This paper presents a hardware architecture using mixed pipeline and parallel processing for complex division based on dichotomous coordinate descent(DCD) iterations. The objective of the proposed work is to achieve low-latency and resource optimized complex divider architecture in adaptive weight computation stage of minimum variance distortionless response(mVDR)algorithm. In this work, computation of complex division is modeled as a 2×2 linear equation solution problem and the DCD algorithm allows linear systems of equations to be solved with high degree of computational efficiency. The operations in the existing DCD algorithm are suitably parallel pipelined and the performance is optimized to 2 clock cycles per iteration. To improve the degree of parallelism, a parallel column vector read architecture is *** proposed work is implemented on the field programmable gate array(FPGA) platform and the results are compared with state-of-art literature. It concludes that the proposed architecture is suitable for complex division in adaptive weight computation stage of mVDR beamformer. We demonstrate the performance of the proposed architecture for mVDR beamformer employed in medical ultrasound imaging applications.

In this work, the morphology, phase composition, and corrosion properties of microarc oxidized (mAO) gas tungsten arc (GTA) weldments of AZ31 alloy were investigated. Autogenous gas tungsten arc welds were made as full penetration bead-on-plate welding under the alternating-current mode. A uniform oxide layer was developed on the surface of the specimens with mAO treatment in silicate-based alkaline electrolytes for different oxidation times. The corrosion behavior of the samples was evaluated by potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The oxide film improved the corrosion resistance substantially compared to the uncoated specimens. The sample coated for 10 min exhibited better corrosion properties. The corrosion resistance of the coatings was concluded to strongly depend on the morphology, whereas the phase composition and thickness were concluded to only slightly affect the corrosion resistance.

Lignocellulosic substrates are a good carbon source and provide rich growth media for a variety of microorganisms which prodLuce industrially important enzymes. Cellulases are a group of hydrolytic enzymes such as filter paperase (FPase), carboxymethyl cellulase(CmCase) andβ-glucosidase-responsible for release of sugars in the bioconversion of the lignocellulosic biomass into a variety of value-added products. This study examined cellulase production by a newly isolated Aspergillus unguis on individual lignocellulosic substrates in solid state fermentation (SSF). The maximum peak production of enzymes varied from one substrate to another, however,based on the next best solid support and local availability of groundnut fodder supported maximum enzyme yields compared with other solid supports used in this *** fodder supported significant production of FPase (5.9 FPU/g of substrate), CmCase (1.1 U/g of substrate) andβ-glucosidase activity (6.5 U/g of substrate) in SSF. Considerable secretion of protein (27.0 mg/g of substrate) on groundnut fodder was recorded. Constant increment of protein content in groundnut fodder due to cultivation of A. unguis is an interesting observation and it has implications for the improvement of nutritive value of groundnut fodder for cattle.

This article deals with boundary layer analysis of magnetohydrodynamics on an unsteady chemically reactive micropolar rotating fluid flow past a semi-infinite vertical plate with been developed under Boussinesq *** governing partial differential equations are transformed into a set of coupled partial differential equations using suitable dimensionless *** resultant equations are solved numerically using variational finite element method.A parametric study illustrating the influence of different pertinent parameters is performed and the numerical results for translational velocity,microrotation velocity,temperature and concentration distributions near the boundary layers are discussed and presented graphically for the parametric ***,the skin-friction,wall couple stress,surface heat transfer and mass transfer rate dependency on the emerging thermo-physical parameters are also *** finite element code is benchmarked with the results reported in the literature to check the validity and accuracy under some limiting cases and excellent agreement with published solutions is achieved.

Purcell’s swimmer was proposed by E. m. Purcell to explain bacterial swimming motions. It has been proved experimentally that a swimmer of this kind is possible under inertial-less and high viscous environment. But we could not investigate all the aspects of this mechanism through experiments due to practical difficulties. The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) provides complementary methods to experimental fluid dynamics. In particular, these methods offer the means of testing theoretical advances for conditions unavailable experimentally. Using such methodology, we have investigated the fluid dynamics of force production associated with the Purcell’s swimmer. By employing dynamic mesh and user-defined functions, we have computed the transient flow around the swimmer for various stroke angles. Our simulations capture the bidirectional swimming property successfully and are in agreement with existing theoretical and experimental results. To our knowledge, this is the first CFD study which shows the fact that swimming direction depends on stroke angle. We also prove that for small flapping frequencies, swimming direction can also be altered by changing frequency-showing breakdown of Stokes law with inertia.

Structure, photocatalytic and antibacterial activity study of meso porous Ni and S co-doped TiO2 nano material under visible light irradiation

Undoped and Ni–S co-doped mesoporous TiO2 nano materials were synthesized by using sol–gel *** characteristic features of as prepared catalyst samples were investigated using various advanced spectroscopic and analytical *** characterization results of the samples revealed that all the samples exhibited anatase phase(XRD),decreasing band gap(2.68 eV)(UV–Vis-DRS),small particle size(9.2 nm)(TEm),high surface area(142.156 m^2·g^-1)(BET),particles with spherical shape and smooth morphology(SEm);there is a frequency shift observed for co-doped sample(FT-IR)and the elemental composition electronic states and position of the doped elements(Ni and S)in the TiO2 lattice analyzed by XPS and *** results supported the photocatalytic degradation of Bismarck Brown Red(BBR)achieved with in 110 min and also exhibited the antibacterial activity on Staphylococcus aureus(mTCC-3160),Pseudomonas fluorescence(mTCC-1688)under visible light irradiation.

Synthesis of novel 3-aryl-5-（3,5-dimethylisoxazol-4-yl）-2,3,5,6-tetrahydrobenzo[g][1,3,5],oxadiazocine-4-thiones 5 has been accomplished from 3,5-dimethylisoxazol-4-amine 1 by condensation with salicylaldehydes, followed by reduction, treatment with aryl isothiocyanates and subsequent smooth ring closure via acetal formation in the presence of formaldehyde.

In this paper, we have applied the Lie algebraic model to nano-bio molecules to determine the vibrational spectra of different stretching and bending vibrational modes. The determined vibrational energy levels by the Lie algebraic model are compared with the experimental data. The results from the theoretical mode[ are consistent with the experimental data. The vibrational energy levels are clustering in the excited states.
