Most ground filtering algorithms are primarily designed for airborne LiDAR point cloud processing and their successful use in identifying ground points from photogrammetric point clouds remains *** compared six ground filtering algorithms implemented in Metashape,ArcGIS,CloudCompare,LAStools,and *** used UAV photogrammetry-based(acquired under leaf-off conditions)and airborne LiDAR(leaf-on)point clouds of the same area to:(i)compare accuracy of generated DtMs;(ii)evaluate the effect of vegetation density and terrain slope on filtering accuracy;and(iii)assess which algorithm parameters have the greatest effect on the filtering *** results show that the performance of filtering algorithms was affected by the point cloud type,terrain slope and vegetation *** results were generally better for LiDAR(RMSE 0.13–0.19 m)than for photogrammetric(RMSE 0.19–0.23 m)point *** behavior in varying vegetation and terrain conditions was consistent for LiDAR point ***,when applied on photogrammetric point clouds,the algorithms’behavior was inconsistent,especially in areas of steep slope(except for the Progressive triangulated Irregular Network in LAStools).Parameters related to the selection of the initial minimum elevation ground points were the most influential in all algorithms and point clouds.

Chiral materials,similarly to human hands,have distinguishable right-handed and left-handed enantiomers which may behave differently in response to external ***,we use for the first time an approach based on the density functional theory(DFt)+PAOFLOW calculations to quantitatively estimate the so-called collinear Rashba–Edelstein effect(REE)that generates spin accumulation parallel to charge current and can manifest as chirality-dependent charge-to-spin conversion in chiral ***,we reveal that the spin accumulation induced in the bulk by an electric current is intrinsically protected by the quasi-persistent spin helix arising from the crystal symmetries present in chiral systems with the Weyl spin–orbit *** contrast to conventional REE,spin transport can be preserved over large distances,in agreement with the recent observations for some chiral *** allows,for example,the generation of spin currents from spin accumulation,opening novel routes for the design of solid-state spintronics devices.

this paper examines the transport analysis, including both heat transfer and mass transfer, in hybrid nanofluid flow containing gyrotactic microorganisms towards a curved oscillatory surface. the influence of magnetic fields is also inspected in terms of their physical characteristics. to depict the phenomena of transport, modified versions of both Fick's and Fourier's laws are used. Additionally, the characteristics of both heterogeneous and homogeneous chemical reactions are also incorporated. Utilizing a curvilinear coordinate system, the flow problem is formulated as partial differential equations(PDEs)for momentum, concentration, microorganism field, and energy. An analytical solution to the obtained flow equations is achieved utilizing the homotopy analysis method(HAM).the effects of significant flow parameters on the pressure and microorganism fields, velocity, oscillation velocity, concentration, and temperature distributions are shown via graphs. Furthermore, the variations in skin friction, mass transfer rate, heat transfer rate, and local motile number due to different involved parameters are presented in tables and are analyzed in detail. Graphical results indicate that the curves of velocity and temperature fields are enhanced as the values of the solid volume fraction variables *** is also verified that the concentration rate field decreases as the values of the homogeneous reaction strength parameter and the radius of curvature parameter increase, and it increases with the Schmidt number and the heterogeneous reaction strength *** outcomes show a favorable response of the motile number to advanced values of the Peclet number, the Schmidt number, the microorganism difference parameter, and the bio-convective Lewis number.

Myxomycete distribution patterns were investigated in a colony of great cormorants(Phalacrocorax carbo sinensis)established in a pine forest in the Curonian Spit,western *** impact on the forest resulted both in vegetation changes and altered types and characteristics of myxomycete *** lowest myxomycete species richness was found in the most active part of the colony with the newest and most numerous *** myxomycete assemblages of the active part of the colony also showed the biggest differences from the reference zone(oligotrophic pine forest).the general abundance of myxomycetes in the territory of the colony was higher due to the presence of the species that are not characteristic of pine *** most abundant species in the territory were Badhamia apiculospora and Perichaena *** with other facultative coprophiles,such rare species as Comatricha mirabilis and Arcyria leiocarpa were found sporulating in the *** Bray-Curtis ordination revealed a tripole gradient of myxomycete distribution in the *** was hypothesized that the first continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage transition from hypertrophic to oligotrophic habitat;the second continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage distribution from habitats with limited diversity of available substrata,extreme levels of nutrients and high pH to habitats with high diversity of available substrata,moderate to high levels of nutrients and pH,and the third continuum may reflect myxomycete assemblage distribution from habitats with lower diversity of available substrata,low levels of nutrients and pH to habitats with high diversity of available substrata,moderate to high levels of nutrients and pH.

BACKGROUND Patients discharged after hospitalization for acute heart failure(AHF) are frequently readmitted due to an incomplete decongestion, which is difficult to assess clinically. Recently, it has been shown that the use of a highly sensitive,non-invasive device measuring lung impedance(LI) reduces hospitalizations for heart failure(HF); it has also been shown that this device reduces the cardiovascular and all-cause mortality of stable HF patients when used in longterm out-patient follow-ups. the aim of these case series is to demonstrate the potential additive role of non-invasive home LI monitoring in the early postdischarge *** SUMMARY We present a case series of three patients who had performed daily LI measurements at home using the edema guard monitor(EGM) during 30 d after an episode of AHF. All patients had a history of chronic ischemic HF with a reduced ejection fraction and were hospitalized for 6–17 d. LI measurements were successfully made at home by patients with the help of their caregivers. the patients were carefully followed up by HF specialists who reacted to the values of LI measurements, blood pressure, heart rate and clinical symptoms. LI reduction was a more frequent trigger to medication adjustments compared to changes in symptoms or vital signs. Besides, LI dynamics closely tracked the use and dose of *** Our case series suggests non-invasive home LI monitoring with EGM to be a reliable and potentially useful tool for the early detection of congestion or dehydration and thus for the further successful stabilization of a HF patient after a worsening episode.

the aim of this work was to use cellulose nanocrystals that were obtained by hydrolysis in phosphoric acid solution and further modified with succinic anhydride in the microwave field for PLA reinforcement.A series of allbionanocomposites containing unmodified and surface modified cellulose nanocrystals with CNC content in the range of 1–3%_(w.t.) were obtained by melt blending and tested by XRD,SEM,DSC and DMA to investigate the effect of surface esterification of CNCs on the structure,morphology,dynamic mechanical properties of bionanocomposites,as well as phase transitions of PLA in the presence of cellulosic *** investigations showed the highest increase of storage modulus by ca.7%(335 MPa at 25℃)in the glassy state of PLA for 2%_(w.t.)of unmodified ***,addition of 2%_(w.t.)of succinylated CNCs caused the highest increase of the onset of glass transition temperature(by 6.2℃)thus widening the temperature range of biocomposite *** increase of glass transition temperature indicates the strongest interfacial interactions due to improved miscibility of surface modified nanocrystals and thus good dispersion of additive in PLA matrix providing high interface.

this paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. the strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. the curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. Subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. the accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANSYS, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

the stability of monocultural,even-aged spruce forests at lower altitudes in Central Europe is seriously threatened by the prospects of global climate *** thermostability and water use efficiency of their photo synthetic apparatus might play a vital role in their successful *** this study,photo systemⅡ(PSⅡ)performance(OJIP transient,rapid light curves)and thermostability were analyzed in Norway spruce(Picea abies(L.)Karst.)throughout the growing season of the exceptionally warm year 2018(May-September)in the Western Carpathians,*** measurements were accompanied by analysis of pigment concentrations in the *** addition,gas-exchange temperature curves were produced weekly from June until September to obtain intrinsic water use *** the beginning of the growing season,needles exposed to heat stress showed significantly higher basal fluorescence and lower quantum yield,performance index,critical temperature thresholds of PSII inactivation and nonphotochemical yield in comparison to other *** overall thermostability(heat-resistance)of PSII peaked in July and August,reflected in the lowest basal fluorescence and the highest quantum yield of PSII,critical temperature thresholds and yield of non-photochemical quenching under heat ***,the ratio between chlorophyll and carotenoids was the highest in August and had a positive impact on PSII ***,the high-temperature intrinsic water use efficiency was significantly higher during July and August than in *** show that15-year-old trees of Picea abies at 840 m *** acclimative seasonal responses of PSII thermostability and intrinsic water use efficiency during an exceptionally warm *** results suggest that mountainous *** at lower altitudes can acclimate their photosynthetic apparatus to higher temperatures during summer.

the aim of this work was to investigate the influence of Spirulina (Spirulina platensis) as a natural filler on thecuring characterization, morphology and mechanical, thermomechanical and thermal properties of naturalrubber (NR) based composites. Spirulina was introduced into NR mixture in amount of 0 phr, 10 phr and 30 *** vulcanization process was carried out at the determined process condition by using hydraulic press atoptimum vulcanization time (t90). It was noticed that Spirulina affected on the reduction of t90, and scorch time(t2) of the NR mixtures. Obtained vulcanizates were subjected to the number of tests e.g. scanning electronmicroscopy analysis, mechanical dynamical analysis, tensile test, hardness, and thermogravimetry. Generally, itwas found that Spirulina added in amount of 10 phr NR positively influenced on tensile strength (tSb), storagemodulus and hardness of obtained composites.
