Manufacturing is the application of labor, tools,machines, chemical and biological processing, to an original raw material by changing its physical and geometrical characteristics, in order to make finished products. Since the first industrial revolution, to accommodate the large-scale production,tremendous changes have happened to manufacturing through the innovations of technology, organization, management, transportation and communication. This work first reviews the highvolume low-mix process by focusing on the quantity production,transfer line and single model assembly line. Then, it reviews the high-volume high-mix process. For such a process type,mixed/multi model assembly line is usually adopted. Hence,two main decisions on them, i.e., balancing and, sequencing are reviewed. Thereafter, it discusses the low-volume high-mix process in detail. Then, technology gap and future work is discussed, and at last, conclusions are given.

Treatment of meniscal tears: An evidence based approach

This paper proposes a general method to synthesize a least restrictive supervisor for a large discrete event system model,consisting of a large number of arbitrary automata representing the plants and specifications.A new type of abstraction called synthesis abstraction is introduced and three rules are proposed to calculate an abstraction of a given ***,a compositional algorithm for synthesizing a supervisor for large-scale systems of composed finite-state automata is *** the proposed algorithm,the synchronous composition is computed step by step and intermediate results are simplified according to synthesis *** a supervisor for the abstracted system is calculated,which in combination with the original system gives the least restrictive,nonblocking,and controllable behaviour.

Treatment options for meniscal tears fall into three broad categories;non-operative,meniscectomy or meniscal *** the most appropriate treatment for a given patient involves both patient factors(e.g.,age,co-morbidities and compliance)and tear characteristics(e.g.,location of tear/age/reducibility of tear).There is evidence suggesting that degenerative tears in older patients without mechanical symptoms can be effectively treated non-operatively with a structured physical therapy programme as a first *** if these patients later require meniscectomy they will still achieve similar functional outcomes than if they had initially been treated *** meniscectomy is suitable for symptomatic tears not amenable to repair,and can still preserve meniscal function especially when the peripheral meniscal rim is *** repair shows 80%success at 2 years and is more suitable in younger patients with reducible tears that are peripheral(e.g.,nearer the capsular attachment)and horizontal or longitudinal in ***,careful patient selection and repair technique is required with good compliance to post-operative rehabilitation,which often consists of bracing and non-weight bearing for 4-6 wk.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the commonest primary malignant cancer of the liver in the world. Given that the burden of chronic liver disease is expected to rise owing to increasing rates of alcoholism, hepatitis B and C prevalence and obesity-related fatty liver disease, it is expected that the incidence of HCC will also increase in the foreseeable future. This article summarizes the international epidemiology, the risk factors and the pathogenesis of HCC, including the roles of viral hepatitis, toxins, such as alcohol and aflatoxin, and insulin resistance.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is one of the commonest cancers worldwide, particularly in parts of the developing world, and is increasing in incidence. This article reviews the current modalities employed for the diagnosis of HCC, including serum markers, radiological techniques and histological evaluation, and summarises international guidelines for the diagnostic approach to HCC.

Background: Ischaemic heart disease is the cause of 7.4 million deaths per year. Their prevention is based on the management of cardiovascular risk factors, but also on the early detection and management of chronic coronary syndromes (CCS), for which few data are available in Africa. The main objective of our study was to determine the factors related to significative coronary artery disease in patients undergoing coronarography for suspected chronic coronary syndrome (CCS). Methodology: We conducted a retrospective descriptive and analytical study over 2 years (from January, 1st, 2018 to December 31st, 2019) in the Cardiology Department of the University Hospital Aristide Le DANTEC in Dakar. All patients admitted for coronary angiography for suspected chronic coronary syndrome were included. Results: One hundred and fifty-two patients were included with a mean age of 60.79 ± 9.73 years, the most represented age group was 60 - 69 years. Advanced age was the most frequent risk factor (77.63%) followed by sedentary lifestyle (56.58%) and hypertension (41.45%). Diabetes was present in 17.1% of cases. A history of angioplasty was found in 1.97% of patients. Typical pain was found in 71.05% of cases, atypical pain in 19.74% and exertional dyspnoea in 2.63%. The pre-test probability was intermediate in 67.1% of cases, low in 25% and high in 7.9%. Significative coronary lesion was found in 52.63% of the patients, while coronary angiography was normal in the remaining cases. Tritroncular status was observed in 37.50%, it was bitroncular in 26.25% and monotroncular in 36.25% of cases. Factors associated with significative coronary artery disease were age (p = 0.0001), diabetes (p = 0.006), previous angioplasty (p = 0.023), previous myocardial infarction (p = 0.018), typical angina (p = 0.001), intermediate pretest probability (p = 0.001). Low pretest probability was significantly correlated with the absence of a coronary lesion with a p = 0.001. Conclus

Improvements in imaging technology allow exploitation of the dual blood supply of the liver to aid in the identif ication and characterisation of both malignant and benign liver lesions. Imaging techniques available include contrast enhanced ultrasound, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. This review discusses the application of several imaging techniques in the diagnosis and staging of both hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma and outlines certain characteristics of benign liver lesions. The advantages of each imaging technique are highlighted, while underscoring the potential pitfalls and limitations of each imaging modality.

本文定义的吉林——黑龙江高压变质带是指我国东北地区佳木斯——兴凯地块西缘和南缘共同发育的呈弧形展布的高压变质带,具体包括佳木斯——兴凯地块西缘增生杂岩带(黑龙江蓝片岩带和张广才——小兴安岭增生杂岩带)和佳木斯——兴凯地块南缘的长春——延吉增生杂岩带。其中佳木斯——兴凯地块西缘增生杂岩带形成于晚三叠——早侏罗世(180～210Ma),为佳木斯——兴凯地块向西冲增生而形成的高压变质带;而长春——延吉增生杂岩带由一系列特征性俯冲——增生杂岩组成,包括石头口门——烟筒山红帘石片岩带、呼兰群变质杂岩、色洛河群变质杂岩、青龙村群变质杂岩和开山屯变质杂岩等,形成时代为187～230Ma,峰期为220～230Ma。长春——延吉增生杂岩带曾被认为是西拉木伦河断裂带的东延部分,但是区域构造分析表明,它们形成的动力学背景与佳木斯——兴凯地块西缘增生杂岩带相同,均为太平洋板块三叠纪——早侏罗世的西向俯冲导致佳木斯-兴凯地块自东向西的"剪刀式"闭合过程。我们将佳木斯——兴凯地块西缘和南缘发育的三叠纪——早侏罗世增生杂岩带作为统一的构造单元来考虑,结合该区发育有典型的高压变质带,因此命名为"吉林——黑龙江高压变质带,简称吉黑高压带"。吉黑高压带形成于太平洋板块三叠纪——早侏罗世的西向俯冲导致佳木斯——兴凯地块自东向西的"剪刀式"闭合的过程,同时该带记录了古亚洲构造域的结束和太平洋俯冲开始的关键时期,为两大构造域叠加与转换的关键性地质证据。
