Age-related macular degeneration（AMD） is a leading cause of blindness and is becoming a global crisis since affected people will increase to 288 million by ***,age,diabetes,gender,obesity,hypertension,race,hyperopia,iris-color,smoking,sun-light and pyroptosis have varying roles in AMD,but oxidative stress-induced inflammation remains a significant driver of *** is a unique organ as it contains a remarkable oxygengradient that generates reactive oxygen species（ROs） which upregulates inflammatory *** becomes a source of functional and morphological impairments in retinal pigment epithelium（RPE）,endothelial cells and retinal ganglion *** demonstrated that hydrogen sulfide（H2s） acts as a signaling molecule and that it may treat ***,we propose a novel hypothesis that H2s may restore homeostasis in the eyes thereby reducing damage caused by oxidative injury and *** H_2s has been shown to be a powerful antioxidant because of its free-radicals＇ inhibition properties in addition to its beneficial effects in age-relatedconditions,therefore,patients may benefit from H2s salubrious effects not only by minimizing their oxidant and inflammatory injuries to retina but also by lowering retinal glutamate excitotoxicity.

Electron beam welding of precipitation hardened CuCrZr alloy:Modeling and experimentation

In order to maintain the structural consistency during the welding of precipitation hardened copperchromium-zirconium(PH-CuCrZr)alloy components,electron beam welding(EBW)process was *** study and numerical modeling of EBW process during welding of PH-CuCrZr alloy components were carried out.A 3D finite element model was developed to predict the output responses(bead penetration and bead width)as a function of EBW input parameters(beam current,acceleration voltage and weld speed).A combined circular and conical source with Gaussian heat distribution was used to model the deep penetration characteristic of the EBW *** modeling was carried out by developing user defined function in Ansys *** predictions were compared with the experimental results which had a good agreement with each *** developed model can be used for parametric study in wide range of problems involving complex geometries which are to be welded using EBW *** present work illustrates that the input current with a contribution of 44.56%and 81.13%is the most significant input parameter for the bead penetration and bead width,respectively.

Using Machine Learning to Develop a Fully Automated soybean Nodule Acquisition Pipeline(sNAP)

Nodules form on plant roots through the symbiotic relationship between soybean(Glycine max ***.)roots and bacteria(Bradyrhizobium japonicum)and are an important structure where atmospheric nitrogen(N2)is fixed into bioavailable ammonia(NH3)for plant growth and *** quantification on soybean roots is a laborious and tedious task;therefore,assessment is frequently done on a numerical scale that allows for rapid phenotyping,but is less informative and suffers from *** report the soybean Nodule Acquisition Pipeline(sNAP)for nodule quantification that combines RetinaNet and UNet deep learning architectures for object(i.e.,nodule)detection and *** was built using data from 691 unique roots from diverse soybean genotypes,vegetative growth stages,and field locations and has a good model fit(R2=0:99).sNAP reduces the human labor and inconsistencies of counting nodules,while acquiring quantifiable traits related to nodule growth,location,and distribution on *** ability of sNAP to phenotype nodules on soybean roots at a higher throughput enables researchers to assess the genetic and environmental factors,and their interactions on nodulation from an early development *** application of sNAP in research and breeding pipelines may lead to more nitrogen use efficiency for soybean and other legume species cultivars,as well as enhanced insight into the plant-Bradyrhizobium relationship.

Deep convolutional neural network models for weed detection in polyhouse grown bell peppers

Conventional weed management approaches are inefficient and non-suitable for integration with smart agricultural *** identification and classification of weeds can play a vital role in weed management contributing to better crop *** and smart spot-spraying system's efficiency relies on the accuracy of the computer vision based detectors for autonomous weed *** the present study,feasibility of deep learning based techniques(Alexnet,GoogLeNet,InceptionV3,Xception)were evaluated in weed identification from RGB images of bell pepper *** models were trained with different values of epochs(10,20,30),batch sizes(16,32),and hyperparameters were tuned to get optimal *** overall accuracy of the selected models varied from 94.5 to 97.7%.Among the models,InceptionV3 exhibited superior performance at 30-epoch and 16-batch size with a 97.7%accuracy,98.5%precision,and 97.8%*** this Inception3 model,the type 1 error was obtained as 1.4%and type II error was 0.9%.The effectiveness of the deep learning model presents a clear path towards integrating them with image-based herbicide applicators for precise weed management.

Wastewater treatment using Fe-doped perovskite manganites by photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange,crystal violet and indigo carmine dyes in tungsten bulb/sunlight

Comparative response of seedlings of selected native dry tropical and alien invasive species to CO_(2) enrichment

Global climate change and ongoing plant invasion are the two prominent ecological issues threatening biodiversity world *** invasive species,Lantana camara and Hyptis suaveolens are the two most important invaders in the dry deciduous forest in *** monitored the growth of these two invasive species and seedlings of four native dry deciduous species(Acacia catechu,Bauhinia variegata,Dalbergia latifolia and Tectona grandis)under ambient(375–395μmol mol^(-1))and elevated CO_(2)(700–750μmol mol^(-1))to study the differential growth response of invasive and native *** seedlings of all the species were exposed to ambient and elevated CO_(2).After 60 days of exposure,seedlings were harvested and all the growth-related parameters like plant height;biomass of root,stem and leaves;total seedling biomass;R/s ratio;allocation parameters;net assimilation rate(NAR)and relative growth rate(RGR)were *** Findings Biomass,RGR and NAR of all the species increased under elevated CO_(2)but the increase was higher in invasive species and they formed larger seedlings than *** under the CO_(2)-enriched future atmosphere,competitive hierarchies could change and may interfere with the species composition of the invaded area.

We investigate the quasi-exact solutions of the schrodinger wave equation for two-dimensional non-hermitian complex Hamiltonian systems within the frame work of an extended complex phase space characterized by x = x1 ＋ ip3, y = x2 ＋ ip4, px= p1＋ ix3, py= p2 ＋ ix4. Explicit expressions of the energy eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions for ground and first excited states for a complex quartic potential are obtained. Eigenvalue spectra of some variants of the complex quartic potential, including PT-symmetrie one, are also worked out.

Composition, structure and diversity characterization of dry tropical forest of Chhattisgarh using satellite data

The purpose of this study was to characterize the land use, vegetation structure, and diversity in the Barnowpara sanctuary, Raipur district, Chhattisgarh, India through the use of satellite remote sensing and GIs. Land cover and vegetation were spatially analyzed by digitally classifying IRs 1D LIss III satellite data using a maximum likelihood algorithm. Later, the variations in structure and diversity in different forest types and classes were quantified by adopting quadratic sampling proce- dures. Nine land-cover types were delineated： teak forest, dense mixed forest, degraded mixed forest, sal mixed forest, open mixed forest, young teak plantation, grasslands, agriculture, habitation, and water bodies. The classification accuracy for different land-use classes ranged from 71.23% to 100%. The highest accuracy was observed in water bodies and grass- land, followed by habitation and agriculture, teak forest, degraded mixed forest, and dense mixed forest. The accuracy was lower in open mixed forest, and sal mixed forest. Results revealed that density of different forest types varied from 324 to 733 trees ha-l, basal area from 8.13 to 28.87 ***-1 and number of species from 20 to 40. similarly, the diversity ranged from 1.36 to 2.98, concentration of dominance from 0.06 to 0.49, species richness from 3.88 to 6.86, and beta diversity from 1.29 to 2.21. The sal mixed forest type recorded the highest basal area, diversity was highest in the dense mixed forest, and the teak forest recorded maximum density, which was poor in degraded mixed forests. The study also showed that Normalized Difference Vegetation Index （NDVI） was strongly cor- related to with the shannon Index and species richness.
