We investigate a short-period W UMa binary KIC 9026766 with an orbital period of 0.2721278 d in the Kepler field of *** applying an automated q-search for the folded light curve and producing a synthetic light curve for this object based on the PHOEBE code,we calculate the fundamental stellar *** also analyze the O-C curve of the primary *** orbital period changes can be attributed to the combination of an upward quadratic function and light-travel time effect(LTTE)due to a possible third body with a minimum mass of 0.029 M☉and an orbital period of 972.5866±0.0041 *** relative luminosity of the primary and secondary eclipses(MinⅠ-MinⅡ)is *** periodogram of the residuals of the LTTE and MinⅠ-MinⅡshow peaks with the same period of 0.8566 *** background effect of two nearby stars on our target is the possible reason for this *** considering the amplitudes and periods of the remaining signals in the O-C curve of minima,spot motion is possible.

In order to study the effects of different land vegetative covers on soil quality attributes, a loess hill slope was selected in eastern Golestan Province, Ghapan watershed, Iran. Four profiles in four land uses, including Quercus natural forest; Pinus artificial forest; Cupressus artificial forest and a cultivated land, were studied. Results showed that MWD was significantly different in the studied land uses, and it varied between 1.6 mm in Quercus natural forest and o.31 mm in cultivated land use. The lowest CEC, microbial respiration rate and organic carbon were 28.4 cmol·kg^1, 177 μgCO2·g^-1·day^-1 and 1.32 % found in cultivated land use, respectively. The organic matter was considerably higher content in the forest areas than that of cultivated land use. The studies on soil profile development revealed that the natural forest soils were highly developed. The soils of the Quercus natural forest were classified as Calcic Haploxeralfs with a well developed argillie horizon unlike the cultivated soils which showed the minimum development and classified as Typic Xerorthents. The soils of the artificial forests had both mollic epipedons and were classified as Typic Calcixerolls with moderate profile development. Micromorphological studies revealed that argillic horizons had speckled and partly crystallitic b-fabric in the natural forest indicating the high landscape stability. In contrast, the crystallitic b-fabric of other land uses shows the absence of enough leaching of carbonate and the subsequent migration of clay particles indicating the unstable conditions and high soil erosion. Intense erosion of the surface horizons of cultivated land use has resulted in the outcropping of the subsurface carbonate rich horizons preventing soil development.

A simple, green, and efficient method for the N-tert-butoxycarbonylation of amines by pyridinium 2,2,2- trifluoroacetate （[Py][OTf]） as an efficient and reusable catalyst is reported. In general, electron donating groups on aryl group give rise to the higher yields than electron withdrawing groups. Clean reaction, short reaction times, high yields, reusability of catalyst, and easy preparation of it are some advantages of this work.

This study deals with the histomorphology of the mesonephros in male and female Neurergus microspilotus. The slender and narrow kidneys are positioned in the retro peritoneal position up against the ventral aspect of vertebral column and may extend the length from the esophagus-stomach junction to cloaca. The kidney in both sexes is composed of sexual（anterior） and pelvic（posterior） parts. The duct of sexual kidney is a narrow duct which is lying alongside its lateral edge. In the female, it is connected to the ureters and then the duct of defi nitive kidney. Before entering the cloaca, two ureters are joined together and open to the apex of the cloaca. In the male, after entering the sexual kidney, the sperm leave the testis through efferent ducts, then these ducts join together and eventually form Bidder＇s duct. The Bidder＇s duct joins the Bowman＇s capsule of the nephrons in the sexual kidney and the nephrons make collecting ducts which are fi lled with both sperm and urine. After leaving the kidney, all the collecting ducts are connected to the Wolffi an duct. Wolffi an duct joins the ureters（merge from defi nitive kidney） just before entering the cloaca. Based on serial paraffi n sections, nephrons consist of a fi ltration unit, the Malpighian corpuscle, and a renal tubule, which can be divided into 4 morphologically distinct segments： proximal tubule（first and second segment）, distal tubule, and collecting tubule. Collecting tubules merge and form a branch system that opens into collecting ducts.

In this paper we proposed a new design for all optical NAND *** combining nonlinear Kerr effect with photonic crystal ring resonators,we designed an all optical NAND gate.A typical NAND gate is a logic device with one bias and two logic input and one output *** has four different combinations for its logic input *** output port of the NAND gate is OFF,when both logic ports are ON,otherwise the output port will be *** switching power threshold obtained for this structure equals to 1.5 kW/*** designing the proposed optical logic gate we employed one resonant ring whose resonant wavelength is at 1554 *** functionality of the proposed NAND gate depends on the operation of this resonant *** the power intensity of optical waves is less than the switching threshold the ring will couple optical waves into drop waveguide otherwise the optical waves will propagate on the bus waveguide.

This study examined the effects of increased salinity on growth, development and survival of the Green toad, Bufotes variabilis during embryonic, hatching and early larval periods. Eggs from a single cohort of B. variabilis were subjected to acute and chronic toxicity tests for water salinity ranging from 0.20 to 10 g of salt per liter. Results obtained from this study showed that salinity over 3.70 g/l increased embryonic mortality and reduced percentage of hatching and survival rate of larvae. As larvae tolerated salinity 0.20 to 3.70 g/l with highest survival, but salinity of 10 g/l caused mortality of all individuals within 12 h, 7.70-8.70 （g/l） within 4.5 days, 5.70-6.70 g/l within 10 days and 4.70 （g/l） were tolerated within 14 days. Salinity less than 0.70 g/l did not affect survival and hatching success of the embryos. After a 3-week experiment, size of larvae exposed to salinities over 0.70 g/l was lower compared to larvae reared at lower salinity levels. Meanwhile increases in salinity more than 3.70 g/l caused extension in the hatching period. Larvae reared at salinity of 3.70 to 4.70 g/l had morphological abnormalities, such as distortion of tail.

Blasting is a common method of breaking rock in surface *** the fragmentation with proper size is the main purpose,other undesirable effects such as flyrock are *** study is carried out to evaluate the capability of a novel kernel-based extreme learning machine algorithm,called kernel extreme learning machine(KELM),by which the flyrock distance(FRD) is ***,the other three data-driven models including local weighted linear regression(LWLR),response surface methodology(RSM) and boosted regression tree(BRT) are also developed to validate the main model.A database gathered from three quarry sites in Malaysia is employed to construct the proposed models using 73 sets of spacing,burden,stemming length and powder factor data as inputs and FRD as ***,the validity of the models is evaluated by comparing the corresponding values of some statistical metrics and validation ***,the results verify that the proposed KELM model on account of highest correlation coefficient(R) and lowest root mean square error(RMSE) is more computationally efficient,leading to better predictive capability compared to LWLR,RSM and BRT models for all data sets.

Microbiological and Histological Examinations of Endangered Neurergus kaiseri Tissues Displaying Red-leg Syndrome

Presence of the red leg syndrome （RLS） was documented through bacterial and histological examinations in the endangered Kaiser＇s mountain newt Neurergus kaiseri obtained from a pet shop. The individuals which were severely infected showed lethargy, appetite loss, weight loss, abdominal skin redness and skin ulcers on hind legs. This study reveals the presence of two bacteria causing RLS on the skin of captive AT. kaiseri including Proteus vulgaris and Bacillus cereus. Sections of skin in affected areas and internal organs were examined through standard histological procedures. Histologically, epidermal necrosis and ulcers, epidermal gland depletion, myositis and subcutaneous edema, gastric submucosal edema and hepatomegaly were seen. There were also correlations between the microbial infection and structural changes in tissues of Kaiser＇s mountain newt. The severity of the structural changes are related to the level of microbial infection in the target organs and could be sustained by the isolation of P. vulgaris and other pathogens. The presence of the infective bacterial population and their interaction on the skin of the newt may have changed the normal skin flora and facilitate the prevalence of other disease.
