Background: Preeclampsi. i. reported to compli.ate 2% - 8% of pregnanci.s globally and i. an i.portant cause of maternal and peri.atal morbi.i.y and mortali.y. The aeti.logy and pathogenesi. are sti.l poorly understood and substanti.l i.provement has not been made i. the predi.ti.n, preventi.n and treatment of the di.ease. Objecti.e: To compare the frequency of acti.ated protei. C resi.tance (APC-R) i. pati.nts wi.h pre-eclampsi. to that of normotensi.e pregnant women and to determi.e the correlati.n between acti.ated protei. rati. (APC-rati.) and the severi.y of pre-eclampsi.. Methodology: A cross-secti.nal study was carri.d out i. 100 pre-eclampti. pati.nts and 100 normotensi.e pregnant controls. The APC-rati. was determi.ed usi.g the modi.i.d acti.ated parti.l thromboplasti. ti.e. Study parti.i.ants wi.h APC-rati. of less than 2.0 were defi.ed as havi.g APC-R. Data was analyzed usi.g SPSS versi.n 22.0. Results: Mean APC-rati. was si.ni.i.antly lower i. pre-eclampti.s (2.89 ± 1.70) compared to normotensi.e pregnant women (3.57 ± 1.06) (p = 0.0008) and the levels were also hi.her i. mi.d (2.95 ± 1.15) compared to severe pre-eclampti.s (2.62 ± 1.14). The frequency of APC-R was 26% among women wi.h pre-eclampsi. compared to 4% among normotensi.e controls (p = 0.000). Among 100 pre-eclampti. women 7 (21.2%) out of 33 wi.h mi.d pre–eclampsi. had APC-R, whi.e 19 (28.4%) out of 67 wi.h severe pre-eclampsi. had APC-R. APC-rati. had a si.ni.i.ant negati.e correlati.n wi.h mean arteri.l blood pressure (r = −0.324;p = 0.000) and protei.uri. (r = −0.379;p = 0.000) among study parti.i.ants. Conclusi.n: The frequency of acti.ated protei. c resi.tance i. si.ni.i.antly hi.her i. pre-eclampti.s compared to normotensi.e pregnant women and thi. i. more pronounced i. those wi.h severe pre-eclampsi. compared wi.h those wi.h mi.d di.ease. APC-R may therefore be used as a marker of severi.y i. the di.ease.

ESR due to the i.proved mass transfer(through the 2-D structure of ZSM-5 nanosheet)and formati.n of confi.ed small Ni.nanoparti.les(resulted vi. the i. si.u encapsulati.n synthesi.).i. addi.i.n,the resulti.g ZSM-5 nanosheet supported Ni.catalyst also showed hi.h Ni.di.persi.n and hi.h accessi.i.i.y to Ni.si.es by the reactants,bei.g able to i.prove the acti.i.y and stabi.i.y of catalysts and suppress metal si.teri.g and coki.g duri.g ESR at hi.h reacti.n ***,the Ni.supported on ZSM-5 nanosheet catalyst prepared by encapsulati.n showed the stable performance wi.h~88% ethanol conversi.n and~65% H_(2) yi.ld achi.ved duri.g a 48-h longevi.y test at 550-C.

Recently,i.verted T-beams have been used i. rei.forced concrete(RC)bri.ges to support transverse precast *** T-beams,contrary to practi.e wi.h conventi.nal beams,are loaded on the flanges upper *** loadi.g confi.urati.n causes hanger fai.ure due to the generati.n of verti.al tensi.e stresses near the bottom of the *** key purpose of thi. study i. to i.vesti.ate the effi.i.ncy of verti.al external prestressi.g stai.less-steel bars i. mi.i.ati.g non-ducti.e hanger fai.ure i. rei.forced concrete i.verted *** experi.ental study on si. i.verted-T beams,i.cludi.g two un-strengthened speci.ens,was carri.d *** study showed that the value of the prestressi.g level had a consi.erable i.pact on the performance of hanger mechani.m i. relati.n to crack pattern,ulti.ate loads,cracki.g behavi.r,load-deflecti.n,strai.s,and *** experi.ental results i.di.ated that the suggested method for strengtheni.g i.verted T-beams had effi.acy i. reduci.g the seri.usness of the non-ducti.e hanger fai.ure and resulted i. a strength i.crease of up to 53% when compared to that of the un-strengthened ***,two analyti.al models for esti.ati.g the hanger capaci.y and the average crack wi.th of the strengthened RC i.verted T-beams were *** models that were proposed exhi.i.ed a hi.h degree of agreement wi.h the experi.ental results.
