The optimal dose of recombinant tissue plasminogen activator(rtPA)for acute ischaemic stroke(AIS)remains controversial,especially in Asian *** aimed to update the evidence regarding the use of low-dose versus standard-dose *** performed a systematic literature search across MEDLINE,Embase,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials(CENTRAL),PsycINFO and Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature(CINAHL)from inception to 22 August 2016 to identify all related *** outcomes were death or disability(defined by modified Rankin Scale 2-6),death,and symptomatic intracerebral haemorrhage(sICH).Where possible,data were pooled for meta-analysis with ORs and corresponding 95% CIs by means of random-effects or fixed-effects *** included 26 observational studies and 1 randomised controlled trial with a total of 23210 *** doses of rtPA were used for thrombolysis of AIS in ***-analysis shows that low-dose rtPA was not associated with increased risk of death or disability(OR 1.13,95% CI 0.95 to 1.33),or death(OR 0.86,95% CI 0.74 to 1.01),or decreased risk of sICH(OR 1.06,95% CI 0.65 to 1.72).The results remained consistent when sensitivity analyses were performed including only low-dose and standard-dose rtPA or only Asian *** review shows small difference between the outcomes or the risk profile in the studies using low-dose and/or standard-dose rtPA for ***-dose rtPA was not associated with lower risk of death or disability,death alone,or sICH.

Macrophages are one of the most abundant leukocyte populations infiltrating tumor tissues and can exhibit both tumoricidal and tumor-promoting *** 1989,we reported the purification of monocyte chemoattractant protein-1(MCP-1)from culture supernatants of mitogen-activated peripheral blood mononuclear cells and tumor ***-1 is a potent monocyte-attracting chemokine,identical to the previously described lymphocyte-derived chemotactic factor or tumor-derived chemotactic factor,and greatly contributes to the recruitment of blood monocytes into sites of inflammatory responses and *** in vitro-cultured tumor cells often produce significant amounts of MCP-1,tumor cells are considered to be the main source of ***,various nontumor cells in the tumor stroma also produce MCP-1 in response to *** performed in vitro and in vivo have provided evidence that MCP-1 production in tumors is a consequence of complex interactions between tumor cells and non-tumor cells and that both tumor cells and non-tumor cells contribute to the production of *** MCP-1 production was once considered to be a part of host defense against tumors,it is now believed to regulate the vicious cycle between tumor cells and macrophages that promotes the progression of tumors.

Efficient Origin-Destination Estimation Using Microscopic Traffic Simulation with Restricted Rerouting

Traffic simulators are utilized to solve a variety of traffic-related *** such simulators,origin-destination(OD)traffic volumes as mobility demands are required to input,and we need to estimate *** authors regard an OD estimation as a bi-level programming problem,and apply a microscopic traffic simulation model to ***,the simulation trials can be computationally expensive if full dynamic rerouting is allowed,when employing multi-agent-based models in the estimation *** paper proposes an efficient OD estimation method using a multi-agent-based simulator with restricted dynamic rerouting to reduce the computational *** though,in the case of large traffic demand,the restriction on dynamic rerouting can result in heavier *** authors resolve this problem by introducing constraints of the bi-level programming problem depending on link *** results show that the accuracy of the link traffic volume reproduced with the proposed method is virtually identical to that of existing methods but that the proposed method is more computationally efficient in a wide-range or high-demand context.

How are multiple satellites seen from the ground? Relative apparent motion and formation stabilization

This paper answers how multiple satellites are seen from the ground. This question is inspired by space-advertising, a public exhibition in the night sky using a dot matrix of satellites that are bright enough to be seen by the naked eye. Thus, it is important for space advertisement that the specific dot matrix is seen. Moreover, the stability of the dot matrix during a visible span is very valuable. To stabilize the dot matrix, this study formulates an apparent position of a dot from a representative dot seen from the ground. The formulation, linear functions of a set of relative orbital elements, reveals the appearance of the dot matrix. The proposed relative variable in the formulation drives the instability of the dot matrix, thereby revealing an initial stable configuration of deputies from a chief. The arbitrary dot matrix designed using the configuration is stable even at low elevations without orbital control during the visible span.

Performance of fluoride and boron compounds against drywood and subterranean termites and decay and mold fungi

Sodium fluoride(NaF)and disodium octaborate tetrahydrate(DOT)are well-known fungicides for preventing and remediating decay in wood and wood structures,due to their excellent diffusion properties in *** efficacy of both compounds against drywood termites is,however,inadequately studied;there is a lack of information on the development of proper protection and control methods against drywood termites using these diffusible *** this study,the threshold values of fluoride and boron against drywood and subterranean termites and decay and mold fungi were assessed in laboratory *** Cryptomeria japonica ***(sugi)sapwood specimens with four different concentrations of NaF and DOT applied by either dipping or vacuum processes were subjected to attack by drywood termites,Incisitermes minor(Hagen)for 6 *** specimens were also tested against subterranean termites,Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki for 3 *** decay and mold resistance tests were then performed to determine the efficacy of the compounds against fungal *** showed 80%or greater drywood termite mortality in wood specimens treated with NaF at a retention level of1.7 kg m-3 or *** DOT treated groups,higher retention levels(greater than 6.8 kg m-3)were needed to reach up to 80%or more termite *** general,weight losses in NaF-treated specimens were slightly lower than those in DOT-treated *** levels of around1.2 kg m-3 for NaF and 1.6 kg m-3 for DOT were high enough to reach the JIS K 1571 threshold requirement of weight loss less than 3%in subterranean termite resistance *** higher termite mortality values were seen in the DOT than NaF treatments at respective retention *** decay resistance tests,no weight losses were seen at a NaF retention level of 2.3 kg m-3;however,a retention level of nearly 4 kg m-3 for DOT was needed for complete protection against both test *** most cases,lower weight losses were obtained i

Experimental Analysis of Flow Structure in Contra-Rotating Axial Flow Pump Designed with Different Rotational Speed Concept

As a high specific speed pump, the contra-rotating axial flow pump distinguishes itself in a rear rotor rotating in the opposite direction of the front rotor, which remarkably contributes to the energy conversion, the reduction of the pump size, better hydraulic and cavitation performances. However, with two rotors rotating reversely, the significant interaction between blade rows was observed in our prototype contra-rotating rotors, which highly affected the pump performance compared with the conventional axial flow pumps. Consequently, a new type of rear rotor was designed by the rotational speed optimization methodology with some additional considerations, aiming at better cavitation performance, the reduction of blade rows interaction and the secondary flow suppression. The new rear rotor showed a satisfactory performance at the design flow rate but an unfavorable positive slope of the head - flow rate curve in the partial flow rate range less than 40% of the design flow rate, which should be avoided for the reliability of pump-pipe systems. In the present research, to understand the internal flow field of new rear rotor and its relation to the performances at the partial flow rates, the velocity distributions at the inlets and outlets of the rotors are firstly investigated. Then, the boundary layer flows on rotor surfaces, which clearly reflect the secondary flow inside the rotors, are analyzed through the limiting streamline observations using the multi-color oil-film method. Finally, the unsteady numerical simulations are carded out to understand the complicated internal flow structures in the rotors.

Inverse Analysis of Origin-Destination Matrix for Microscopic Traffic Simulator

Microscopic traffic simulations are useful for solving various trafficrelated problems,*** jams and accidents,local and global environmental and energy problems,maintaining mobility in aging societies,and evacuation planning for natural as well as man-made *** origin-destination(OD)matrix is often used as the input to represent traffic demands into traffic *** this study,we propose an indirect method for estimating the OD matrix using a traffic simulator as an internal *** proposed method is designed to output results that are consistent with the input of the *** method consists of the following steps:(1)calculating link traffic volume from the OD matrix,and(2)updating the *** estimated matrix is updated iteratively until it converges to a predefined tolerance *** experiments are then conducted using the proposed method on a grid network and on a representation of an actual road ***,we discuss the characteristics of the proposed method and the non-negative constraint for the traffic volume.

Dirac reduction of binary asteroid systems with symmetry and stability of relative equilibria

In this paper, we study symmetry reduction for a binary asteroid system modeled by a rigid body and a particle. In particular, we demonstrate how translational and rotational symmetry reduction appeared in the binary asteroid system can be carried out in the context of Dirac reduction by stages and with the associated reduction of implicit Hamiltonian systems. Then we investigate Stability of relative equilibria of the asteroid pair and show stability regions by using the energy-momentum method. Lastly, we illustrate some numerical simulations for stable and unstable orbits near from relative equilibria of the Collinear and T configurations.C 2013 The Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics.
