Variant graphene,graphene oxides(GO),and graphene nanoplatelets(GNP)dispersed in blood-based copper(Cu)nanoliquids over a leaning permeable cylinder are the focus of this study.These forms of graphene are highly beneficial in the biological and medical fields for cancer therapy,anti-infection measures,and drug delivery.The non-Newtonian Sutterby(blood-based)hybrid nanoliquid flows are generalized within the context of the Tiwari-Das model to simulate the effects of radiation and heating sources.The governing partial differential equations are reformulated into a nonlinear set of ordinary differential equations using similar transformational expressions.These equations are then transformed into boundary value problems through a shooting technique,followed by the implementation of the bvp4c tool in MATLAB.The influences of various parameters on the model’s nondimensional velocity and temperature profiles,reduced skin friction,and reduced Nusselt number are presented for detailed discussions.The results indicated that Cu-GNP/blood and Cu-GO/blood hybrid nanofluids exhibit the lowest and highest velocity distributions,respectively,for increased nanoparticles volume fraction,curvature parameter,Sutterby fluid parameter,Hartmann number,and wall permeability parameter.Conversely,opposite trends are observed for the temperature distribution for all considered parameters,except the mixed convection parameter.Increases in the reduced skin friction magnitude and the reduced Nusselt number with higher values of graphene/GO/GNP nanoparticle volume fraction are also reported.Finally,GNP is identified as the superior heat conductor,with an average increase of approximately 5%and a peak of 7.8%in the reduced Nusselt number compared to graphene and GO nanoparticles in the Cu/blood nanofluids.

Single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of the retina under acute high intraocular pressure

High intraocular pressure causes retinal ganglion cell injury in primary and secondary glaucoma diseases,yet the molecular landscape characteristics of retinal cells under high intraocular pressure remain unknown.Rat models of acute hypertension ocular pressure were established by injection of cross-linked hyaluronic acid hydrogel(Healaflow■).Single-cell RNA sequencing was then used to describe the cellular composition and molecular profile of the retina following high intraocular pressure.Our results identified a total of 12 cell types,namely retinal pigment epithelial cells,rod-photoreceptor cells,bipolar cells,Müller cells,microglia,cone-photoreceptor cells,retinal ganglion cells,endothelial cells,retinal progenitor cells,oligodendrocytes,pericytes,and fibroblasts.The single-cell RNA sequencing analysis of the retina under acute high intraocular pressure revealed obvious changes in the proportions of various retinal cells,with ganglion cells decreased by 23%.Hematoxylin and eosin staining and TUNEL staining confirmed the damage to retinal ganglion cells under high intraocular pressure.We extracted data from retinal ganglion cells and analyzed the retinal ganglion cell cluster with the most distinct expression.We found upregulation of the B3gat2 gene,which is associated with neuronal migration and adhesion,and downregulation of the Tsc22d gene,which participates in inhibition of inflammation.This study is the first to reveal molecular changes and intercellular interactions in the retina under high intraocular pressure.These data contribute to understanding of the molecular mechanism of retinal injury induced by high intraocular pressure and will benefit the development of novel therapies.

Population growth,waste generation,and massive waste mismanagement have led to environmental catastrophe.Management of municipal solid waste(MSW)requires an efficient and sustainable integrated system.The integrated thermal processing of MSW is one of the best waste management techniques.In this study,energy analysis of MSW is carried out based on the material and energy balance of 2000 kg wet MSW,which contains 50%leachate.Once the leachate is removed,the dry MSW is sent for carbon content enhancement in carbonization to produce MSW-based char.Thereafter,the combustion of MSW-based char provided high heat and syngas to be used in a hydrothermal process for MSW leachate treatment.The result shows that the char fuel of MSW produces a sufficient amount of energy,13501.29 MJ(84.55%),in the form of synthetic gas by-product,which has a big potential as an energy source.The novelty of the proposed integrated thermal system is to produce 84.55%synthetic gas by-product,which is used for electricity production,cooking,food,and heat energy for industrial purposes.The proposed applications of this paper offer insightful information for policymaking regarding novel MSW techniques,which are economical,energy-efficient,and environmentally friendly.Thus,it increases the effectiveness of MSW utilization.

Unusual Presentation of Heart Failure Secondary to Ruptured Aneurysmal Sinus of Valsalva: A Case Report

Sinus of Valsalva Aneurysm (SOVA) arises from an abnormal dilation of the aortic root, leading to enlargement between the aortic annulus and the sinotubular junction. Although often presenting without symptoms, these aneurysms bear the potential for life-threatening complications, primarily from the looming risk of rupture. We present the case of a 42-year-old Malay gentleman with a history of bilateral pedal edema and dyspnea on exertion who was diagnosed with a ruptured sinus of Valsalva aneurysm. The patient underwent successful surgical repair of the aneurysm, leading to symptomatic improvement and favorable outcomes. This case highlights the importance of early diagnosis and prompt surgical intervention in managing this uncommon condition.

Objective:To determine the distribution,phenotypic and genetic background of extended spectrumβ-lactamases(ESBL)-producing Klebsiella(K.)pneumoniae clinical isolates associated with K1 and K2 serotypes in two selected hospitals in Malaysia.Methods:A total of 192 K.pneumoniae isolates were collected and subjected to antibiotic susceptibility,hypermucoviscosity test and multiplex PCR to detect the presence of K1-and K2-serotype associated genes.Multilocus sequence typing(MLST)was performed on ESBL-producing K.pneumoniae isolates presented with K1 and K2 serotypes,followed by phylogenetic analysis.Results:A total of 87 out of 192(45.3%)of the K.pneumoniae isolates collected were ESBL producers.However,only 8.3%(16/192)and 10.9%(21/192)of the total isolates were detected to carry K1-and K2-serotype associated genes,respectively.Statistical analysis showed that K1 and K2 capsular serotypes were not significantly associated with ESBL phenotype(P=0.196).However,they were significantly associated with hypervirulent,as demonstrated by the positive string test(P<0.001).MLST analysis revealed that ST23 as the predominant sequence type(ST)in the K1 serotype,while the ST in the K2 serotype is more diverse.Conclusions:Although the occurrence of ESBL-producing isolates among the hypervirulent strains was low,their coexistence warrants the need for continuous surveillance.MLST showed that these isolates were genetically heterogeneous.

Life Threatening Stridor Due to Primary Laryngeal Tuberculosis

Tuberculosis is a potentially serious infectious disease. In otorhinolaryngology practice, lymph node infection is the most common site of predilection followed by the larynx. Laryngeal tuberculosis (LTB) typically presents with dysphagia, odynophagia and hoarseness. We reported a case of primary LTB presenting with acute upper airway obstruction and respiratory distress mimicking acute supraglottitis which requires emergency tracheostomy. Therefore, in acute upper airway obstruction, the appropriate initial investigation should be done to rule out TB to make sure early treatment can be given and it may prevent complications of disease to the patient. .

Global warming has increased people’s awareness of environmental protection and social responsibility,which is also reflected in the way they invest,with environmental,social and corporate governance aspects starting to receive more attention.The purpose of this study is to investigate how environmental,social,and governance(ESG)performance,as measured by ESG risk assessment,affects corporate value.The population of this study consists of his 90 companies registered in his IDXESGL using a sampling method based on purposive sampling,and the total sample includes his 60 companies.The data analysis method used is a simple linear regression test.The findings of this study show that ESG risk assessment influences corporate value.

Introduction: Acromioclavicular (AC) joint dislocation is a common shoulder injury, comprising 9% - 12% of shoulder girdle injuries. Optimal management remains challenging, with treatment decisions guided by the Rockwood classification system. Controversies surround grade III injuries, necessitating further classification. Non-operative treatment has shown favorable outcomes, while surgical interventions vary. Anatomical coracoclavicular reconstruction (ACCR) has demonstrated biomechanical advantages over traditional methods. Arthroscopic techniques offer advantages, minimizing deltoid detachment and allowing concurrent pathology identification. This study evaluates the outcomes of arthroscopic-assisted ACCR in chronic AC joint dislocation. Surgical Technique: Arthroscopic-assisted ACCR involves meticulous portal placement, tendon graft harvesting, diagnostic arthroscopy, and coracoid exposure. The clavicle tunnels were made to mimic the conoid and trapezoid ligament positions, using FibreTape#2 loop and Dog Bone Button for correct placement against the coracoid base, and passing the semitendinosus graft through to reconstruct the conoid ligament, reduction done and graft follow through for anatomical reconstruction. Methods: A retrospective cohort study at Hospital Kuala Lumpur analyzed 35 patients undergoing arthroscopic-assisted ACCR for Rockwood grade III - V AC joint dislocations. Inclusion criteria encompassed trauma ≥ 3 weeks prior, no prior shoulder injuries, and ≥12-month follow-up. Functional and radiological assessments utilized ASES scores and coracoclavicular distances, respectively. Statistical analysis employed descriptive statistics and logistic regression. Results: The mean age was 38.9 years (SD 11.26), and 34 of 35 patients were male. Grade IV injuries were predominant (37.1%). Waiting time for surgery averaged 234.9 days. Functional improvement was substantial postoperatively (ASES: 55.5 to 88.9). Radiological outcomes demonstrated reduced coracoclavicular distances and maintained reduction. N

Automatic Diagnosis of COVID-19 Patients from Unstructured Data Based on a Novel Weighting Scheme

The extraction of features fromunstructured clinical data of Covid-19 patients is critical for guiding clinical decision-making and diagnosing this viral disease.Furthermore,an early and accurate diagnosis of COVID-19 can reduce the burden on healthcare systems.In this paper,an improved Term Weighting technique combined with Parts-Of-Speech(POS)Tagging is proposed to reduce dimensions for automatic and effective classification of clinical text related to Covid-19 disease.Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency(TF-IDF)is the most often used term weighting scheme(TWS).However,TF-IDF has several developments to improve its drawbacks,in particular,it is not efficient enough to classify text by assigning effective weights to the terms in unstructured data.In this research,we proposed a modification term weighting scheme:RTF-C-IEF and compare the proposed model with four extraction methods:TF,TF-IDF,TF-IHF,and TF-IEF.The experiment was conducted on two new datasets for COVID-19 patients.The first datasetwas collected from government hospitals in Iraq with 3053 clinical records,and the second dataset with 1446 clinical reports,was collected from several different websites.Based on the experimental results using several popular classifiers applied to the datasets of Covid-19,we observe that the proposed scheme RTF-C-IEF achieves is a consistent performer with the best scores in most of the experiments.Further,the modifiedRTF-C-IEF proposed in the study outperformed the original scheme and other employed term weighting methods in most experiments.Thus,the proper selection of term weighting scheme among the different methods improves the performance of the classifier and helps to find the informative term.
