Solid-state sodium metal batteries utilizing inorganic solid electrolytes(SEs)hold immense potentials such as intrinsical safety,high energy density,and environmental ***,the interfacial inhomogeneity/instability at the anode-SE interface usually triggers the penetration of sodium dendrites into the electrolyte,leading to short circuit and battery ***,confronting with the original nonuniform and high-resistance solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)at the Na-Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)PO_(12)interface,an oxygen-regulated SEI innovative approach is proposed to enhance the cycling stability of anode-SEs interface,through a spontaneous reaction between the metallic sodium(containing trace amounts of oxygen)and the Na_(3)Zr_(2)Si_(2)POi_(2)*** oxygen-regulated spontaneous SEI is thin,uniform,and kinetically stable to facilitate homogenous interfacial Na^+transportation,Benefitting from the optimized SEI,the assembled symmetric cell exhibits an ultra-stable sodium plating/stripping cycle for over 6600 h under a practical capacity of 3 mAh cm^(-2).Qua si-sol id-state batteries with Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)cathode deliver excellent cyclability over 500 cycles at a rate of 0.5 C(1 C=117 mA cm^(-2))with a high capacity retention of95.4%.This oxygen-regulated SEI strategy may offer a potential avenue for the future development of high-energy-density solid-state metal batteries.

Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries (PIBs) have been considered as attractive alternatives for next-generation battery systems, which have promising application potential due to their earth abundance of potassium and sodium, high capacity and suitable working potential, however, the design and application of bi-functional high-performance anode still remain a great challenge up to date. Bismuth sulfide is suitable as anode owing to its unique laminar structure with relatively large interlayer distance to accommodate larger radius ions, high theoretical capacity and high volumetric capacity etc. In this study, dandelion-like Bi_(2)S_(3)/rGO hierarchical microspheres as anode material for PIBs displayed reversible capacity, and 206.91 mAh·g^(−1) could be remained after 1,200 cycles at a current density of 100 mA·g^(−1). When applied as anode materials for SIBs, 300 mAh·g^(−1) could be retained after 300 cycles at 2 A·g^(−1) and its initial Coulombic efficiency is as high as 97.43%. Even at high current density of 10 A·g^(−1), 120.3 mAh·g^(−1) could be preserved after 3,400 cycles. The Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)@rGO//Bi_(2)S_(3)/rGO sodium ion full cells were successfully assembled which displays stable performance after 60 cycles at 100 mA·g^(−1). The above results demonstrate that Bi2S3/rGO has application potential as high performance bi-functional anode for PIBs and SIBs.

MXene has garnered widespread recognition in the scientific com-munity due to its remarkable properties,including excellent thermal stability,high conductivity,good hydrophilicity and dispersibility,easy processability,tunable surface properties,and admirable *** have been categorized into different families based on the number of M and X layers in M_(n+1)X_(n),such as M_(2)X,M_(3)X_(2),M_(4)X_(3),and,recently,M_(5)X_(4).Among these families,M_(2)X and M_(3)X_(2),par-ticularly Ti_(3)C_(2),have been greatly explored while limited studies have been given to M_(5)X_(4)MXene ***,studies on the M_(4)X_(3)MXene family have developed recently,hence,demanding a compilation of evaluated ***,this review provides a systematic overview of the latest advancements in M_(4)X_(3)MXenes,focusing on their properties and applications in energy storage *** objective of this review is to provide guidance to researchers on fostering M_(4)X_(3)MXene-based nanomaterials,not only for energy storage devices but also for broader applications.

Congenital unilateral lower lip palsy(CULLP),or congenital hypoplasia of the depressor anguli oris muscle,also known as asymmetric crying facies,is a rare condition that results in asymmetry of the lower lip during smiling,laughing,and *** the etiology is unknown,weakness of the depressor labii inferioris(DLI)muscle is implicated as a contributing ***,no well-established treatment options are *** case report describes an 18-year-old male patient diagnosed with *** examination revealed a symmetric face at rest,but asymmetry when smiling and opening the *** the administration of lidocaine into the affected DLI muscle,the patient’s smile and lower lip symmetry were immediately restored without any adverse ***,administration of botulinum toxin for neuromodulation of the DLI muscle led to a significant improvement in symmetry and oral function within 2 weeks,which was sustained at 1 month and 3 months *** adverse effects were reported,and both patients and families expressed high satisfaction with the *** case highlights the potential use of neuromodulation as a minimally invasive and effective treatment for CULLP.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) is considered the fifth most prevalent cancer among all types of cancers and has the third most morbidity value. It has the most frequent duplication time and a high recurrence rate. Recently, the most unique technique used is liquid biopsies, which carry many markers;the most prominent is circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA). Varied methods are used to investigate ctDNA, including various forms of polymerase chain reaction(PCR) [emulsion PCR(ePCR), digital PCR(dPCR), and bead, emulsion, amplification, magnetic(BEAMing) PCR]. Hence ctDNA is being recognized as a potential biomarker that permits early cancer detection,treatment monitoring, and predictive data on tumor burden are subjective to therapy or surgery. Numerous ctDNA biomarkers have been investigated based on their alterations such as 1) single nucleotide variations(either insertion or deletion of a nucleotide) markers including TP53, KRAS, and CCND1;2) copy number variations which include markers such as CDK6, EFGR, MYC and BRAF;3) DNA methylation(RASSF1A, SEPT9, KMT2C and CCNA2);4) homozygous mutation includes ctDNA markers as CDKN2A, AXIN1;and 5) gain or loss of function of the genes, particularly for HCC. Various researchers have conducted many studies and gotten fruitful ***, there are some drawbacks to ctDNA namely low quantity, fragment heterogeneity, less stability, limited mutant copies and standards, and differential sensitivity. However, plenty of investigations demonstrate ctDNA's significance as a polyvalent biomarker for cancer and can be viewed as a future diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic agent. This article overviews many conditions in genetic changes linked to the onset and development of HCC, such as dysregulated signaling pathways, somatic mutations, single-nucleotide polymorphisms, and genomic instability. The production of quality food is indispensable and essential to overcome its global *** order to exercise the facile route to acquire massive production,a laser irradiation treatment method was *** have investigated the effects of diode laser irradiation on wheat seeds germination,its early growth and biochemical *** variation in germination parameters,caused by laser treatment were monitored carefully.A comparison study was accomplished to examine the laser irradiation effects on treated and control *** red laser indicated an enhancement of 25%in germination percentage,4.68 cm in shoot length,and 0.64 cm in root length while green laser showed 6.25%less germination percentage than the untreated *** green laser showed 9.67 cm increase in shoot length,5.39 cm in root length as compared to untreated *** was found that the seeds which were irradiated with green laser showed an amount of superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT)and peroxidase(POD),of 11.9,10,and 1.53 per mg of protein,respectively as compared to control ***,these investigations are promising and suitable for upcoming research on a large scale.

Diffusion of Cu hexamer islands on Cu(111)and Ag(111)is studied using a molecular dynamics simulation technique with many-body potentials obtained from the embedded atom *** are carried out at temperatures 300,500 and 700 K,showing that shape-changing multiple-atom processes are more helpful for the diffusion rather than concerted motion of *** plots of the diffusion coefficients provide effective energy barrier values of 161.29±5 meV for Cu(111)and 179.34±5 meV for Ag(111)*** 700K,one pop-up atom among island atoms is observed with correlative changes in the position and shape of the lower-layer adatoms.

Detection of Babesia bovis in blood samples and its effect on the hematological and serum biochemical profile in large ruminants from Southern Punjab

Objective:To determine the presence of Babesia bovis(***) in large ruminants in southern Punjab and its effect on hematological and serum biochemical profile of host ***:Blood samples were collected from 144 large ruminants,including 105 cattle and 39 buffaloes,from six districts in southern Punjab including Multan,Layyah,Muzaffar Garh,Bhakar,Bahawalnagar and *** on the characteristics of animals and herds were collected through *** blood(hemoglobin,glucose) and serum(ALT,AST,LDH,cholesterol)parameters of calves and cattle were measured and compared between parasite positive and negative samples to demonstrate the effect of *** on the blood and serological profile of infected ***:27 out of 144 *** 5 out of 6 sampling districts,produced the541-bp fragment specific for *** of animals(P=0.02).presence of ticks on animals(P=0.04)and presence of ticks on dogs associated with herds(P=0.5) were among the major risk factors involved in the spread of bovine babesiosis in the study *** concentrations were the only serum biochemical values that significantly varied between parasite positive and negative ***:This study has reported for the first time the presence of *** in large ruminant and the results can lead to the prevention of babesiosis in the region to increase the livestock output.

Properties of Chemically Synthesized Nano-geopolymer Cement based Self-Compacting Geopolymer Concrete(SCGC)

The physical and mechanical properties of self-compacting geopolymer concrete(SCGC) using chemically synthesized nano-geopolymer cement was investigated. Nano-geopolymer cement was synthesized using nano-silica, alkali activator, and sodium aluminate in the laboratory. Subsequently, nine nanogeopolymer cement sbased SCGC mixes with varying nano-geopolymer cement content, alkali activator content, coarse aggregate(CA) content, and curing temperature were produced. The workability-related fresh properties were assessed through slump flow diameter and slump flow rate measurements. Mechanical performances were evaluated through compressive strength, splitting tensile strength, and modulus of elasticity measurements. In addition, rapid chloride penetration test, water absorption, and porosity tests were also performed. It was assessed that all mix design parameters influenced the fresh and hardened properties of SCGC mixes. Based on test results, it was deduced that nano-geopolymer cement SCGC performed fairly well. All the SCGC mixes achieved the 28-day compressive strength in the range of 60-80 MPa. Additionally, all mixes attained 60% of their 28-day strength during the first three days of elevated temperature curing. FTIR and SEM analyses were performed to evaluate the degree of polymerization and the microstructure respectively for SCGC mixes.
