Changes of China’s Status in the Global System and Its Influencing Factors:A Multiple Contact Networks Perspective

Clarifying China’s position in the global system is an important logical basis for developing national diplomacy.Although much research has been done on China’s development status,most studies have been based on country comparisons or institutional en-vironment.In today’s networked era in which the global economy,trade,personnel,and information are closely connected,studies on China’s global position and its status changes and influencing factors in multiple contact networks are still insufficient.In this study,from the perspective of diverse global contact networks,we constructed economic,cultural,and political influence indices to explore the changes and influencing factors on China’s status in the global system from 2005 to 2018.The results show that during the study period,China’s global influence in the fields of economic ties,cultural exchanges,and political contacts increased significantly,but its influ-ence in the fields of cultural exchanges and political contacts lagged far economic ties.The pattern of China’s economic influence on various economies around the world has shown a transformation from an‘upright pyramid’to an‘inverted pyramid’structure.The proportion of these economies in low-influence zones has decreased from more than 60%in 2005 to less than 20%in 2018.China’s cultural and political influence on various economies around the world has increased significantly;however,for the former,the percentage of high-influence areas is still less than 20%,whereas for the latter the percentage of these economies in medium-and high-influence areas is still less than 50%.Analyses such as a scatter plot matrix show that geographical proximity,economic globalization,close cooperation with developing countries,and a proactive and peaceful foreign policy are important factors in improving China’s status in the diverse global network system.

Legume-specific SnRK1 promotes malate supply to bacteroids for symbiotic nitrogen fixation

Nodulation is an energy-expensive behavior driven by legumes by providing carbon sources to bacteroids and obtaining nitrogen sources in return.The energy sensor sucrose nonfermenting 1-related protein kinase 1(SnRK1)is the hub of energy regulation in eukaryotes.However,the molecular mechanism by which SnRK1 coordinates the allocation of energy and substances during symbiotic nitrogen fixation(SNF)remains unknown.In this study,we identified the novel legume-specific SnRK1α4,a member of the SnRK1 family that positively regulates SNF.Phenotypic analysis showed that nodule size and nitrogenase activity increased in SnRK1α4-overexpressing plants and decreased significantly in snrk1α4 mutants.We demonstrated that a key upstream kinase involved in nodulation,Does Not Make Infection 2(DMI2),can phosphorylate SnRK1α4 at Thr175 to cause its activation.Further evidence clarified that SnRK1α4 phosphorylates the malate dehydrogenases MDH1/2 to promote malate production in the cytoplasm,supplying carbon sources to bacteroids.Therefore,our findings reveal an essential role of the DMI2–SnRK1α4–MDH pathway in supplying carbon sources to bacteroids for SNF and provide a new module for constructing cereal crops with SNF.

针对Transformer检测模型计算复杂度高以及检测效率低的问题,提出一种轻量化的动态Transformer目标检测改进算法。首先,在自注意力模块中引入动态门来筛选重要的关注区域,设计了从局部到全局的动态稀疏自注意力机制,在减轻计算负载的同时增强模型的多尺度泛化能力;其次,在模型结构层面上引入了动态跳层机制,使模型在推理过程中能够根据输入自适应调整参数和结构,在检测速率与精度之间取得更好的权衡。实验结果表明,改进后检测模型的计算冗余有效降低,相比现有的基准模型更加高效,实际应用空间更加广阔。

Error-free mitosis depends on accurate chromosome attachment to spindle microtubules,which is monitored by the spindle assembly checkpoint(SAC)signaling.As an upstream factor of SAC,the precise and dynamic kinetochore localization of Mps1 kinase is critical for initiating and silencing SAC signaling.However,the underlying molecular mechanism remains elusive.Here,we demonstrated that the multisite interactions between Mps1 and Ndc80 complex(Ndc80C)govern Mps1 kinetochore targeting.Importantly,we identified direct interaction between Mps1 tetratricopeptide repeat domain and Ndc80C.We further identified that Mps1 C-terminal fragment,which contains the protein kinase domain and C-tail,enhances Mps1 kinetochore localization.Mechanistically,Mps1 C-terminal fragment mediates its dimerization.Perturbation of C-tail attenuates the kinetochore targeting and activity of Mps1,leading to aberrant mitosis due to compromised SAC function.Taken together,our study highlights the importance of Mps1 dimerization and multisite interactions with Ndc80C in enabling responsive SAC signaling.

Visualization Investigation on Temperature Oscillation and Two-Phase Behaviors of A Flat Loop Heat Pipe

To better analyzing the temperature oscillation and the two-phase behavior inside a flat loop heat pipe,visual studies were conducted.Under the 20℃ water cooling and horizontal orientation,the effects of the filling ratio and heat loads on the temperature oscillation were analyzed.Based on the experimental data,the results indicate that owing to the increased system pressure,the temperature oscillation decays as the filling ratio increases from 34%to 58%.Meanwhile,during the startup process,temperature oscillation tends to occur during the boiling and steady stages due to the more violent two-phase behavior,while the temperature curves are smooth during the slow evaporation stage.Moreover,as the heat load increases,the evaporation becomes more intense at the active zone of evaporator,leading to a faster startup process and a higher oscillation frequency.Besides,owing to the synergistic effect of two-phase flow in the compensation chamber caused by heat leak and subcooled liquid backflowing,a“breathing”oscillation behavior of the vapor-liquid interface is observed at the compensation chamber,which further leads to the unstable operation behavior of the loop heat pipe system.

Novel polyhydroxy cationic collector N-(2,3-propanediol)-Ndodecylamine: Synthesis and flotation performance to hematite and quartz

To enhance the performance of traditional cationic collector,a novel polyhydroxy amine collector N-(2,3-Propanediol)-N-dodecylamine(PDDA)was designed by introducing one propylene glycol group into dodecylamine(DDA).It was prepared by a nucleophilic substitution reaction,which showed better solubility and hydrophobicity than DDA and was firstly employed as the collector for the separation of hematite and quartz.Flotation tests showed that PDDA had an excellent flotation performance and significantly better selectivity than DDA.In addition,the flotation performance and adsorption mechanism of PDDA on hematite and quartz surfaces were studied using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),zeta potential and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)tests.These results demonstrated that the interaction between PDDA and the minerals’surfaces was mainly electrostatic adsorption and hydrogen bond,while PDDA tended to adsorb on the surfaces of quartz more than that of hematite.Performance optimization of amine collectors by introducing hydroxyl was also verified,which was of great meaning to the design,development,and application of the polyhydroxy cationic collector.In conclusion,PDDA could be used as a potential collector in the flotation separation of quartz and hematite.

Regenerative braking has been applied widely in the DC power supply system of urban rail transit. However, as a new mode of transportation, there is no existing research on maglev train. The paper explains the simulation model of traction between mid-to-low speed maglev train and power supply system in detail, and provides regenerative braking simulation computation method through adopting ground resistance as energy consumption. With the combination of the reality of maglev S1 project in Beijing, it obtains the work situation of the train during regenerative braking, and explores the setting of braking resistance capacity. The result indicates that the normal working of ground braking resistance could stabilize the network voltage in the reasonable working range effectively. As a result, it could avoid the failure of regenerative braking and assure the normal operation of electrical equipment.

Estimating the macrobenthic species richness with an optimized sampling design in the intertidal zone of Changjiang Estuary

It is a challenge in the field sampling to face conflict between the statistical requirements and the logistical constraints when explicitly estimating the macrobenthos species richness in the heterogeneous intertidal wetlands. To solve this problem, this study tried to design an optimal, efficient and practical sampling strategy by comprehensively focusing on the three main parts of the entire process(to optimize the sampling method, to determine the minimum sampling effort and to explore the proper sampling interval) in a typical intertidal wetland of the Changjiang(Yangtze) Estuary, China. Transect sampling was selected and optimized by stratification based on pronounced habitat types(tidal flat, tidal creek, salt marsh vegetation). This type of sampling is also termed within-transect stratification sampling. The optimal sampling intervals and the minimum sample effort were determined by two beneficial numerical methods: Monte Carlo simulations and accumulative species curves. The results show that the within-transect stratification sampling with typical habitat types was effective for encompassing 81% of the species, suggesting that this type of sampling design can largely reduce the sampling effort and labor. The optimal sampling intervals and minimum sampling efforts for three habitats were determined: sampling effort must exceed 1.8 m^2 by 10 m intervals in the salt marsh vegetation, 2 m^2 by 10 m intervals in the tidal flat, and 3 m^2 by 1 m intervals in the tidal creek habitat. It was suggested that the differences were influenced by the mobility range of the dominant species and the habitats' physical differences(e.g., tidal water, substrate, vegetation cover). The optimized sampling strategy could provide good precision in the richness estimation of macrobenthos and balance the sampling effort. Moreover, the conclusions presented here provide a reference for recommendations to consider before macrobenthic surveys take place in estuarine wetlands. A 16-channel high-voltage reconfigurable and flexible-controlled implantable wireless closed-loop system for SCI repair

An adaptive closed-loop system for spinal cord injury(SCI) repair is designed. It integrates stimulation and recording on 16 pairs of electrodes. Two switches(SAS3 T16/SAS1 T16 X2) fabricated in high-voltage 0.8 μm process with online re-configurable function are proposed. These two switches are combined with commercial off-the-shelf(COTS) electronics to implement the closed-loop implantable system in compact module. The system includes amplifier for recording neural signals, high-voltage stimulator, power transmission device, central processing module and flexible implantable electrodes. Two customized switches route any electrode to amplifier or stimulator, and nerve stimulation and signal recording are performed through lead wire-driven channels. The entire system is able to operate at up to 28 V, and is a biocompatible package with a volume of 42 mm×35 mm×8 mm. This system solves several problems encountered in implantable devices: low flexibility, negative influence of stimulus artifacts on neural detection and low integration of electrodes.
