Polyhydroxyurethanes(PHUs)have received considerable attention in the last decade as potential alternatives to traditional phosgene-based polyurethanes(PUs).The development of suitable 5CC(five membered-ring cyclic carbonate)precursors bearing multiple carbonate moieties(multi-5CCs)is a key requisite for preparing PHUs by polyaddition reaction with bis-or *** sustainable PHUs from Co_(2)-based five-membered cyclic carbonates(5CCs)obtained from biobased epoxides is a valuable strategy to bridge Co_(2) utilization and the upcycling of renewable *** this context,while many multi-5CC monomers reported in the literature are oil-based,recent efforts have led to the development of a large variety of multifunctional 5CCs that are produced by the combination of Co_(2) and renewable resources such as fatty acids and vegetable oils,lignin,terpenes,and *** this work,recent crucial advances(2019—2023)on PHUs prepared from bis-and multi-5CCs produced from Co_(2) and(partially/potentially)biobased substrates are reviewed with respect to their synthesis,thermal and mechanical properties,and their recent,emerging applications.

Behavior is predicted to be a primary determinant of the success of the invasion process during the early phases of *** invaders with sympatric native species may provide a good approach to unravel behavioral traits involved in an invasion *** this study,we carried out an experimental simulation of the introduction and the acclimatization phase into a new environment and assessed the expression of activity,alertness,and habituation in an invasive Mediterranean population of the South African nudibranch Godiva quadricolor comparing its profles with those of the sympatric Mediterranean native nudibranchs Cratena peregrina and Caloria *** of these 3 species were subjected to 3 behavioral tests:spontaneous activity,carried out in the introduction phase(immediately after sampling)and after a week of acclimatization;alert test,in which a potential threat was simulated by means of a tactile stimulus,and habituation test,in which the same alert test stimulus was repeated 5 times at 30-min *** invasive *** showed higher levels of exploration activity,thigmotaxis,alertness,and sensitization than the native *** behavioral traits may represent pivotal drivers of the ongoing invasion process.

The recent systematic review and meta-analysis provided a comprehensive focus on the current state of cardiac resynchronization therapy(CRT).The authors determined the feasibility of physiological left bundle branch area pacing(LBBAP)in patients indicated for CRT through a careful analysis of *** found that LBBAP was associated with significant reductions in QRS duration,New York Heart Association functional class,B-type natriuretic peptide levels,and pacing thresholds as well as improvements in echocardiographic parameters compared to biventricular pacing.

Myeloproliferative neoplasms(MPN)are a group of diseases characterized by the clonal proliferation of hematopoietic progenitor or stem *** are clinically classifiable into four main diseases:chronic myeloid leukemia,essential thrombocythemia,polycythemia vera,and primary *** pathologies are closely related to cardio-and cerebrovascular diseases due to the increased risk of arterial thrombosis,the most common underlying cause of acute myocardial *** evidence shows that the classical Virchow triad(hypercoagulability,blood stasis,endothelial injury)might offer an explanation for such ***,patients with MPN might have a higher number and more reactive circulating platelets and leukocytes,a tendency toward blood stasis because of a high number of circulating red blood cells,endothelial injury or overactivation as a consequence of sustained inflammation caused by the neoplastic clonal *** abnormal cancer cells,especially when associated with the JAK2V617F mutation,tend to proliferate and secrete several inflammatory *** sustains a pro-inflammatory state throughout the *** direct consequence is the induction of a pro-thrombotic state that acts as a determinant in favoring both venous and arterial thrombus ***,MPN patients need to be carefully evaluated to be treated not only with cytoreductive treatments but also with cardiovascular protective strategies.

Screw conveyors are widely used for bulk material *** study investigates the critical role of radial clearance,the gap between the screw and the conveyor body,on performance across various inclination *** Discrete Element Method(DEM)is employed to analyze the effects of different radial clearances on conveyor performance for concrete aggregate and sand as bulk *** efficiencies and capacity losses serve as key performance indicators,quantitatively assessed for each radial clearance and inclination *** validation is conducted to corroborate the *** the study,the optimal radial clearance was identified as 1.5 to 3 times of the particle *** optimal clearance minimizes the material jamming and increases the performance for screw conveyors with different inclinations and bulk material types as a result.
