Introduction:This study investigated factors affecting farmers’participation in watershed management programs in the Northeastern highlands of Ethiopia by taking the Teleyayen sub-watershed as a case *** were collected from 215 farm households which were selected from the four villages using a multistage sampling procedure,involving a combination of purposive and random *** were gathered using a structured survey questionnaire,focus group discussion,and key informant *** analysis,Pearson correlation analysis,and regression analysis were employed to analyze the ***:Findings of this study showed that farmer’s perception has a strong positive correlation(r=0.612,P=0.000)with the farmer’s decision to participate in the watershed management programs followed by government support(r=0.163,P=0.017),while the slope of the farmland and the gender of the household head have shown significant and negative *** binary logistic regression analysis also revealed that six independent variables were significant in explaining the factors affecting the farmers’decision to participate in watershed management *** variables were land redistribution,gender,agricultural labor force,extension service,farm size,and *** these,land redistribution,gender,agricultural labor force,extension service,and slope of the farmland indicated a negative influence,while farm size of a household exerted a positive *** study also examined the role of discrete variables in explaining variations of variables in affecting the farmers’decision to participate in the ***,two variables found to be *** variables are the gender of the household head and land tenure ***,the chi-square result of the variable(χ^(2)=9.052)of gender was found to be statistically significant at the 95%level of ***,the chi-square result(X^(2)=8.792)of land tenure security was found to be statistically

Recently, study in past trends of climate variables gained significant consideration because of its contribution in adaptions and mitigation strategies for potential future changes in climate, primarily in the area of water resource management. Future interannual and inter-seasonal variations in maximum and minimum temperature may bring significant changes in hydrological systems and affect regional water resources. The present study has been performed to observe past(1970-2010) as well as future(2011-2100)spatial and temporal variability in temperature(maximum and minimum) over selected stations of sutlej basin located in North-Western Himalayan region in India. The generation of future time series of temperature data at different stations is done using statistical downscaling technique. The nonparametric test methods, modified Mann-kendall test and Cumulative sum chart are used for detecting monotonic trend and sequential shift in time series of maximum and minimum temperature. sen's slope estimator test is used to detect the magnitude of change over a period of time on annual and seasonal basis. The cooling experienced in annual TMax and TMin at kasol in past(1970-2010) would be replaced by warming in future as increasing trends are detected in TMax during 2020 s and 2050 s and in TMin during 2020 s, 2050 s and 2080 s under A1 B and A2 scenarios. similar results of warming are also predicted at sunnifor annual TMin in future under both scenarios which witnessed cooling during 1970-2010. The rise in TMin at Rampur is predicted to be continued in future as increasing trends are obtained under both the scenarios. seasonal trend analysis reveals large variability in trends of TMax and TMin over these stations for the future periods.

Deep wellbores/boreholes are generally drilled into rocks for oil and gas exploration,monitoring of tectonic stresses *** and tunnel in depth are generally in true triaxial stress state,even if the ground is under axisymmetric loading *** of such wellbores is very critical and collapse of wellbore must be ***-Coulomb failure criterion is a better representation of rock strength under true triaxial *** this paper,an analytical solution is proposed using Mogi-Coulomb failure *** solution is obtained for rock mass exhibiting elastic-perfectly plastic or elastic-brittle-plastic behaviour considering in-plane isotropic *** proposed solution is then compared with exact analytical solution for incompressible material and experimental results of thickwall *** is shown that the results obtained by the proposed analytical solution are in good agreement with the experimental results and exact analytical solution.A reduction of about 13%e20%in plastic zone from the proposed closed-form solution is observed,as compared to the results from the finite element method(FEM)based Mohr-Coulomb ***,the influences of various parameters such as Poisson’s ratio,internal pressure(mud weight),dilation angle,and out-of-plane stress are studied in terms of stress and deformation responses of *** results of the parametric study reveal that variation in the out-of-plane stress has an inverse relation with the radius of plastic ***’s ratio does not have an appreciable influence on the tangential stress,radial stress and radial *** angle has a direct relation with the *** pressure is found to have an inverse relation with the radial deformation and the radius of plastic zone.

As cloud computing usage grows,cloud data centers play an increasingly important *** maximize resource utilization,ensure service quality,and enhance system performance,it is crucial to allocate tasks and manage performance *** purpose of this study is to provide an extensive analysis of task allocation and performance management techniques employed in cloud data *** aim is to systematically categorize and organize previous research by identifying the cloud computing methodologies,categories,and gaps.A literature review was conducted,which included the analysis of 463 task allocations and 480 performance management *** review revealed three task allocation research topics and seven performance management *** allocation research areas are resource allocation,load-Balancing,and *** management includes monitoring and control,power and energy management,resource utilization optimization,quality of service management,fault management,virtual machine management,and network *** study proposes new techniques to enhance cloud computing work allocation and performance ***-comings in each approach can guide future *** research’s findings on cloud data center task allocation and performance management can assist academics,practitioners,and cloud service providers in optimizing their systems for dependability,cost-effectiveness,and *** methodologies can steer future research to fill gaps in the literature.

To elucidate the potential and sensitivity of cirradiation in Pongamia pinnata,the present study has been done by irradiating the air-dried seeds to differentγ-irradiation doses(100 Gy,200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy),using 60Co *** increase(p≤0.05)in the germination,growth,and vigor was recorded under the100 Gy treatment than the control *** chlorophylla and total chlorophyll content(mgg-1 FW)in the leaves of *** showed a significant decrease under the higher irradiation treatments(200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy).In contrast,chlorophyllb showed a radio-resistance up to 200 Gy dose,and above which its concentration declined significantly(p≤0.05).Photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,intercellular CO2 concentration,and transpiration rate were stimulated by 100 Gy irradiation treatment and the higher doses inhibited these *** activity in the leaves of *** tended to increase after irradiation in a dose-dependent *** the plants under different treatments ofγ-irradiation showed stimulation in production of proline,flavonoid,and phenolic content in comparision to the *** findings of the present study showed thatγ-irradiation treatment stimulates the secondary metabolite production(proline,flavonoid and phenolic)and favours faster growth of ***.

In this paper, numerical solutions of the stochastic Fisher equation have been obtained by using a semi-implicit finite difference scheme. The samples for the Wiener process have been obtained from cylindrical Wiener process and Q-Wiener process. stability and convergence of the proposed finite difference scheme have been discussed scrupulously. The sample paths obtained from cylindrical Wiener process and Q-Wiener process have also been shown graphically.
