Advanced energy and sensor devices with novel applications(e.g.,mobile equipment,electric vehicles,and medical-healthcare systems)are one of the important foundations of modern intelligent ***,there are still some scientific issues that seriously hinder the further development of devices,including unsustainability,high material cost,complex fabrication process,safety issues,and unsatisfactory *** has aroused tremendous attention in recent decades,because of its abundant resources,renewability,degradability,low-cost,and unique physical/chemical *** merits make nanocellulose as matrix materials to fabricate advanced functional composites for use in energy-related fields extremely ***,we comprehensively discuss the recent progress of nanocellulose for emerging energy storage/harvesting and sensor *** preparation methodologies of nanocellulose combined with conductive materials are firstly highlighted,including carbon materials,conductive polymers,metal/metal oxide nanoparticles,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),and covalent organic frameworks(COFs).We then focus on the nanocellulose-based advanced materials for the application in the areas of supercapacitors,lithium-ion batteries,solar cells,triboelectric nanogenerators,moisture-enabled electric generators,and ***,the future research directions of nanocellulose-based functional materials in energy-related devices are presented.

In this work,shape-stabilized solid-solid phase change materials(PCMs)were fabricated by simply electrospinning polyethylene glycol(PEG)and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA).Owing to the strong hydrogen bonds and entanglement between those molecular chains of PEG and PVA,PEG was packaged by *** morphological structures,thermal stability and thermal energy storage properties of those fibers were *** results showed that those electrospun PVA/PEG composite membranes hold a three-dimensional nonwoven web structure even the content of PEG as high as 70%.The thermal energy storage ability of those composite fibers increased with the increase of the content of *** heat enthalpies of PEG/PVA=7/3 were as high as 78.806 J/***,those composite fibers had excellent thermal *** 100 heating and cooling cycles,there was almost no obvious change in the melting enthalpy and crystallization *** fibers still maintained good thermal *** simple preparation process,low cost of raw materials and excellent stability endow the PCMs great utilization potentiality in smart textile and energy storage systems.

Researching and Development of Cotton/kapok Blended Yarn Fabric Used in Thermal Underwear and Studying of End-use Performance

Nowadays, more and more natural or functional fibres are being investigated due to theirutilization in thermal underwear. Kapok fibre is one of the natural cellulosic fibres whose sourceis kapok plant. It has hollow body and sealed tail, which exhibits desirable features required forfunctional textiles of this nature. In this study, cotton/kapok (80/20) blended yarns with twotypes of yarn size18.5Tex and14.8Tex, respectively are knitted into plain stitches. The fabricsare undergone with an optimal preparation plan according to orthogonal design. Then, afterdyeing and softening, fabric properties including thermal and water-vapour resistances, wickingproperty, pilling behaviour, color fastness and surface morphology, are tested and scrutinized fortheir candidacy for thermal underwear. The results showed that cotton/kapok blended fabricshave good thermal resistance which is significantly higher than that of cotton/modal blendedfabrics, and have same water vapour resistance compared with cotton/modal blended fabricswhich are normally used as underwear. Cotton/modal blended knitted fabrics have better pillinggrade than cotton/kapok blended fabrics. Consequently, cotton/kapok blend fabrics illustratebetter rubbing fastness for drier than wet well as very good washing fastness. Meanwhile, thecotton/kapok blends fabrics have good wicking properties. Collectively, it was found thatcotton/kapok blended fabrics are appropriate for thermal underwear. However, the mainlimitation of these fabrics are their pilling properties.

Copper Ores in Mawat Ophiolite Complex (Part of ZSZ) NE Iraq

Ore microscopy study for some samples from Mawat complex NE Iraq (part of Zagros Suture Zone) showed the presence of copper ore minerals was irregularly distributed, mainly throughout the basic rocks of Mawat Ophiolite Complex. The main sulfides minerals identified were: chalcopyrite, pyrite, bornite, chalcocite and covellite. Iron hydroxides/oxides including goethite and magnetite were also observed associated with sulfide ore. Chalcopyrite and pyrite were the main primary minerals from which other ores were formed. They were originated at the orthomagmatic stage, and also deposited from aqueous solution of final stage in the consolidation of a magma forming vein textures which was observed in many samples. Two types of pyrite generations were recognized. They were pre-tectonic pyrite and post-tectonic pyrite. The secondary recognized ore textures were rim, pseudo morph, zoning, relicts, atoll and vein replacement textures. Secondary textures resulting from exsolution were also presented. Three stages of mineralization could be concluded: orthomagmatic stage (Earliest), the hydrothermal activations stage (Hypogene) and the weathering stage (Supergene). Paragenaticaly, the primary copper sulfides including chalcopyrite and bornite were responsible for other copper ores formation. These minerals were observed disseminated throughout the host mafic rocks which were considered as endogenic deposits (magmatic and hypogene origin) and they were modified as small patches of chalcocite and covellite.
