The present study seeks the feasibility of using short carbon fibres recycled from polymer matrix composites as alternative to virgin carbon fibres in the reinforcement of magnesium *** microstructures,high temperature mechanical and creep properties of AZ91 alloy and its composites with various recycled carbon fibre contents(2.5 and 5 wt.%)and lengths(100 and 500μm)were investigated in the temperature range of 25-200℃.The microstructural characterization showed that the high shear dispersion technique provided the cast composites with finer grains and relatively homogenous distribution of *** materials tested displayed different behaviour depending on the type of *** general,while enhancements in the mechanical properties of composites is attributed to the load bearing and grain refinement effects of fibres,the fluctuations in the properties were discussed on the basis of porosity formation,relatively high reinforcement content leading to fibre clustering and interlayer found between the matrix and reinforcement compared to those of AZ91 *** compressive creep tests revealed similar or higher minimum creep rates in the recycled carbon fibre reinforced AZ91 in comparison to the unreinforced AZ91.

Influence of recycled carbon fiber addition on the microstructure and creep response of extruded AZ91 magnesium alloy

In this study,the recycled short carbon fiber(CF)-reinforced magnesium matrix composites were fabricated using a combination of stir casting and hot *** objective was to investigate the impact of CF content(2.5 and 5.0 wt.%)and fiber length(100 and 500μm)on the microstructure,mechanical properties,and creep behavior of AZ91 alloy *** microstructural analysis revealed that the CFs aligned in the extrusion direction resulted in grain and intermetallic refinement within the *** comparison to the unreinforced AZ91 alloy,the composites with 2.5 wt.%CF exhibited an increase in hardness by 16-20%and yield strength by 5-15%,depending on the fiber length,while experiencing a reduction in *** the reinforcement content was increased from 2.5 to 5.0 wt.%,strength values exhibited fluctuations and decline,accompanied by decreased *** divergent outcomes were discussed in relation to fiber length,clustering tendency due to higher reinforcement content,and the presence of interfacial products with micro-cracks at the CF-matrix *** creep tests indicated that CFs did not enhance the creep resistance of extruded AZ91 alloy,suggesting that grain boundary sliding is likely the dominant deformation mechanism during creep.

Bilateral visual impairment has important impacts on health-related quality of life and its physical and psychological consequences are proposed to be comparable to other important chronic medical illnesses . Therefore in monocular patients, an unsuccessful surgical intervention that might lead to permanent visual loss would have some negative reflections on life quality of the patient.

Comparison of contrast sensitivity and visual acuity between deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty and penetrating keratoplasty in patients with keratoconus

AIM: To evaluate postoperative visual acuity and contrast sensitivity results following deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK) and penetrating keratoplasty (PK) in patients with keratoconus (KC). METHODS: All the patients’ records with KC who had PK or DALK surgery between May 2010 and May 2011 were retrospectively reviewed. Sixty patients who underwent successful corneal transplantation for KC: 30 eyes underwent DALK and 30 eyes underwent PK were included in this study. Preoperative and postoperative mean logarithm of the minimum angle of resolution (logMAR) uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), logMAR best spectacle-corrected visual acuity (BSCVA) and intraocular pressure (IOP) were evaluated. Contrast sensitivity tests (CS) were done preoperative and 2 months after all sutures had removed. All surgeries were performed under regional anesthesia (retrobulbar anesthesia) by 1 surgeon (B.K.) who was experienced in penetrating and lamellar keratoplasty techniques. RESULTS: The mean age of the DALK group was 29.67±4.95 (range 18-40) years and the PK group was 28.7±3.53 (range 18-39) years. Preoperatively there was no significant difference in the logMAR UCVA, logMAR BSCVA and IOP between the DALK (1.281±0.56; 0.97±0.85; 12.07±2.12mmHg) and PK (1.34±0.21; 0.98±0.21; 13±2.12mmHg) groups. One-year after surgery there was no significant difference in the mean logMAR UCVA and IOP between the DALK (0.46±0.37; 11.73±2.1mmHg) and PK (0.38±0.21; 12±2.12mmHg) groups. The mean contrast sensitivity was evaluated by CC-100 Topcon LCD at 1.5, 2.52, 4.23, 7.10 and 11.91 cycles per degree (cs/deg) spatial frequencies before and 2 months after the all sutures had removed. CONCLUSION: All patients with keratoconus in both DALK and PK groups performed good visual function postoperatively. The mean contrast sensitivity increased considerably at all spatial frequencies compared with preoperative levels in the DALK and PK groups. Comparison of visual and topographic outcomes of deep-anterior lamellar keratoplasty and penetrating keratoplasty in keratoconus

AIM：To compare visual,surgical and topographic outcomes of deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty（DALK）and penetrating keratoplasty（PK）for keratoconus（KC）.METHODS：In this multicenter,prospective,randomized clinical trial 76 eyes of 71 KC patients operated between January 2011 and July 2014 in 2 tertiary referral hospitals were included. Consecutive patients were alternately selected to receive one of the two surgical methods. Thirty eight eyes underwent DALK with the big-bubble technique and 38 eyes underwent ***：Mean best spectacle corrected visual acuity（BSCVA）at the first postoperative week（P=0.012）and the first postoperative month（P〈0.001）was statistically significantly higher in DALK group. The mean BSCVA at12 mo was not significantly different for DALK（0.30±1.99 log MAR）versus PK（0.40±0.33 log MAR）（P=0.104）. The76.3% of the eyes had a BSCVA over 0.5 in DALK and 47.4%in PK group（P=0.009）. The 7.9% of the eyes had a BSCVA of 1.0 in DALK and 5.3% in PK group（P=0.644）. Mean spherical equivalent was-2.94 D in DALK and-3.09 D in PK *** topographic astigmatism was 4.62 D and 4.18 D respectively. Regular topographic patterns were observed in 31（81.6%）of DALK and 29（76.3%）of PK（P=0.574）. The most frequent topographic pattern was oblate asymmetric bow tie,seen in 39.5% in DALK and 23.7% in PK. CONCLUSION：Big bubble DALK provides an earlier visual improvement compare to PK. However,visual and topographic outcomes are similar to those in PK at 1y. Postoperative complications including rejection and intraocular pressure elevation are more frequent in PK. DALK is a safer alternative to PK for KC. However,intraoperativeperforation of the Descemet＇s membrane is a significant complication.

In this study, the boundary-value problem with eigenvalue parameter generated by the differential equation with discontinuous coefficients and boundary conditions which contains not only endpoints of the considered interval, but also point of discontinuity and linear functionals is investigated. So, the problem is not pure boundary-value. The authors single out a class of linear functionals and find simple algebraic conditions on coefficients, which garantee the existence of infinit number eigenvalues. Also the asymptotic formulas for eigenvalues are found.

The order Onygenales is classified in the class Eurotiomycetes of the subphylum *** in this order have classically been isolated from soil and dung,and two lineages contain causative agents of superficial,cutaneous and systemic infections in *** ecology and habitat choices of the species are driven mainly by the keratin and cellulose degradation *** present study aimed to investigate whether the ecological trends of the members of Onygenales can be interpreted in an evolutionary sense,linking phylogenetic parameters with habitat preferences,to achieve polyphasic definitions of the main taxonomic *** processes were estimated by multiple gene genealogies and divergence time *** described families,namely,Arthrodermataceae,Ajellomycetaceae,Ascosphaeraceae,Eremascaceae,Gymnoascaceae,Onygenaceae and Spiromastigoidaceae,were accepted in Onygenales,and two new families,Malbrancheaceae and Neogymnomycetaceae,were introduced.A number of species could not be assigned to any of the defined *** study provides a revised overview of the main lines of taxonomy of Onygenales,supported by multilocus analyses of ITS,LSU,TUB,TEF1,TEF3,RPB1,RPB2,and ribosomal protein 60S L10(L1)(RP60S)sequences,combined with available data on ecology,physiology,morphology,and genomics.

目的:研究剥脱综合征对结膜细胞和泪液功能的影响。方法:研究共纳入剥脱综合征患者60例86眼作为试验组,年龄相仿正常人55例89眼作为对照组。所有115例175眼均接受Schirmer泪试验及泪膜破裂时间试验,并对上方和鼻下方睑裂区球结膜进行印迹细胞学检查。印迹细胞学检查结果根据Nelson方法分级。对TBUT,Schirmer泪试验及印迹细胞学结果进行相关性分析。结果:剥脱综合征患者的Schirmer试验、TBUT均较正常组显著降低,结膜细胞也有显著改变。剥脱综合征患者的印迹细胞学分级中位数为3级,而正常人组为0级。在试验组中发现45例样本出现了两种以上分级共存的现象,而对照组仅发现3例。此外,实验组中的45例样本结膜上皮细胞和杯状细胞分级出现明显差异,且均表现出杯状细胞的破坏甚于上皮细胞,而对照组未发现此种现象。结论:剥脱综合征患者的结膜细胞受到破坏,泪液分泌受到影响,极易造成眼表疾病的出现。

背景:性功能障碍是影响患者对抗精神病药物服药依从性的因素之一,但尚不清楚这个问题的严重程度。目的:比较服用抗精神病药物且临床症状稳定的精神分裂症患者和健康对照者自我报告的性功能状况。评估工具采用土耳其语版的5个条目的亚利桑那性体验量表(Arizona Sexual Experience Scale,ASEX)。该量表的效度已在土耳其得到验证。量表评估性欲、性唤起、阴道润滑/阴茎勃起、达到高潮的能力以及对高潮的满意度等5个方面的性功能。方法:采用阳性症状量表、阴性症状量表和ASEX分别对101例临床症状稳定的门诊精神分裂症患者(女性38例、男性63例)进行评估。对89例无精神疾病史的对照者(女性41名、男性48名)也进行了ASEX量表评估。如果ASEX总分(范围5-30)>18,或者任一条目得分(范围1-6)≥5,或者至少有3个条目得分都大于4,则被视为存在性功能障碍。结果:自我报告有性功能障碍的男性精神分裂症患者多于健康对照者(46%对8%)。虽然女性患者性功能障碍的患病率显著高于男性患者(68%对46%),但是对照组中健康女性的性功能障碍患病率也非常高(68%),因而女性患者的性功能障碍不能归咎于她们的疾病或是正在服用的药物。患者组中,阳性症状和阴性症状的严重程度与性功能障碍无相关性,服用第一代抗精神病药的患者与服用第二代抗精神病药的患者之间的性功能障碍严重程度无明显差异。结论:在土耳其,不同性别的精神分裂症患者性功能状况的研究结果不同,这凸显了在评估精神障碍和药物对性功能的影响时制定特定区域、特定性别的性行为社会规范的重要性。今后需要采用前瞻性研究来区分文化规范、精神疾病以及使用的抗精神病药物在精神分裂症患者性功能障碍的病因和病程中的相对作用。
