With the development of artificial intelligence-related technologies such as deep learning,various organizations,including the government,are making various efforts to generate and manage big data for use in artificial ***,it is difficult to acquire big data due to various social problems and restrictions such as personal information *** are many problems in introducing technology in fields that do not have enough training data necessary to apply deep learning ***,this study proposes a mixed contour data augmentation technique,which is a data augmentation technique using contour images,to solve a problem caused by a lack of ***,a famous convolutional neural network(CNN)architecture,and CIFAR-10,a benchmark data set,are used for experimental performance evaluation to prove the superiority of the proposed *** to prove that high performance improvement can be achieved even with a small training dataset,the ratio of the training dataset was divided into 70%,50%,and 30%for comparative *** a result of applying the mixed contour data augmentation technique,it was possible to achieve a classification accuracy improvement of up to 4.64%and high accuracy even with a small amount of data *** addition,it is expected that the mixed contour data augmentation technique can be applied in various fields by proving the excellence of the proposed data augmentation technique using benchmark datasets.

Objective：The aim of the present study was to investigate antioxidant and the anticancerigen activity of a methanol extract from Artemisia princeps *** （APME）,a well-known traditional herbal medicine in Asia,in hepatocellular cancer ***：To evaluate the antioxidant activity of APME,reactive oxygen species （ROS） and the antioxidant enzymes,superoxide dismutase （soD） and catalase were investigated in HepG2 cells exposed to APME （5,100,and 200 μg/mL） for 72 ***,to evaluate the anticancer activity of APME,we investigated the proliferation and apoptosis induction of HepG2 and Hep3B cells exposed to APME （1-200 μg/mL） for 24,48,and 72 ***：APME dose-dependently reduced the generation of ROS in the presence of H2O2 compared with control ***,it increased catalase and soD ***,APME inhibited cell proliferation in a dose-and time-dependcnt manner,but at concentrations lower than 100 μg/mL,the inhibition was less dose-dependent than ***2 and Hep3B cells exposed to 5,100,and 200 μg/mL APME for 72 h underwent cell cycle arrest and *** to APME resulted in a significant increase in the number of cells in G1 phase and a decrease in the G2/M phase cell *** addition,APME induced P53 expression of HepG2 cells in a dose-dependent manner,and played a role in the downregulation of Bcl-2 and upregulation of Bax in both HepG2 and Hep3B ***：These results indicate the potential role of APME as an antioxidant and anticancerigen agent in hepatocarcinoma cell lines.

Recently,deep learning has achieved remarkable results in fields that require human cognitive ability,learning ability,and reasoning *** functions are very important because they provide the ability of artificial neural networks to learn complex patterns through *** activation functions are being studied to solve problems such as vanishing gradients and dying nodes that may occur in the deep learning ***,it takes a lot of time and effort for researchers to use the existing activation function in their ***,in this paper,we propose a universal activation function(UA)so that researchers can easily create and apply various activation functions and improve the performance of neural *** can generate new types of activation functions as well as functions like traditional activation functions by properly adjusting three *** famous Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)and benchmark datasetwere used to evaluate the experimental performance of the UA proposed in this *** compared the performance of the artificial neural network to which the traditional activation function is applied and the artificial neural network to which theUA is *** addition,we evaluated the performance of the new activation function generated by adjusting the hyperparameters of *** experimental performance evaluation results showed that the classification performance of CNNs improved by up to 5%through the UA,although most of them showed similar performance to the traditional activation function.

Recently, various kinds ofbiomimetic robots have been studied. Among these biomimetic robots, water-running robots that mimic the characteristics of basilisk lizards have received much attention. However, studies on the performance with respect to different geometric parameters and gaits have been lacking. To run on the surface of water, a water-running robot needs suffi- cient force with high stability to stay above the water. We experimentally measured the performance of the foot pads with different geometric parameters and with various gaits. We measured and analyzed the forces in the vertical direction and rolling angles of five different foot pad shapes： a circular shape, square shape, half-spherical shape, open half-cylinder shape, and closed half-cylinder shape. Additionally, the rolling stabilities of three kinds of gaits： biped, trotting, and tripod, were also empirically analyzed. The results of this research can be used as a guideline to design a stable water-running robot.

The tensile elongation behavior and deformation mechanisms of superplastic Mg alloys and Mg composites were examined by extensively reviewing the literature published from the time of the first report on the superplasticity of Mg alloys to the present *** on the superplasticity of Mg alloys have been conducted mainly on Mg-Al-Zn(AZ)series alloys,Mg-Zn-Zr(ZK),Mg-Li and Mg-RE(rare earth)alloys,and in recent years,Mg-RE alloys have attracted the greatest *** effect of grain size and the type and amount of secondary phase particles on the superplasticity of Mg alloys was systematically examined and *** alloys processed by severe plastic deformation(SPD)and powder-metallurgy methods have smaller grain sizes and exhibit superior superplasticity compared to conventionally processed(by extrusion and rolling)Mg *** the AZ alloys,as the volume fraction of the Mg17Al12phase increases,smaller grains are obtained,and the low-temperature superplasticity(LTS)and high-strain-rate superplasticity(HSRS)characteristics become *** ZK60 alloy with finely dispersed Mg Zn2particles exhibits excellent LTS,while the Mg-RE alloys with a high fraction of thermally stable particles exhibit excellent ***-Li alloys can exhibit LTS even at room temperature due to the presence of a high-volume fraction of the body centered cubic(BCC)phase where atomic diffusivity is *** boundary diffusion-and lattice diffusion-controlled grain boundary sliding are found to operate as the dominant deformation mechanisms below~473 K and above~673 K,respectively,at small grain *** mechanism maps were constructed based on the analysis of the deformation behavior of superplastic Mg alloys,and from the maps,the critical conditions for achieving LTS,HSRS and simultaneous achievement of LTS and HRSR were calculated and proposed,and their importance was discussed.

Samples of Mg-8.2Gd-3.8Y-1.1Zn-0.4Zr alloy with and without an intragranular lamellae-shaped long period stacking ordered(LPso)phase were prepared through heat treatment and a series of hot compression tests on these materials were conducted to examine and evaluate the influence of LPso on the hot compressive deformation behavior and deformation mechanisms at a given alloy *** values of activation energy for plastic flow(Qc)of the solution treated(without LPso phase)and annealed alloys(with intragranular LPso phase)were larger than that for pure Mg,indicating that the presence of a high amount of rare earth(RE)elements and LPso in the Mg matrix significantly increases *** Qcvalue of the annealed alloy was larger than that of the solution treated alloy at all the strain levels(223.3 vs.195.5 k J/mol in average)and the largest difference in Qcbetween the two alloys was recorded at the smallest strain of 0.1 where precipitation of LPso during deformation was limited in the solution treated *** observations imply that the formation of LPso phase out of the RE-rich solid solution matrix during deformation increases Qc,but the increment is not so *** of the hot compressive data of the alloys with LPso phase and the alloys with RE-rich solid solution matrix in literatures indicates the similarity of the effect of the LPso and RE-rich solid solution matrix phases on Qcand high-temperature strength.

The challenge in the practical application of rocking foundations is the estimation of its performance,particularly the rotation angle,during a strong *** this study,the dynamic rocking behavior for a shallow foundation considering structural response was evaluated through two analytical approaches:the conventional soil-foundation-structure interaction(SFSI)governing equation of a single-degree-of-freedom(SDOF)structure on a rocking shallow foundation,and the Housner rocking model(i.e.,a rocking rigid block on a rigid base).Both approaches were validated with dynamic centrifuge *** test models consisted of a soft soil deposit,a shallow rectangular foundation,and an SDOF structure dominated by a bending behavior.A total of 11 foundation-structure systems and six seismic waves,including recorded earthquake signals and sinusoidal waves,were *** results showed that the conventional SFSI equation well predicted the maximum rotation during strong ***,this method was less accurate regarding the rotational phase information and maximum rotation of the foundation during weak *** the other hand,although the modified Housner′s rocking model required five parameters relevant to a soil-foundation-structure system,it overestimated the maximum rotation of the foundation when compared with the results from dynamic centrifuge tests.
