This paper presents the generation of kinetic Alfv én wave(KAW) coherent structures of magnetic filaments applicable to solar wind at 1 AU,when the background plasma density is modified by parallel ponderomotive force and Joule *** inhomogeneity in the magnetic field,which was included as a perturbation in the transverse direction of the magnetic field,takes energy from the main pump KAWs and generates the filamentary *** the intensity is high enough,the filaments are broken down and the energy initially confined to low wavenumbers is redistributed to higher wavenumbers,leading to cascades of energy at small scales less than the ion acoustic gyroradius or comparable to electron *** magnetic field spectral profile is generated from the numerical simulation results,and its dependence on different directions of the wavevector and initial conditions of the simulation representing the transverse magnetic field inhomogeneity is *** relevance of these results with other spacecraft observations and measurements is also pointed out.

Celiac disease(CeD)is a chronic gluten-induced enteropathy with plethoric *** typical manifestations of CeD such as chronic diarrhea and malabsorption are widely recognized,however,many patients have atypical manifestations like iron deficiency anemia,idiopathic short stature,hypertransaminesemia or infertility,*** patients often present to the primary care physicians and/or non-gastrointestinal ***,due to a lack of awareness among the healthcare professionals about the various atypical manifestations,many patients are not screened for *** this review,we have summarized the available literature about the prevalence of CeD in various gastrointestinal(chronic diarrhea)and non-gastrointestinal conditions(iron deficiency anemia,short stature,cryptogenic hypertransaminesemia,cryptogenic cirrhosis or idiopathic ataxia etc.)where the diagnosis of CeD should be *** addition,we also discuss special scenarios where screening for CeD should be considered even in absence of symptoms such as patients with type 1 diabetes,Down’s syndrome,and first-degree relatives of patients with ***,we discuss the diagnostic performance and limitations of various screening tests for CeD such as IgA anti-tissue transglutaminase antibodies,antiendomysial antibodies and anti-deamidated gliadin *** on the current recommendations,we propose a diagnostic algorithm for patients with suspected CeD.

The montane forests of Garhwal Himalaya were investigated for tree species composition and diversity in relation to environmental and edaphic variables.A stratified random sampling approach was adopted to collect the field data from each forest.A total of 39 tree species belonging to 31 genera and 23 families were recorded from the sampling area(6 forest stands ×10 plots in each).Lauraceae with 5 species was the largest family while Quercus(4 species) emerged as the largest ***-area curve(asymptote) predicted more species than the observed number of *** analysis has shown that the two Abies pindrow dominant forest stands had the highest similarity in tree species *** tree stem density ranged from 540-1170 ha-1,basal area 23.01-55.94 m^2 ha-1,ShannonWiener diversity index 1.69-2.49,evenness index0.42-0.74,beta diversity 0.40-0.82 and similarity index 0.17-0.54 in the six studied ***-way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN) identified four distinct tree communities in the study area with Daphniphyllum himalayense,Abies pindrow,Quercus oblongata,and Pinus roxburghii as indicator species of corresponding *** correspondence analysis(CCA) ascertained the TWINSPAN results and revealed the relation of tree species with environmental and edaphic *** phytosociological attributes of tree species varied from one forest stand to another;however,the tree species richness,density,and diversity peaked at intermediate elevation on the north *** reveal that tree composition and diversity in the montane forests of Garhwal Himalaya are influenced by both environmental(elevation and slope aspect)and soil variables(texture,water holding capacity,moisture content,available N,exchangeable P,and pH).This study will help in understanding the forest distribution across the western Himalaya,guiding the conservationists and policymakers in carrying out conservation-related management activities,designing the long-

Novel synthesis and characterization of CuO nanomaterials:Biological applications

Active endogenous metabolites regulate the viability of cells. This process is controlled by a series ofinteractions between small metabolites and large proteins. Previously, several studies had reported thatmetabolite regulates the protein functions, such as diacylglycerol to protein kinase C, lactose regulationof the lac repressor, and HIF-1α stabilization by 2-hydroxyglutarate. However, decades old traditionalbiochemical methods are insufficient to systematically investigate the bio-molecular reactions for a high-throughput discovery. Here, we have reviewed an update on the recently developed chemical proteomicscalled activity-based protein profiling （ABPP）. ABPP is able to identify proteins interacted eithercovalently or non-covalently with metabolites significantly. Thus, ABPP will facilitate the characteriza-tion of specific metabolite regulating; proteins in human disease progression.

Kinnow mandarin is a high value citrus crop in the fruit industry. However, the fruits are vulnerable to a variety of phytopathogens and suffer huge quantitative and qualitative losses. Pathogenic filamentous fungi like Penicillium digitatum, Penicillium italicum, and Geotrichum candidum are mainly responsible for postharvest losses. Alternative to synthetic fungicides, the bacteria and yeast-based biocontrol approaches are the most efficient means for controlling postharvest diseases. The antagonistic potential of five biocontrol agents such as Debaryomyces hansenii, Lactobacillus plantarum, Metschnikowia pulcherima, Pichia guilliermondi and Rhodotorula minuta var. minuta was assessed under both in vitro and in vivo conditions against the mycelial growth of postharvest pathogens using dual culture method. The results revealed that R. minuta var. minuta was the most promising antagonist with 71.98%, 76.18% and 67.46% mean mycelial growth inhibition of P. digitatum, P. italicum and G. candidum respectively, over untreated potato dextrose agar (PDA) plates after 192 h of incubation under in vitro. Further, under in vivo, the fruits treated with R. minuta var. minuta did not impair the quality and sensory attributes during ambient storage. Hence, R. minuta var. minuta proved an eco-friendly and safer substitute to synthetic fungicides for postharvest disease management of Kinnow mandarin fruits.

Correlation between hypertension and hyperglycemia among young adults in India

AIM: To assess the correlation between blood pressure levels and fasting plasma glucose levels among young adults attending Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur, ***: The present study was cross-sectional in nature, conducted among students in the Institute of Paramedical Sciences, Chatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur. Study subjects included 185 young adults. Among them, 94 were males and 91 were females, in the age group 17 to 19 ***: Mean age among males was 18.5 ± 1.5 years and among females was 17.9 ± 1.8 years. Of the total 185 study subjects, 61(32.9%) were classified as pre-diabetic and 20(10.8%) as pre-hypertensive. Mean waist circumference, systolic blood pressure and serum high density lipoprotein did not vary significantly between normoglycemic and pre-diabetic subjects. However, the mean diastolic blood pressure of pre-diabetics(82 ± 5 mm Hg) was significantly higher than normoglycemics(79 ± 6 mm Hg). Mean serum cholesterol, serum triglycerides, serum low density lipoprotein(LDL) and serum very low density lipoprotein was also higher among pre-diabetic subjects in comparison to normoglycemic subjects and the difference was statistically significant. Upon multiple linear regression analysis, it was observed that body mass index(BMI)(β = 0.149), diastolic blood pressure(β = 0.375) and serum LDL(β = 0.483) were significantly associated with fasting plasma glucose. Multiple linear regression with diastolic blood pressure as the outcome variable showed that BMI(β = 0.219), fasting blood glucose(β = 0.247) and systolic blood pressure(β = 0.510) were significantly ***: A significant prevalence of pre-diabetes and pre-hypertension in young adults is a matter of concern therefore all young adults need to be targeted for screening of diabetes and hypertension and lifestyle modification.
