This work a.med to find the effect of cra.berry extra.t (75 a.d 150 mg/kg·b·w) a.d vit. C (1 g/kg·b·w ora.ly) on rena. toxicity induced by Diclofena. sodium in ma.e a.bino ra.s. Trea.ed ra.s with diclofena. sodium with a.concentra.ion 150 mg/kg·b·w, expressed a.significa.t increa.e in severa. pa.a.eters includes, pla.ma.tota. cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, a.d triglyceride a. well a. rena. nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis fa.tor-a.fa.(TNF-α) a.d TBa.S. In a.dition, a.significa.t reduction in rena. superoxide dismuta.e (SOD), GSH, ca.a.a.e (Ca.) a.d pla.ma.HDL. The present results expla.n tha., using cra.berry extra.t a.d vit. C resulted in increa.ing the level of GSH, Ca. a.d SOD a. well a. gene expression of rena. SOD, Ca. a.d IL-22 a.d reduce the level of TBa.s significa.tly which led to preventing rena. tissue da.a.e. Our results a.so revea.ed tha. cra.berry extra.t ca. protect DNa.from da.a.e a. obta.ned from comet essa.. TM-U wa. eleva.ed in DCLF trea.ed group when compa.ed with norma.. However cra.berry extra.t wa. a.le to reduce this eleva.ion in dose dependa.t ma.ner. Histologica. fea.ures in H&E ta.en to different groups a.so mirrors this findings. DCLF ca.ses ma.y cha.ges in rena. tissue include infiltra.ion by infla.ma.ory cells, a.tenua.ed glomeruli, a.optosis in tubula. epithelia.

Liquefa.tion a.sessment ba.ed on stra.n energy is significa.tly superior to conventiona. stress-ba.ed methods. The ma.n purpose of the present study is to investiga.e the correla.ion between shea. wa.e velocity a.d stra.n energy ca.a.ity of silty sa.ds. The dissipa.ed energy until liquefa.tion occurs wa. ca.cula.ed by a.a.yzing the results of three series of comprehensive cyclic direct simple shea. a.d tria.ia. tests on Otta.a.F65, Neva.a. a.d Firoozkuh sa.ds with va.ying silt content by weight a.d rela.ive densities. a.ditiona.ly, the shea. wa.e velocity of ea.h series wa. obta.ned using bender element or resona.t column tests. Consequently, for the first time, a.liquefa.tion triggering criterion, rela.ing to effective overburden norma.ized liquefa.tion ca.a.ity energy (W-L/sigma.c)') to effective overburden stress-corrected shea. wa.e velocity (V-s1) ha. been introduced. The a.cura.y of the proposed criteria.wa. eva.ua.ed using in situ da.a. The results confirm the a.ility of shea. wa.e velocity a. a.distinguishing pa.a.eter for sepa.a.ing liquefied a.d non-liquefied soils when it is ca.cula.ed a.a.nst liquefa.tion ca.a.ity energy (W-L/sigma.c)'). However, the proposed W-L/sigma.c)'-V-s1 curve, simila. to previously proposed cyclic resista.ce ra.io (CRR)-V-s1 rela.ionships, should be used conserva.ively for fields vulnera.le to liquefa.tion-induced la.era. sprea.ing. The volta.e va.ia.le a.d its a.socia.ed deriva.ives a.e used a. the input va.ia.les of a.fuzzy-logic block. In a.dition, the volta.e tra.ectory is compa.ed with the pre-selected pilot-bus volta.e to ma.e a.relia.le decision a.out the volta.e opera.iona. sta.e. Different types of short-term volta.e dyna.ics a.e considered in the proposed method. The fuzzy membership functions a.e determined using a.systema.ic method tha. considers the current situa.ion of the volta.e tra.ectory. Fina.ly, the volta.e sta.us is ca.egorized into four cla.ses to determine a.propria.e remedia. a.tions. The proposed method is va.ida.ed on a.IEEE 73-bus power system in a.Ma.La. environment.
