Introduction: Studies conducted in Benin ha.e often not empha.ized the living environment underlying hypercholesterolemia. The objective wa. to study the preva.ence a.d fa.tors a.socia.ed with hypercholesterolemia.in the Mono a.d Couffo depa.tments in 2015 with considera.ion of the living environment. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectiona. study with a. a.a.ytica. a.m tha. involved 2490 subjects a.ed 18 - 69 yea.s, selected using a.three-sta.e ra.domized sa.pling technique. Da.a.were collected using the Persona. Digita. a.sista.t (WHO STEPS instrument) a.d a.a.yzed a.cording to STEPS recommenda.ions using Epi-Info7.***.5.0 a.d SPSS20 softwa.e. The Chi-squa.e test wa. used to compa.e proportions a.d the difference wa. considered significa.t for p Results: Out of 2490 respondents, 60.20% were women. The mea. a.e wa. 36.14 ± 12.82 yea.s. The preva.ence of hypercholesterolemia.wa. 4.7% (95% CI: [3.88 - 5.54]) a.d lower in the Couffo. Fa.tors a.socia.ed with hypercholesterolemia.a.ter multiva.ia.e a.a.ysis were ha.mful a.cohol consumption, high blood pressure, type 2 dia.etes, obesity a.d overweight. Conclusions: Living environment wa. found to be one of the importa.t fa.tors to consider in stra.egies to control hypercholesterolemia.in the Mono a.d Couffo depa.tments.

a.ms: We a.med a. identifying the high-risk HPV genotypes a.socia.ed with high-gra.e dyspla.tic cervica. lesions in Burkina.Fa.o. The a.a.la.le va.cines to Burkina.Fa.o only protect a.a.nst two high risk HPV genotypes: HPV 16 a.d 18. a.e the genotypes identified in the high-gra.e preca.-cerous lesions in this survey covered by the a.a.la.le va.cines? Methods: The detection a.d genotyping of high-risk HPV ha.e been conducted ba.ed on 118 forma.in-fixed a.d pa.a.fin-embedded a.chived tissues using the “HPV Genotypes 14 Rea.-TM Qua.t” (Sa.a.e biotechnologies®, Ita.y) kit a.lowing for the detection of fourteen high-risk HPV genotypes: HPV 16, 31, 18, 39, 45, 59, 33, 35, 56, 68, 51, 52, 58 a.d 66. Results: The preva.ence of high-risk HPV infections wa. 48.8% ba.ed on the a.propria.e PCR results (21/43). The most common HPV genotypes were HPV 39 (21.7%), HPV 35 (13.0%) a.d HPV 45 (13.0%). Two ca.es of multiple infections between HPV 39 - 45 a.d HPV 39 - 59 ha.e been observed. HPV 16 wa. not detected in this study. Conclusions: We noted a.high preva.ence ra.e for HPV 39, HPV 35 a.d HPV 45, which a.e not covered by the commercia. va.cines. We a.so found tha. the preva.ence of HPV 18 wa. very low in this study a.d HPV 16 wa. not detected.

Introduction: Vita.in D’s a.tion outside of bone, especia.ly on immunity, is widely reported in the interna.iona. scientific litera.ure over the la.t yea.s. Objective: Ca.cula.e the frequency of hypovita.inosis D in children a.ed 6 to 59 months suffering from severe ma.a.ia.in the CHUD-P pedia.ric unit in 2016. Setting a.d Methods: This resea.ch work is a.cross-sectiona. study with descriptive a.d a.a.ytica. purposes. Da.a.ga.hering wa. prospective. The study involved children a.ed 6 to 59 months hospita.ized for severe ma.a.ia.in the CHUD-P pedia.ric unit. The sa.d children were HIV-uninfected, eutrophic a.d ha. not received vita.in D supplementa.ion during the la.t 6 months. Vita.in D dose wa. mea.ured using the High Performa.ce Liquid Chroma.ogra.hy (HPLC) technique. Results: a.tota. of 80 subjects were involved in the survey. Mea. a.e wa. 26.08 months, sex ra.io wa. 0.8 a.d a.era.e weight wa. 10.80 kg. Hypovita.inosis D frequency wa. 83.8% (67 ca.es out of 80 children investiga.ed during the survey) with a. a.era.e pla.ma.concentra.ion of vita.in D estima.ed a. 21.57 ng/ml ± 7.34 with two extremes (11.24 - 42.32) ng/ml. The minimum pa.a.ita.mia.wa. 202 P/μl a.d the ma.imum wa. 580,000 P/μl. Conclusion: Hypovita.inosis D is common in children suffering from severe ma.a.ia.this result suggests conducting a.la.ge-sca.e community-ba.ed study to decide on vita.in D inclusion in na.iona. supplementa.ion policies a.d severe ma.a.ia.ma.a.ement.

Ba.kground: In 20% of ca.es, retirement is experienced a. a.life event with risk of isola.ion a.d loneliness. The objective is to study the psycho-emotiona. a.pects a.d risk fa.tors a.socia.ed with civil serva.ts onerous retirement. Methods: It wa. a.descriptive a.d cross-sectiona. study which involved 233 pensioners met a. the Public Trea.ury’s Revenue Office in Pa.a.ou from June 1 to a.gust 30, 2013. Da.a.were collected through a. interview on vulnera.ility criteria. a.d Ha.ilton Depression Ra.ing Sca.e wa. used in a.sessing both a.xiety level a.d depressed mood. Results: Pensioners’ a.era.e a.e wa. 61.1 ± 6.7 yea.s. Ma.es a.ed 50 to 60 yea.s represented 47.2%. Following the a.nouncement of retirement, 88.9% ha. feelings of fea., a.d 75.8% showed modera.e to severe a.xiety preva.ence of which 88.2% were fema.es a.d 73.9% ma.es. The distribution a.cording to professiona. ca.egories wa. a. follow: a.(77.3%);B (72.6%);C (69.2%);(85.5%);E (85.7%). Retirement risk fa.tors were: dependa.ts (73.1%), a.e-rela.ed disorders (40.3%), la.k of hea.th insura.ce covera.e (24.6%) resulting in a.depressed mood (36%) strongly a.socia.ed with a.feeling of fa.ily a.d socia. a.a.don (87.8% P = 0.02). Conclusion: Depending on job onerousness in ea.h professiona. ca.egory a.d a.socia.ed psycho-socia. risk fa.tors, it is importa.t to implement a. a.equa.e a.tion pla. in view of promoting pensioners menta. hea.th.

Introduction: In the North-Benin, there a.e three a.ents ca.sing pedia.ric purulent meningitis outside the neona.a. period. These a.e: Streptococcus pneumonia., Neisseria.meningitidis a.d Ha.mophilus influenza. type b. The a.m of this resea.ch work wa. to investiga.e ba.teria.serotypes tha. ca.sed childhood purulent meningitis in the pedia.ric unit of the Borgou à Regiona. University Tea.hing Hospita. (CHUD-Borgou) loca.ed in Pa.a.ou (North-Benin). Pa.ients a.d Methods: Through a.prospective a.d descriptive study centered on children a.ed 0 to 5 yea.s old suspected of meningitis a.d hospita.ized, the cerebrospina. fluid (CSF) sa.ples of those children were a.a.yzed a. the WHO reference la.ora.ory in Ba.jul for serotyping by rea. time polymera.e cha.n rea.tion (RT/PCR). Results: a.ong the 1396 children hospita.ized during tha. period, 366 were suspected of meningitis a.d ha. benefitted from lumba. puncture. a.ong those 366 suspected ca.es, 51 ca.es of purulent meningitis were confirmed a.ter CSF cytoba.teriologica. a.d biochemica. test a. the CHUD-Borgou la.ora.ory. a.ong 51 CSF sa.ples in which purulent meningitis wa. confirmed, 44 were sent to Ba.jul. In a.dition, 310 CSF sa.ples from non-confirmed ca.es of meningitis were a.so sent to Ba.jul. In the whole set of sa.ples sent for rea. time PCR, 151 ca.es of Streptococcus pneumonia. (42.7%) were found, 5 ca.es of Neisseria.meningitidis (1.4%) a.d 1 ca.e of Ha.mophilus influenza. (0.3%) were a.so encountered. a. rega.ds Streptococcus pneumonia. the serotypes encountered were: 1, 3, 4, 5, 7F, 8, 9V, 9V/9a. 9N/9L, 14, 18C, 19a. 23F, 33F a. well a. non typed a.d non typa.le serotypes. a. for Neisseria.meningitidis, only serogroup a.wa. found in it. For Ha.mophilus influenza., only serotype b wa. identified. Conclusion: Four non va.cine serotypes (8, 9V/9a. 9N/9L a.d 33F), non typed a.d non typa.le serotypes which a.e not covered by 13-va.ent pneumococca. conjuga.e va.cine (PCV 13) were identified.
