jute material under varying alkalinity. Research has indicated that pomegranate rind extract could be used to dye polyamide as well. The rubbing and wash fastness of the finished fabrics is good. The light fastness was fair, and its antibacterial efficiency against tested bacteria was good.

Designing broadband fiber optic parametric amplifier based on near-zero single ZDW PCF with ultra-flat nature

We propose a broadband fiber optic parametric amplifier（FOPA） based on a near-zero ultra-flat dispersion profile with a single zero-dispersion wavelength（ZDW） by using a selective liquid infiltration *** amplifier gain and bandwidth is investigated for a variety of fiber lengths, pump power, and operating wavelengths. It is observed that sufficient peak gains and broader bandwidths can be achieved with a small negative anomalous dispersion（β2≤ 0） and a positive value of the 4th-order dispersion parameter（t β4）around the pump. We can optimize an FOPA with a bandwidth of more than 220 nm around the communications wavelength.

目的癌细胞通常表现出升高的糖酵解活性,即沃尔堡效应。这种现象是由于线粒体功能障碍导致的缺氧所引起,进而导致癌细胞对治疗的抵抗性增强。细胞外基质可通过细胞机械信号转导影响线粒体形态和功能。因此,合成细胞外支架可通过改变细胞机械信号参与到线粒体的调控中,而作为一种治疗干预手段。然而,目前对于合成细胞外支架在这方面的影响和作用仍未被充分探究。方法采用整合素诱导多肽原位组装的方法,引入合成细胞外支架,与癌细胞之间建立密切的相互作用,并动态地调控线粒体网络的裂分-融合动力学。结果和结论实验证实,基于合成细胞外支架的干预手段通过改变细胞骨架结构,不仅能够抑制癌细胞的迁移能力,还能够阻碍癌细胞内线粒体的裂分和糖酵解活性。通过这种创新的治疗策略,有望克服癌细胞的抗药性问题,提高治疗的效果。这一发现为癌症研究和治疗提供了新的方向,有望推动抗癌治疗的进一步发展和改善。

Study of obliquely propagating electron acoustic shock waves with non-extensive electron population

Obliquely propagating electron acoustic shock waves in magnetized plasma composed of stationary ions, cold and non-extensive hot electrons are investigated by deriving Korteweg–de Vries Burgers(KdVB) equation. The tangent hyperbolic method is used to solve the KdVB equation in dissipative medium. The dissipation effect is introduced in the model by means of kinematic viscosity term. The analytical calculations of the KdVB equation shows that the structures(amplitude, velocity and width) of the shock waves are modified significantly with kinematic viscosity(η_0), obliqueness(k_z) and magnetic field(ω_c). Since plasmas are ubiquitously permeated with magnetic field, it is pertinent to explore the characteristics of KdVB equation in a magnetized plasmas.

Network approach to understanding the organization of and the consequence of targeted leader removal on an end-oriented task

Relocation is an important event in the lives of several social insects whereby all colony members have to be transferred to a new nest when conditions in the old nest become unfavorable. In the current study, network tools were used to examine the organization of this goal-oriented task in the Indian queenless ant Diacamma indicum Which relocate their colonies by means of tandem running. Individual ants were used as nodes and tandem runs as directed edges to construct unweighted networks. Network parameters were characterized in control relocations （CRs） and in relocations where the node with the highest outdegree, that is, the Maximum tandem leader （Max TL） was experimentally removed. These were then compared to 1） randomized networks, 2） simu- lated networks in which Max TL was removed, and 3） simulated networks with removal of a random leader. Not only was there complete recovery of the task, but the manner in which it was organized when Max TL was removed was comparable to CRs. The results obtained from our empirical study were significantly different from the results predicted by simulations of leader removal. At an individual level, the Max TL had a significantly higher outdegree than expected by chance alone and in her absence the substitute Max TL did comparable work. In addition, the position of the Max TL in the pathway of information flow was conserved in control and experimentally manipulated conditions. Understanding the organization of this critical event as more than the sum of individual interactions using network parameters allows us to appreciate the dynamic response of groups to perturbations.

A peripherally inserted central catheter（PICC）is extensively used in a critical care setting as it plays a vital role in providing safe central venous ***,it is associated with several complications,which should be detected for several important purposes for instance for reducing patient’s improvement duration,reducing health care cost and declining incidences of various complications associated with ***,this study aims to contribute in outlining the current standard guidelines and literature concerning,PICC-related complication and measures to prevent these complications with evidence based nursing in its *** databases（CINAHL,PubMed,VIP,CNKI,Cochrane,Embase and Google Scholar）were searched between 2006 and 2017 using search terms,namely,complication,critical care,critically ill,ICU,PICC and prevention.A manual search of the reference lists of found papers were *** spite of the expected benefits of PICC,several factors are influencing the nurses in providing the care of the patient in clinical *** the evidence-based guidelines regarding insertion technique,early detection of complication and care bundle on PICC is significant in complication *** of education,training and appropriate multidisciplinary approaches on PICC care among health care providers is the key to prevent ***,the strict care of indwelling PICC lines,the targeted and reasonable PICC associated complication prevention and nursing care has a major clinical significance in reducing the occurrence of potential PICC complications.
