salt-tolerant plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria （PGPR） can play an important role in alleviating soil salinity stress during plant growth and bacterial exopolysaccharide （EPs） can also help to mitigate salinity stress by reducing the content of Na＋ available for plant uptake. In this study, native bacterial strains of wheat rhizosphere in soils of Varanasi, India, were screened to identify the EPs-producing salt-tolerant rhizobacteria with plant growth-promoting traits. The various rhizobacteria strains were isolated and identified using 16s rDNA sequencing. The plant growth-promoting effect of inoculation of seedlings with these bacterial strains was evaluated under soil salinity conditions in a pot experiment. Eleven bacterial strains which initially showed tolerance up to 80 g L-1 NaC1 also exhibited an EPs-producing potential. The results suggested that the isolated bacterial strains demonstrated some of the plant growth-promoting traits such as phosphate solubilizing ability and production of auxin, proline, reducing sugars, and total soluble sugars. Furthermore, the inoculated wheat plants had an increased biomass compared to the unoinoculated plants.

In this article, exact solutions of Wick-type stochastic Kudryashov–sinelshchikov equation have been obtained by using improved sub-equation method. We have used Hermite transform for transforming the Wick-type stochastic Kudryashov–sinelshchikov equation to deterministic partial differential equation. Also we have applied inverse Hermite transform for obtaining a set of stochastic solutions in the white noise space.

stochastic point kinetics equations(sPKEs) are a system of Ito? stochastic differential equations whose solution has been obtained by higher-order *** this study, a fractional model of sPKEs has been analyzed. The efficiency of the proposed higher-order approximation scheme has been discussed in the results section. The solutions of sPKEs in the presence of Newtonian temperature feedback have also been provided to further discuss the physical behavior of the fractional model.

Variations in microbial biomass C (MB-C),N (MB-N) and P (MB-P) along a gradient of different dominant vegeta- tion covers (natural forest,mixed deciduous forest,disturbed savanna and grassland ecosystems) in dry tropical soils of Vindhyan Plateau,India were studied from January 2005 to December *** water holding capacity,organic C,total N,total P and soil moisture content were comparatively higher in forest soils than in the savanna and grassland *** different study sites the mean annual MB-C,MB-N and MB-P at 0-15 cm soil depth varied from 312.05 ± 4.22 to 653.40 ± 3.17,32.16 ± 6.25 to 75.66 ± 7.21 and 18.94 ± 2.94 to 30.83 ± 23.08 μg g ?1 dry soil,*** all the investigated sites,the maximum MB-C,MB-N and MB-P occurred during the dry period (summer season) and the minimum in wet period (rainy season).In the present study,soil MB-C,MB-N and MB-P were higher at the forest sites compared to savanna and grassland *** differences in MB-C,MB-N and MB-P were significant (P sites and *** MB-C (P sitively correlated with organic C,while the relationship between soil moisture and MB-C,MB-N and MB-P (P spectively) was *** decreasing order of MB-C,MB-N and MB-P along study ecosystems was natural forest > mixed deciduous forest > savanna > *** results suggested that deforestation and land use practices (conversion of forest into savanna and grassland) caused the alterations in soil properties,which as a consequence,led to reduction in soil nutrients and MB-C,MB-N and MB-P in the soil of disturbed sites (grassland and savanna) compared to undisturbed forest ecosystems.

Crack tip fields are calculated under plane strain small scale yielding conditions. The material is characterized by a finite strain elastic-viscoplastic constitutive relation with various hardening-softening-hardening hardness functions. Both plastically compressible and plastically incompressible solids are considered. Displacements corresponding to the isotropic linear elastic mode I crack field are prescribed on a remote boundary. The initial crack is taken to be a semi-circular notch and symmetry about the crack plane is imposed. Plastic compressibility is found to give an increased crack opening displacement for a given value of the applied loading. The plastic zone size and shape are found to depend on the plastic compressibility, but not much on whether material softening occurs near the crack tip. On the other hand, the near crack tip stress and deformation fields depend sensitively on whether or not material softening occurs. The combination of plastic compressibility and softening (or softening-hardening) has a particularly strong effect on the near crack tip stress and deformation fields.

To elucidate the potential and sensitivity of cirradiation in Pongamia pinnata,the present study has been done by irradiating the air-dried seeds to differentγ-irradiation doses(100 Gy,200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy),using 60Co *** increase(p≤0.05)in the germination,growth,and vigor was recorded under the100 Gy treatment than the control *** chlorophylla and total chlorophyll content(mgg-1 FW)in the leaves of *** showed a significant decrease under the higher irradiation treatments(200 Gy,400 Gy and 600 Gy).In contrast,chlorophyllb showed a radio-resistance up to 200 Gy dose,and above which its concentration declined significantly(p≤0.05).Photosynthetic rate,stomatal conductance,intercellular CO2 concentration,and transpiration rate were stimulated by 100 Gy irradiation treatment and the higher doses inhibited these *** activity in the leaves of *** tended to increase after irradiation in a dose-dependent *** the plants under different treatments ofγ-irradiation showed stimulation in production of proline,flavonoid,and phenolic content in comparision to the *** findings of the present study showed thatγ-irradiation treatment stimulates the secondary metabolite production(proline,flavonoid and phenolic)and favours faster growth of ***.

In this paper, numerical solutions of the stochastic Fisher equation have been obtained by using a semi-implicit finite difference scheme. The samples for the Wiener process have been obtained from cylindrical Wiener process and Q-Wiener process. stability and convergence of the proposed finite difference scheme have been discussed scrupulously. The sample paths obtained from cylindrical Wiener process and Q-Wiener process have also been shown graphically.

Copper-induced changes in the urea uptake and urease activity have been investigated in the cyanobacteria Anabaena doliolum and Anacystis nidulans. Copper, at and above 5 μmol/L concentration, inhibited urea uptake and urease activity systems in both the cyanobacteria in a concentration dependent manner. However, the urea uptake and urease activity systems in A. nidulans appeared slightly more tolerant to copper than that of ***. The inhibitory effect of copper on urea uptake and urease activity was mitigated by sulphur containing amino acids (cystine and cysteine), however, methionine could not do so, indicating the involvement of sulfhydryl (-sH) groups in the assimilation of urea in cyanobacteria

This paper reports investigation conducted to study the fatigue performance of steel fibre reinforced concrete (sFRC) containing fibres of mixed aspect ratio. An extensive experimental program was conducted in which 90 flexural fatigue tests were carried out at different stress levels on size 500 mm×100 mm×100 mm sFRC specimens respectively containing 1.0%, 1.5% and 2.0% volume fraction of fibres. About 36 static flexural tests were also conducted to determine the static flexural strength prior to fatigue testing. Each volume fraction of fibres incorporated corrugated mixed steel fibres of size 0.6 mm×2.0 mm×25 mm and 0.6 mm×2.0 mm×50 mm in ratio 50:50 by weight. The results are presented both as s-N relationships, with the maximum fatigue stress expressed as a percentage of the strength under static loading, and as relationships between actually applied fatigue stress and number of loading cycles to failure. Two-million-cycle fatigue strengths of sFRC containing different volume fractions of mixed fibres were obtained and compared with plain concrete.
