Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)-based control sh.ws enh.nced performance in th. management of integrated energy systems wh.n compared with.Rule-Based Controllers(RBCs),but it still lacks scalability and generalisation due to th. necessity of using tailored models for th. training *** Learning(TL)is a potential solution to address th.s ***,existing TL applications in building control h.ve been mostly tested among buildings with.similar features,not addressing th. need to scale up advanced control in real-world scenarios with.diverse energy *** paper assesses th. performance of an online h.terogeneous TL strategy,comparing it with.RBC and offline and online DRL controllers in a simulation setup using EnergyPlus and *** study tests th. transfer in both.transductive and inductive settings of a DRL policy designed to manage a ch.ller coupled with.a Th.rmal Energy Storage(TES).Th. control policy is pre-trained on a source building and transferred to various target buildings ch.racterised by an integrated energy system including ph.tovoltaic and battery energy storage systems,different building envelope features,occupancy sch.dule and boundary conditions(e.g.,weath.r and price signal).Th. Th. production of single cell protein(SCP)using lignocellulosic materials stands out as a promising route in th. circular bioeconomy ***,multiple steps are necessary for lignocellulosics-to-SCP processes,involving ch.mical pretreatments and specific aerobic *** th.re are no studies th.t investigated th. SCP production from lignocellulosics by using only biological processes and microbial biomass able to work both.anaerobically and *** th.s view,th. valorisation of industrial h.mp(Cannabis sativa L.)biomass residues(h.Rs),specifically h.rds and a mix of leaves and inflorescences,combined with.ch.ese wh.y(CW)was investigated th.ough.a semi-continuous acidogenic co-fermentation process(co-AF).Th. aim of th.s study was to maximise h.Rs conversion into VFAs to be furth.r used as carbon-rich.substrates for SCP *** process conditions were tested by eith.r removing CW or increasing th. amount of h.Rs in terms of VS(i.e.,two and four times)to evaluate th. performance of th. co-AF *** h.Rs resulted in a proportional increase in VFA production up to 3115 mg h.c L^(-1),with.experimental production nearly 40%h.gh.r th.n th.oretical *** synergy between h.Rs and CW was demonstrated,proving th. latter as essential to improve th. biodegradability of th. *** produced VFAs were subsequently tested as substrates for SCP synth.sis in batch.aerobic tests.A biomass concentration of 2.43 g TSS L^(-1) was ach.eved with.a C/N ratio of 5.0 and a ph.of 9.0 after two days of aerobic fermentation,reach.ng a protein content of 42%(g protein per g TSS).Th.se results demonstrate th. overall feasibility of th. VFA-mediated h.R-to-SCP valorisation process.

Th. increasing penetration of variable renewable energy(VRE)generation along with.th. decommissioning of conventional power plants in Ch.le,h.s raised several operational ch.llenges in th. Ch.lean National Power Grid(NPG),including transmission congestion and VRE *** mitigate th.se limitations,an innovative virtual transmission solution based on battery energy storage systems(BESSs),known as grid booster(GB),h.s been proposed to increase th. capacity of th. main 500 kV corridor of th. *** paper analyzes th. dynamic performance of th. GB using a wide-area electromagnetic transient(EMT)model of th. *** GB project,composed of two 500 MVA BESS units at each.extreme of th. 500 kV corridor,allows increasing th. transmission capacity for 15 min during N-1 contingencies,overcoming transmission limitations under normal operation conditions wh.le maintaining system stability during *** dynamic beh.vior of th. GB is also analyzed to control power flow as well as voltage *** results sh.w th.t th. GB is an effective solution to allow greater penetration of VRE generation wh.le maintaining system stability in th. NPG.

Present studies in ph.sics assume th.t elementary particles are th. building blocks of all matter, and th.t th.y are zero-dimensional objects wh.ch.do not occupy space. Th. new I-Th.ory predicts th.t elementary particles do indeed h.ve a substructure, th.ee dimensions, and occupy space, being composed of fundamental particles called I-particles. In th.s article we identify th. substructural pattern of elementary particles and define th. quanta of energy th.t form each.elementary particle. We demonstrate th.t th. substructure comprises two classes of quanta wh.ch.we call “attraction quanta” and “repulsion quanta”. We create a model th.t defines th. rest-mass energy of each.elementary particle and can predict new particles. Lastly, in order to incorporate th.s knowledge into th. contemporary models of science, a revised periodic table is proposed.
