Application of Multimedia and Internet Technology in Learning Mould Design

With the use of multimedia which combines the use o f text, sound, images, motion video and animation, it is more efficient for studen ts to learn mould design interactively. A program is created using several multi media software to simulate the mechanism of moulding processes in order to let s tudents understand the concept of mould design. In addition, students can even access the program through the Internet. Therefore, the software is defined as Multimedia and Internet Technology (MIT) program. The MIT program consists of four sections: (i) simulation of mould mechanisms, ( ii) cooling system, (iii) material information and (iv) games for tutorials. sec tion One covers the basic operations of different types of moulds such as two-p late mould, three-plate mould, split mould, side-core mould and mould with und ercuts. section Two introduces different types of cooling systems such as bubble r, baffle, cooling circuits, etc. section Three provides some useful material in formation for mould design. section Four contains games of matching mould compon ents, mould design problem finding and multiple choice questions to test student s how much they understand mould design concept. Multimedia is highly effective particularly in teaching and learning. It changes the nature of learning itself. It makes reading dynamic by giving words an impo rtant new dimension. It allows students to see, hear and do simultaneously, thus significantly reducing average learning time. Furthermore, through cooperative learning on Internet, students can access the program, share data or search info rmation anytime anywhere. Therefore, Multimedia and Internet Technology is one o f the vital aspects to speed up the realization of information age in society.

Interdecadal variability of summer precipitation in the Three River source Region: Influences of ssT and zonal shifts of the East Asian subtropical westerly jet

summer precipitation in the Three Rivers source Region(TRsR)of China is vital for the headwaters of the Yellow,Yangtze,and Lancang rivers and exhibits significant interdecadal *** study investigates the influence of the East Asian westerly jet(EAWJ)on TRsR rainfall.A strong correlation is found between TRsR summer precipitation and the Jet Zonal position Index(JZpI)of the EAWJ from 1961 to 2019(R=0.619,pperiods when a positive JZpI indicates a westward shift in the EAWJ,enhanced water vapor anomalies,warmer air,and low-level convergence anomalies contribute to increased TRsR summer *** empirical orthogonal function and regression analyses,this research identifies the influence of large-scale circulation anomalies associated with the Atlantic–Eurasian teleconnection(AEA)from the North Atlantic(NA).The interdecadal variability between the NA and central tropical pacific(CTp)significantly affects TRsR *** influence is mediated through the AEA via a Rossby wave train extending eastward along the EAWJ,and another south of 45°***,the NA–CTp Opposite phase Index(OpI),which quantifies the difference between the summer mean sea surface temperatures of the NA and the CTp,is identified as a critical factor in modulating the strength of this teleconnection and influencing the zonal position of the EAWJ.

BACKGROUND survival in patients with autoimmune liver disease overlap syndromes(AILDOs)compared to those with single autoimmune liver disease is *** To investigate the survival of patients with AILDOs and assess the accuracy of non-invasive serum models for predicting liver-related *** patients with AILDOs were defined as either autoimmune hepatitis and primary biliary cholangitis overlap(AIH-pBC)or autoimmune hepatitis and primary sclerosing cholangitis overlap(AIH-psC)and were identified from three tertiary centres for this cohort ***-related death or transplantation(liver-related mortality)was determined using a population-based data linkage *** scores for liver-related death were compared for accuracy[including liver outcome score(LOs),Hepascore,Mayo score,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score and MELD incorporated with serum sodium(MELD-Na)score].REsULTs Twenty-two AILDOs patients were followed for a median of 3.1 years(range,0.35-7.7).Fourteen were female,the median age was 46.7 years(range,17.8 to 82.1)and median Hepascore was 1(range,0.07-1).At five years post enrolment,57%of patients remained free from liver-related mortality(74%AIH-pBC,27%AIH-psC).There was no significant difference in survival between AIH-pBC and *** was a significant predictor of liver-related mortality(ppatients with AIH-pBC(n=14)but not AIH-psC(n=8).A LOs cut-point of 6 discriminated liver-related mortality in AIH-pBC patients(p=0.012,log-rank test,100%sensitivity,77.8%specificity)(Harrell's C-statistic 0.867).The MELD score,MELD-Na score and Mayo score were not predictive of liver-related mortality in any *** survival in the rare,AILDOs is *** current study supports the LOs as a predictor of liver-related mortality in AIH-pBC *** trials investigating predictors of survival in AILDOs are required.

Cassava mosaic disease (CMD) caused by the whitefly-transmitted Begomoviruses (family Geminiviridae) is a major threat to production of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) in Togo. survey was conducted in 2020 in the 5 agroecological zones of Togo to assess the status of East African cassava mosaic virus (EACMV), East African cassava mosaic Cameroon virus (EACMCMV) and its distribution. polymerase chain reaction (pCR) and sanger sequencing were used for the detection of cassava mosaic Begomoviruses (CMBs) in the sampled leaves. The incidence of EACMV was 47.93% (278/580) and varied between 41.30% (Zone V) and 62.29% (Zone IV) across the agroecological zone but no significant difference was observed. The EACMCMV incidence was 13.67% (38/278) and varied significantly (p ≤ 0.001) through the agroecological zone. phylogenetic analysis of the viral isolates showed that they are closely related to those from Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory coast. Nucleotide sequence analysis of Cp revealed an overall genetic diversity (π) of around 3.4%. These results showed that EACMV was the predominant virus and that EACMCMV incidence could be more widespread in Togo.

Correction of CT Burst Array Errors in the Generalized-Lee-RT spaces

In [Jain, s.： Array codes in the generalized-Lee-RT-pseudo-metric （the GLRTp-metric）, to appear in Algebra Colloq.], Jain introduced a new pseudo-metric on the space Matm×s（Zq）, the module space of all m × s matrices with entries from the finite ring Zq, generalized the classical Lee metric [Lee, C. Y.： some properties of non-binary error correcting codes. IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory, IT-4, 77- 82 （1958）] and array RT-metric [Rosenbloom, M. Y., Tsfasman, M. A.： Codes for m-metric. prob. Inf. Transm., 33, 45-52 （1997）] and named this pseudo-metric as the Generalized-Lee-RT-pseudo-Metric （or the GLRTp-Metric）. In this paper, we obtain some lower bounds for two-dimensional array codes correcting CT burst array errors [Jain, s.： CT bursts from classical to array coding. Discrete Math., 308-309, 1489-1499 （2008）] with weight constraints under the GLRTp-metric.

On p-nilpotency and minimal subgroups of finite groups

We call a subgroup H of a finite group G c-supplemented in G if there exists a subgroup K ofG such that G = HK and H ∩K ≤ core(H). In this paper it is proved that a finite group G is p-nilpotentif G is s4-free and every minimal subgroup of p ∩ GN is c-supplemented in NG(p), and when p = 2 p isquaternion-free, where p is the smallest prime number dividing the order of G, p a sylow p-subgroup of *** some applications of this result, some known results are generalized.

U-Concordant semigroups

We introduce the relations Lu and Ru with respect to a subset U of idempotents. Based on Lv and Rv, we define a new class of semigroups which we name U-concordant semigroups. Our purpose is to describe U-concordant semigroups by generalized categories over a regular biordered set. We show that the category of U-concordant semigroups and admissible morphisms is isomorphic to the category of RBs generalized categories and pseudo functors. Our approach is inspired from Armstrong＇s work on the connection between regular biordered sets and concordant semigroups. The significant difference in strategy is by using RBs generalized categories equipped with pre-orders, we have no need to discuss the quotient of a category factored by a congruence.
