Rhyacian and neoproterozoic magmatic associations of the Gurupi Belt,Brazil: Implications for the tectonic evolution, and regional correlations

The Gurupi Belt,in north-northeastern Brazil,is a mobile belt developed in the south-southwestern margin of the Sao Luis cratonic fragment and crops out as a tectonic and erosional window within the Phanerozoic ***,petrographic,geochemical,geochronological,and Nd isotopic information(new and published)constrain the timing and types of magmatic associations present in the belt and the tectonic settings in which they *** Rhyacian was the main period of magmatic activity,which can be grouped into two main stages.(1)~2185-2130 ma:pre-collisional,juvenile,calc-alkaline magnesian and calcic ferroan granitoid suites,and minor calc-alkaline and tholeiitic mafic plutonism(now amphibolites),formed in intra-oceanic to transitional/continental arcs;and intra-or back-arc volcano-sedimentary basin.(2)~2125-2070 ma:syn-(two-mica granites)to late-collisional(potassic to shoshonitic granites and quartz-syenite)plutonic suites produced after crustal thickening and melting,with localized migmatization,that intruded during the compressive D1 deformational phase and concomitantly with greenschist to amphibolite *** is a zonation of the Rhyacian episodes,with intra-oceanic stages occurring to the northeast,and the continental arc and collisional phases occurring to the southwest,indicating the presence of an active continental margin to the southwest,and subduction from ne to SW(present-day configuration).This magmatic framework is a continuation to the south of what is described for the Sao Luis cratonic fragment to the north,and the orogenic scenario is identical to what is observed for the same period in the West African Craton(Eburnean/Birrimian orogen),which additionally supports previous geological *** the neoproterozoic,a few magmatic occurrences are *** extensional event allowed the intrusion of an anorogenic,nepheline syenite at ca.730 ma,which was followed by the intrusion of a crustal,calc-alkaline microtonalite,of uncertain

Diagnosis of pancreatic tumors by endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration

AIm： To evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration （EUS-FNA） for pancreatic solid tumors larger or smaller than 3 cm, and cystic lesions.mETHODS： From January/1997 to December/2006, 611 patients with pancreatic tumors were subjected to EUSFNA. The final diagnosis was obtained either by surgery （356 cases） or after a mean clinical follow-up of 11.8 mo in the remaining patients.RESULTS： There were 405 solid tumors, 189 cystic lesions and 17 mixed. Pancreatic specimens for cytological assessment were successfully obtained by EUS-FNA in 595 （97.4%） cases. There were 352 （57.6%） malignancies and 259 （42.4%） benign tumors. Among the malignancies, pancreatic adenocarcinomas accounted for 67% of the lesions. Overall, the sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values, and accuracy of EUS-FNA were, respectively, 78.4%, 99.2%, 99.3%, 77.2% and 87.2%. Specifically for solid tumors, the same parameters for neoplasms larger and smaller than 3 cm were, respectively, 78.8% ys 82.4%, 100% ys 98.4%, 100% vs 99%, 54.8% vs 74.1% and 83.1% vs 87.8%. For cystic lesions, the values were, respectively, 72.2%, 99.3%, 97.5%, 91% and 92.2%.CONCLUSION： EUS-FNA can be used to sample pancreatic tumors in most patients. Even though the negative predictive value is inadequate for large solid tumors, the results are rather good for small solid tumors, especially concerning the sensitivity, negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy. Among all pancreatic lesions, EUS-FNA for cystic lesions can reveal the best negative predictive value and diagnostic accuracy, both higher than 90%.

This work investigated the influence of silver plasmon and reduced graphene oxide(r GO)on the photoelectrochemical performance(PEC)of Zn O thin films synthesized by the sol-gel *** physicochemical properties of the obtained photo-anodes were systematically studied by using several characterization *** x-ray diffraction analysis showed that all samples presented hexagonal wurtzite structure with a polycrystalline *** and energy dispersive x-ray(EDX)studies confirmed the existence of both Ag and r GO in Zn O:Ag/r GO thin *** estimated grain size obtained from scanning electron microscopy(SEm)analysis decreased with Ag doping,then increased to a maximum value after r GO *** UV-vis transmission spectra of the as-prepared Zn O:Ag and Zn O:Ag/r GO thin films have shown a reduction in the visible range with a redshift at the absorption *** bandgaps were estimated to be around 3.17 e V,2.7 e V,and 2.52 e V for Zn O,Zn O:Ag,and Zn O:Ag/r GO,***,the electrical measurements revealed that the charge exchange processes were enhanced at the Zn O:Ag/r GO/electrolyte interface,accompanied by an increase in the(PEC)performance compared to Zn O and Zn O:Ag ***,the photocurrent density of Zn O:Ag/r GO(0.2 m A·cm^(-2)) was around 4 and 2.22 times higher than photo-anodes based on undoped Zn O(0.05 m A·cm^(-2)) and Zn O:Ag(0.09 m A·cm^(-2)),***,from the flat band potential and donor density,deduced from the mott-Schottky,it was clear that all the samples were n-type semiconductors with the highest carrier density for the Zn O:Ag/r GO photo-anode.

The first search for the doubly heavy Ωbc0baryon and a search for the Ξbc0baryon are performed using pp collision data collected via the LHCb experiment from 2016 to 2018 at a centre-of-mass energy of 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.2 *** baryons are reconstructed via their decays to ∧c+π-andΞc+π-.No significant excess is found for invariant masses between 6700 and 7300 meV/c2,in a rapidity range from2.0 to 4.5 and a transverse momentum range from 2 to 20 meV/*** limits are set on the ratio of the Ωbc0andΞbc0production cross-section times the branching fraction to ∧c+π-（Ξc+π-） relative to that of the ∧b0（Ξb0） baryon,for different lifetime hypotheses,at 95% confidence *** upper limits range from 0.5×10-4to 2.5×10-4for theΩbc0→∧c+π-(Ξbc0→∧c+π-) decay,and from 1.4×10-3to 6.9×10-3for the Ωbc0→Ξc+π-(Ξbc0→Ξc+π-) decay,depending on the considered mass and lifetime of the Ωbc0(Ξbc0) baryon.

A search for the rare decay B^(0)→J/ψФis performed using Pp collision data collected with the LHCb dete-ctor at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV,corresponding to an integrated luminosity of9 *** significant signal of the decay is observed and an upper limitof 1.1x 10^(-7)at 90%confidence level is set on the branching fraction.

First evidence of a structure in the J/ψΛinvariant mass distribution is obtained from an amplitude analysis of■b^(-)J/ψΛK^(-)*** observed structure is consistent with being due to a charmonium pentaquark with strangeness with a significance of 3.1r including systematic uncertainties and lookelsewhere *** mass and width are determined to be 4458:8±2:9t4:7-1:1 meV and 17:3±6:5t8:0-5:7 meV,respectively,where the quoted uncertainties are statistical and *** structure is also consistent with being due to two *** addition,the narrow excited■^(-)states,N■(1690)and■(1820),are seen for the first time in a■b^(-)decay,and their masses and widths are measured with improved *** analysis is performed using pp collision data corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^(-1),collected with the LHCb experiment at centre-of-mass energies of 7,8 and 13 TeV.
