Problems and prospects of fish farming in the Chattogram Hill Tracts of Bangladesh:Community-based aquaculture might be a right choice

The study was carried out in Matiranga Upazila,Bandarban district,which is considered one of Bangladesh’s major hill tract *** study aimed to identify present farming conditions,prospects,and problems and suitable solutions to the problems of fish *** participatory rapid appraisal tools such as focus group discussion,field visits,and farmers’interviews were used to collect relevant fish farming information in the study *** polyculture method was the most practised aquaculture *** the selected farms,eleven fish species were identified as culture *** transportation cost for seeds purchased from remote areas was high(11%of total seed cost).The average transportation-related mortality of fish fry and fingerlings was 7.2%and 2.8%.Feed cost was found as the major cost(58.4%)in *** and revenue for fish production per decimal varied from BDT 311 to 3528 and BDT 23 to *** of vacant lake,youth and women engagement,integrated aquaculture,the desire of people to engage in aquaculture,and available human resources were found as significant *** major problems identified were lack of hatchery,high feed cost,lack of stakeholder linkage,lack of capital for fish farming,and lack of proper knowledge,guidelines,and consultancy for fish culture.A community-based aquaculture model was proposed to overcome the present challenges and problems in the study *** model may help to expand aquaculture and thus improve the livelihood and socio-economic status of the people of the hilly areas of Bangladesh.

Altered three-dimensional architecture of chromatin influences various genomic regulators and subsequent gene expression in human ***,knowledge of the topological rearrangement of genomic hierarchical layers in cancer is largely ***,by taking advantage of in situ Hi-C,RNA-sequencing,and chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing(ChIP-seq),we investigated structural reorganization and functional changes in chromosomal compartments,topologically associated domains(TADs),and CCCTC binding factor(CTCF)-mediated loops in gallbladder cancer(GBC)tissues and cell *** observed that the chromosomal compartment A/B switch was correlated with CTCF binding levels and gene expression *** inter-TAD interactions with weaker TAD boundaries were identified in cancer cell lines relative to normal ***,the chromatin short loops and cancer unique loops associated with chromatin remodeling and epithelial–mesenchymal transition activation were enriched in cancer compared with their control ***-specific enhancer–promoter loops,which contain multiple transcription factor binding motifs,acted as a central element to regulate aberrant gene *** of individual enhancers in each loop anchor that connects with promoters led to the inhibition of their corresponding gene ***,our data offer the landscape of hierarchical layers of cancer genome and functional alterations that contribute to the development of GBC.

Currently,there is a lack of effective medicines capable of halting or reve rsing the progression of neurodegenerative disorde rs,including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,Parkinson s disease,multiple sclerosis,or Alzheimer s *** the unmet medical need,it is necessary to reevaluate the existing para digms of how to to rget these *** considering neurodegenerative diseases from a systemic neurometabolic perspective,it becomes possible to explain the shared pathological *** innovative approach presented in this paper draws upon exte nsive research conducted by the authors and researchers *** this review,we highlight the importance of metabolic mitochondrial dysfunction in the context of neurodegenerative *** provide an overview of the risk factors associated with developing neurodegenerative disorders,including genetic,epigenetic,and environmental fa ***,we examine pathological mechanisms implicated in these diseases such as oxidative stress,accumulation of misfolded proteins,inflammation,demyelination,death of neurons,insulin resistance,dysbiosis,and neurotransmitter ***,we outline a proposal for the restoration of mitochondrial metabolism,a crucial aspect that may hold the key to facilitating curative therapeutic interventions for neurodegenerative disorders in forthcoming advancements.

Delineation of groundwater potential zones using remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)in Kadaladi region,Southern India

The primary objective of this research is to delineate potential groundwater recharge zones in the Kadaladi taluk of Ramanathapuram,Tamil Nadu,India,using a combination of remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems(GIS)with the Analytical Hierarchical Process(AHP).Various factors such as geology,geomorphology,soil,drainage,density,lineament density,slope,rainfall were analyzed at a specific *** layers were evaluated for quality and relevance using Saaty's scale,and then inte-grated using the weighted linear combination *** weights assigned to each layer and features were standardized using AHP and the Eigen vector technique,resulting in the final groundwater potential zone *** AHP method was used to normalize the scores following the assignment of weights to each criterion or factor based on Saaty's 9-point ***-wise matrix analysis was utilized to calculate the geometric mean and normalized weight for various *** groundwater recharge potential zone map was created by mathematically overlaying the normalized weighted *** layers indicating major elements influencing groundwater occurrence and recharge were derived from satellite images.2 Results indicate that approximately 21.8 km of the total area exhibits high potential for groundwater *** recharge is viable in areas with moderate slopes,particularly in the central and southeastern regions.

Effect of Gd addition on the superconducting properties of Ti-based V, Nb, Ta alloys

The critical current density(Jc)of the body centered cubic(bcc)V0.6Ti0.4 alloy enhances significantly after the addition of rare earth Gd as the latter is immiscible in the matrix[***,***,IEEE ***.31,5(2021)].Very low solubility of Gd in other bcc elements like Ta and Nb is also well known[*** Gschneidner in Prog Sci Technol Rare Earths,vol.1,pp.222–258,1964&M Neuberger,*** in Handbook of Electronic Materials,Vol 4,1972].We use these facts to find the effect of adding 1 at.%Gd into the Nb0.6Ti0.4 and Ta0.4Ti0.6 alloys on the superconducting properties e.g.,the transition temperature(Tc),Jc,flux pinning force density(Fp)and the *** spite of Gd being ferromagnetic,the Tc in these alloys change only marginally(increase by 0.3 K in Ta0.4Ti0.6 and decrease by 0.15 K in Nb0.6Ti0.4 after Gd *** Jc(H?1 T,T=4 K)increases by 5 and 1.5 times respectively in the Gd containing Nb0.6Ti0.4 and Ta0.4Ti0.6 alloys,which is quite small as compared to the increase observed in the V0.6Ti0.4(20 times)*** Gd addition,the grain size reduces approximately by 65%and 10%respectively in Nb0.6Ti0.4 and *** analysis indicates that grain boundaries are the major flux line pinning centres in these alloys and the role of Gd in increasing the Jc depends on the effectiveness of Gd in reducing the grain *** grain boundary density depends strongly on the distribution of Gd precipitates,which is quite different from each other for two alloy systems under ***,our results suggest that the addition of Gd to commercial Nb‐Ti(Nb0.37Ti0.63)alloy is a new promising route for achieving higher Jc values.

Evaluation of Information Technology Implementation for Business Goal Improvement under Process Functionality in Economic Development

Improving organizational performance can be achieved through business process redesign (BPR). When it comes to modern work practices, organizations must often redesign their processes to keep up. This is where enterprise software comes in, offering a common data infrastructure that enables different parts of the organization to access all necessary financial data. The architecture of network accounting business process is divided into three layers. The core layer lies in the enterprise LAN that it can integrate six business processes information into one unity of financial information and non-financial information, including purchasing, inventory, production, sales, finance and customer service, and it can generate flexibly a variety of accounting statements to meet fully the information users’ demands by providing more complete and more valuable related information. The second layer lies in Intranet among enterprises based on the core layer that it can support the link of business processes and the inter-sharing of information among node enterprises of SCM and other external enterprises. The third layer lies in Internet based on the second layer that it can fit society, enterprise and individual together, the specific lays the solid foundation of business collaboration, remote management, online management and centralized management. The operating mechanisms of the network accounting business processes are as follows. When the business event occurs, the probe can get the event information in real-time and the result is stored in the database. Meanwhile, the drive controller can control the business events in real-time by gaining control criteria and standards from database. In case the standard is exceeded, the event is not allowed to occur. Enterprise’ business staff or external personnel can output automatically the required results through report tools if they had the reading authority. Internal States of Temperature Hysteresis in Shape Memory Alloys

We propose a thermodynamic theory that permits us to connect the size of the temperature hysteresis loop to the interfacial energy between martensite and austenite. The free energy is a function of four variables, viz. deformation of austenite, deformation of martensite, phase fraction and temperature. A diagonal line inside the hysteresis loop in the deformation-temperature diagram is identified as the line of unstable phase equilibrium. Upon reaching this line the phase mixture loses its (meta-)stability, and the transformation from one phase to the other should occur. The theoretical results are supported by experiments on NiTi and CuAlNi specimens.

Electrochemical characterization of Ni-Co and Ni-Co-Fe for oxidation of methyl alcohol fuel with high energetic catalytic surface

Non Pt based metals and alloys as electrode materials for methyl alcohol fuel cells have been investigated w ith an aim of finding high electrocatalytic surface property for the faster electrode *** w ere fabricated by electrodeposition on pure Al foil,from an electrolyte of Ni,Co,Fe *** optimum condition of electrodeposition w ere found out by a series of experiments,varying the chemistry of the electrolyte,pH valve,temperature,current and cell *** study of the coated Ni-Co or Ni-CoFe alloy on pure Al w as found to exhibit high exchange current density,indicating an improved electro catalytic surface w ith faster charge-discharge reactions at anode and cathode and low *** impedance studies on coated and uncoated surface clearly show ed that the polarization resistance and impedance w ere decreased by Ni-Co or Ni-Co-Fe coating.X-ray diffraction(XRD),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)and atomic absorption spectroscopy(AAS)studies confirmed the presence of alloying elements and constituents of the *** morphology of the deposits from scanning electron microscope(SEM)images indicated that the electrode surface w as a three dimensional space w hich increased the effective surface area for the electrode reactions to take place.
