Background: Androgen insensitivity syndrome(AIS), a disorder of sexual development in 46, XY individuals, is caused by loss-of-function mutations in the androgen receptor(AR) gene. A variety of tumors have been reported in association with AIS, but no cases with colorectal cancer(CRC) have been *** presentation: Here, we present a male patient with AIS who developed multiple early-onset CRCs and his pedigree. His first cousin was diagnosed with AIS and harbored the same AR gene mutation, but with no signs of CRC. The difference in clinical management for the two patients was that testosterone treatment was given to the proband for a much longer time compared with the cousin. The CRC family history was negative, and no germline mutations in well-known CRC-related genes were identified. A single nucleotide polymorphism array revealed a microduplication on chromosome 22q11.22 that encompassed a micro RNA potentially related to CRC pathogenesis. In the proband, whole exome sequencing identified a polymorphism in an oncogene and 13 rare loss-of-function variants, of which two were in CRC-related genes and four were in genes associated with other human ***: By pathway analysis, all inherited germline genetic events were connected in a unique network whose alteration in the proband, together with continuous testosterone stimulation, may have played a role in CRC pathogenesis.

The HA is present in almost all vertebrates and plays a critical role in tissue development and cell proliferation, it has been demonstrated to promote wound healing and involved in angiogenesis and inflammation. Also polynucleotydes (PN) have proved to promote the “in vitro” growth and activity of human fibroblasts and osteoblasts, to increase reparation on UVB damaged dermal fibroblasts and seems to promote proliferation of human pre-adipocytes. Several in vivo studies have demonstrated the PN effect also in vivo, inducing an increase of angiogenesis and healing process. In this paper we have evaluated the effect of a mixture of Polynucleotides (PN) and entire Hyaluronic Acid (HA) on cultured human fibroblasts by analyzing cell growth. Different mixture have been tested and it has been demonstrated that the presence of HA even at low concentration (1 mg/ml) determine an increase of PN activity up to 20%. Furthermore, the addition of HA 1 mg/ml to PN 100 μg/ml induces a cell growth rate comparable to that exerted by PN concentration of 12 μg/ml.

Over the past two decades,dialogic accounting research has evolved into a distinct field,expanding into what is now recognized as critical dialogic accounting and accountability(CDAA).The integration of critical dialogic accounting and accountability acknowledges the growing need to recognize diverse pathways within accounting practices,emphasizing the representation of marginalized perspectives,engagement with power dynamics,and the analysis of conflicts,particularly in the context of societal and environmental *** on these assumptions,the Integrated Popular Reporting(IPR)is intended as a useful practical dialogic tool designed to impartially represent the viewpoints of different *** focus extends beyond traditional dialogic accounting,integrating a newer critical lens that explores the implications of digital technology in the reporting *** explore these advancements,the study investigates the implementation of the City of Bari’s 2020 Integrated Popular *** tools such as Talkwalker and employing a longitudinal,interventionist approach along with semi-structured interviews,the study assesses the effects of digital technologies on the dialogic accounting *** analysis shows that the use of digital technologies has facilitated a more participatory reporting structure,evident in increased citizen engagement and reduced bureaucratic ***,it has enhanced the accuracy of defining citizens’informational needs and addressed pertinent themes ranging from mobility,economy,digitization,regeneration,and ***,it underscores the need to address the digital divide and ensure inclusivity across diverse ***,it contributes to the ongoing discourse on the role of technology in shaping the future of dialogic accounting and its broader implications for societal accountability.

为了解氮沉降对神农架地区川金丝猴栖息地地衣多样性的潜在影响,本文以最大光合效率Fv/Fm、地衣细胞膜完整性(RE)和叶绿素OD435/OD415为指标,以神农架地区生物量较大、可能被川金丝猴取食的4种树生地衣(长松萝Usnea longissima、桦树松萝Usnea betulina、杯树花日本变种Ramalina calicaris ***和裸缘衣Parmotrema hypoleucinum)为对象,以去离子水和不同浓度的KNO3、NH4NO3和(NH4)2SO4的溶液浸泡处理,采用MiniPAM荧光仪在氮处理前和处理后的0、24、48和72 h分别测定地衣的Fv/Fm值,在72 h后测定地衣浸出液电导率RE和叶绿素OD435/OD415值,研究4种地衣的氮敏感性。结果表明,4种地衣对72 h的高氮处理均表现出敏感性,但敏感的氮素类型和指示指标存在种间差异。其中,(1)以Fv/Fm为指标,长松萝和桦树松萝对KNO3最敏感,杯树花日本变种和裸缘衣则对(NH4)2SO4较为敏感;(2)以RE为指标时,长松萝和桦树松萝对(NH4)2SO4最敏感,而杯树花日本变种在KNO3、NH4NO3和(NH4)2SO4间无差异,裸缘衣则对(NH4)2SO4较为敏感;(3)以OD435/OD415为指标时,长松萝和裸缘衣对(NH4)2SO4较为敏感,桦树松萝对KNO3和(NH4)2SO4均敏感,杯树花日本变种则对KNO3、NH4NO3和(NH4)2SO4均敏感。上述研究结果不仅证明川金丝猴栖息地树生地衣面临氮沉降的现实威胁,还说明其氮敏感性具有种特异性和及其作用机制的复杂性。因此,进一步开展川金丝猴栖息地氮沉降特征及其对川金丝猴主食地衣影响的研究,对川金丝猴保育具有重要的意义。

AIM: To develop a pure transvaginal access to the retroperitoneum, that is simple, reproducible and uses endoscopic material available on the market. METHODS: From February 2008 to April 2009, 31 pigs were operated on, with 17 as an acute experiment and 14 with a survival protocol. The animals were placed in a supine position and a 12-mm double-channel endoscope (Karl StorzTM, Tuttlingen) was used for vision and dissection. During the same time period, the access experiment was reproduced on 3 human cadavers using material similar to that used in the animal model. RESULTS: In the animal model, 37 interventions were done on the kidney, adrenal gland and pancreas. The mean time to fashion the access was 10 min (range 5 to 20 min). No intraoperative death was observed. Two major (5%) intraoperative complications occurred: one hemorrhage on the aorta and one tearing of the right renal vein. Peritoneal laceration was encountered in 5 cases without impairing the planned task. In the survival group, good clinical outcome was observed at a mean follow-up of 3 wk (range 2 to 6 wk). In the 3 cadavers, access was performed correctly. The mean time to fashion the access was 52 min (range 40 to 60 min). All the anatomical landmarks described in the pig model were clearly identified in the same sequence. CONCLUSION: A retroperitoneal natural orifice translumenal surgical transvaginal approach is feasible in both animal and human models and allows performance of a large panel of interventions.

Objective: The aim of the study was to make a literature review on counseling and family education about the care with tracheostomy and develop a guidance booklet for parents about the cautions in handling tracheostomy tubes at home. Methods: This research is based on literature review from 1992 to 2012, realized from October of 2011 to August 2012, through the following databases: medline, lilacs, scielo and sibinet USP, with the elaboration of a guidance booklet for parents, about home care of tracheostomized children. Results: We elaborated a guidance booklet for parents, about the care of tracheostomized children and all were described according to literature review. Conclusion: According to the literature review family education in the care of tracheostomized children is essential so that caregivers have full autonomy to safely and effectively conduct the necessary techniques in their homes.
