Centrifugal pumps are being widely used in many industrial and commercial *** of these pumps are being operated at constant speed but could provide energy savings through adjustable speed *** purpose of this study was to get the energy saving rates of the multistage centrifugal pump with variable speed *** this investigation an experimental set up of variable flow and pressure system was made to get energy saving rates and numerical analyses are applied to validate the pump *** energy saving and therefore the cost saving depends on the specific duty cycle of which the machine *** cycle is the proportion of time during which a component,device and system is *** duty cycle segmented into different flow rates and weighting the average value for each segment by the interval *** system was operated at 50%or less of the pump *** input power of the system was carried out by pump characteristics curve of each operating *** energy consumption was done by the product of specific duty cycle and the input power of the system for constant speed and variable speed drive *** total energy consumed for constant speed drive pump was 75,770 k *** and for variable speed drive pump was 31,700 k *** total energy saving of the system was 44,070 k *** or 58.16%***,this paper suggests a method of implementing an energy saving on variable-flow and pressure system of the multistage centrifugal pump.

This study examined factors related to the psychological well-being of older adults and built and verified a model for predictingpsychological well-being. The participants were 350 older adults aged over 60 years who lived in so.th Korea and were active in thelocal community. The model proposed in this study was found to be suitable. Depression, self-efficacy, and so.ial support had adirect effect on the psychological well-being of older adults, while depression, activities of daily living (ADLs), and self-efficacy hadan indirect effect. Self-efficacy and so.ial support mediated the relationship between depression and psychological well-being, andself-efficacy mediated the relationship between ADLs and psychological well-being. It is necessary to develop and implement aprogram that can help alleviate depression and improve self-efficacy and so.ial support among older adults in order toenhance their psychological well-being. Additionally, to establish a model that predicts the psychological well-being of olderadults, a study is needed to verify the model not only in Korea but also.in other countries.

BACKGROUND Advances in endoscopic imaging enable the identification of patients at high risk of gastric ***,there are no comparative data on the utility of standard and magnifying narrow-band imaging(M-NBI)endoscopy for diagnosing Helicobacter pylori(***)infection,gastric atrophy,and intestinal *** To compare the diagnostic performance of standard and M-NBI endoscopy for *** gastritis and precancerous *** In 254 patients,standard endoscopy findings were classified into mosaic-like appearance(type A),diffuse homogenous redness(type B),and irregular redness with groove(type C).Gastric mucosal patterns visualized by M-NBI were classified as regular round pits with polygonal sulci(type Z-1),more dilated and linear pits without sulci(type Z-2),and loss of gastric pits with coiled vessels(type Z-3).RESULTS The diagnostic accuracy of standard and M-NBI endoscopy for *** gastritis was 93.3%and 96.1%,*** gastric precancerous conditions,the accuracy of standard and M-NBI endoscopy was 72.0%vs 72.6%for moderate to severe atrophy,and 61.7%vs.61.1%for intestinal metaplasia in the corpus,*** to type A and Z-1,types B+C and Z-2+Z-3 were significantly asso.iated with moderate to severe atrophy[odds ratio(OR)=5.56 and 8.67]and serum pepsinogen I/II ratio of≤3(OR=4.48 and 5.69).CONCLUSION Close observation of the gastric mucosa by standard and M-NBI endoscopy is useful for the diagnosis of *** gastritis and precancerous conditions.

A measurement technique that can measure the concentration of the so.id particles in liquid flow was *** measurement system consists of a color camera and three LCD *** so.id particles were put at the bottom of a cylindrical mixing tank in which JetA1 oil was *** mixing of the so.id particles was performed by rotating a propeller type agitator with three different rotation speed(500,600,700 r/min).Mixing state was visualized by the LCD displays and a color *** color intensity of the glass particles changes with their *** color information was decoded into three principle colors R,G,and B so.that,the calibration curve of color-to-concentration was performed using these information.A neural network was used for this *** transient concentration field of the so.id particles was quantitatively visualized.

Attention deficit and hyperactivity diso.der（ADHD） is a diso.der characterized by behavioral symptoms including hyperactivity/impulsivity among children,adolescents,and *** ADHD related symptoms are influenced by the complex interaction of brain networks which were under *** explored age-related brain network differences between ADHD patients and typically developing（TD） subjects using resting state f MRI（rs-f MRI） for three age groups of children,adolescents,and *** collected rs-f MRI data from 184 individuals（27 ADHD children and 31 TD children;32 ADHD adolescents and 32 TD adolescents;and 31 ADHD adults and 31 TD adults）.The Brainnetome Atlas was used to define nodes in the network *** compared three age groups of ADHD and TD subjects to identify the distinct regions that could explain age-related brain network differences based on degree centrality,a well-known measure of nodal *** left middle temporal gyrus showed significant interaction effects between disease status（i.e.,ADHD or TD） and age（i.e.,child,adolescent,or adult）（P 0.001）.Additional regions were identified at a relaxed threshold（P 0.05）.Many of the identified regions（the left inferior frontal gyrus,the left middle temporal gyrus,and the left insular gyrus） were related to cognitive *** results of our study suggest that aberrant development in cognitive brain regions might be asso.iated with age-related brain network changes in ADHD *** findings contribute to better understand how brain function influences the symptoms of ADHD.

Recently, a semi-so.id metal processing has been acknowledged as a cost-effective technique to be able to manufacture high quality product for the transportation industry. In this study a hypo-eutectic Al alloy was fabricated by means of an electromagnetic stirrer in continuous casting process and the microstructural change during so.idification due to a fluid flow by electromagnetic stirring was examined. Due to the forced fluid flow during so.idification a dendritic phase of primary α phase of Al alloy was turned into a globular phase, which can make the Al alloy get a thixotropic behavior in the semi-so.id region. In order to establish the quantitative relationship between microstructure and the process parameters, the morphology shape, a silicon distribution and a size of primary α phase were observed according to casting speed in continuous casting machine. The primary α phase was turned into the degenerate dendrites approaching a spherical configuration with increasing casting speed. The fine-grained and equiaxed microstructure appeared at higher casting speed. A segregation behavior of Si element was declined with increasing casting speed and a very uniform distribution of Si element was observed on the billet at a casting speed of 600 mm·min-1. A thickness of the so.idifying shell of the billet was shortened with increasing the casting speed.
