Skin‑Inspired Ultra‑Tough Supramolecular Multifunctional Hydrogel Electronic Skin for Human–Machine Interaction

Multifunctional supramolecular ultra-tough bionic e-skin with unique durability for human–machine interaction in complex scenarios still remains challenging.Herein,we develop a skininspired ultra-tough e-skin with tunable mechanical properties by a physical cross-linking salting-freezing-thawing method.The gelling agent(β-Glycerophosphate sodium:Gp)induces the aggregation and binding of PVA molecular chains and thereby toughens them(stress up to 5.79 MPa,toughness up to 13.96 MJ m^(−3)).Notably,due to molecular self-assembly,hydrogels can be fully recycled and reprocessed by direct heating(100°C for a few seconds),and the tensile strength can still be maintained at about 100%after six recoveries.The hydrogel integrates transparency(>60%),super toughness(up to 13.96 MJ m^(−3),bearing 1500 times of its own tensile weight),good antibacterial properties(E.coli and S.aureus),UV protection(Filtration:80%–90%),high electrical conductivity(4.72 S m^(−1)),anti-swelling and recyclability.The hydrogel can not only monitor daily physiological activities,but also be used for complex activities underwater and message encryption/decryption.We also used it to create a complete finger joint rehabilitation system with an interactive interface that dynamically presents the user’s health status.Our multifunctional electronic skin will have a profound impact on the future of new rehabilitation medical,human–machine interaction,VR/AR and the metaverse fields.

Lithium Ion Conduction in Covalent Organic Frameworks

Ion conduction plays key roles in electrochemical systems,including fuel cells,lithium ion batteries,and metal-air batteries.Covalent organic frameworks(COFs),as a new class of porous polymers,constructed by pre-designable building blocks,are ideal hosts to accommodate ionic carries for conduction because of their straightforward pore channels,tunable pore size,controllable pore environment,and good chemical and thermal stability.Different from proton conduction,how to achieve high lithium ion conduction is still a challenge as it is difficult to dissociate ionic bonds of the lithium salts.To facilitate the dissociation of lithium salts,COFs with different pores and skeletons are well designed and constructed.This review focuses on emerging developments of lithium ion conduction in COFs,and discusses the structures of these COFs and conductive performance to elucidate the structure-property correlations.Furthermore,we have concluded the remaining challenge and future direction in these COF-based lithium conductive areas.This review provides deeper insight into COFs for ionic conduction.

Metal organic polymers with dual catalytic sites for oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions

Metal-organic frameworks and covalent organic frameworks have been widely employed in electrochemical catalysis owing to their designable skeletons,controllable porosities,and well-defined catalytic centers.However,the poor chemical stability and low electron conductivity limited their activity,and single-functional sites in these frameworks hindered them to show multifunctional roles in catalytic systems.Herein,we have constructed novel metal organic polymers(Co-HAT-CN and Ni-HAT-CN)with dual catalytic centers(metal-N_(4) and metal-N_(2))to catalyze oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER).By using different metal centers,the catalytic activity and selectivity were well-tuned.Among them,Co-HAT-CN catalyzed the ORR in a 4e^(-)pathway,with a half-wave potential of 0.8 V versus RHE,while the Ni-HAT-CN catalyze ORR in a 2e^(-)pathway with H_(2)O_(2) selectivity over 90%.Moreover,the Co-HAT-CN delivered an overpotential of 350 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2) with a corresponding Tafel slope of 24 mV dec^(-1) for OER in a 1.0 M KOH aqueous solution.The experimental results revealed that the activities toward ORR were due to the M-N_(4) sites in the frameworks,and both M-N_(4) and M-N_(2) sites contributed to the OER.This work gives us a new platform to construct bifunctional catalysts.

研究木姜子精油对大豆油和桂圆汁贮藏品质的影响。通过气相色谱-质谱联用技术分析木姜子精油的挥发性成分;采用化学和生物分析法,评价木姜子精油的体外抗氧化和抗菌作用;利用大豆油和桂圆汁为食品模型,测定木姜子精油对食品的保鲜作用。结果表明,木姜子精油含有32种挥发性成分,占总量的94.57%,柠檬醛和柠檬烯是最主要的挥发性成分;精油具有良好的还原能力,可有效清除ABTS+和DPPH自由基;对大肠杆菌等食品腐败菌具有显著的抗菌作用;可有效抑制贮藏过程中食用大豆油过氧化值的增加和桂圆汁菌落总数的增大,对食品贮藏品质有良好的提升作用。

目的累积取样系统作为一种获得天然气平均发热量而实现能量计量的重要方式,对其开展性能评价方法研究,以保障累积取样系统的正常运行及获得样品的代表性。方法根据GB/T 13609—2017《天然气取样导则》和GB/T 30490—2014《天然气自动取样方法》的要求,并结合累积取样系统的现场应用情况,建立了包括取样系统配置的完整性、取样系统的符合性、取样系统的气密性、预设参数的符合性、取样系统的一致性等指标的性能评价方法。结果针对各项评价指标开展了现场应用,验证了累积取样系统性能评价方法的可操作性和适用性。结论建立的累积取样系统性能评价方法能够满足目前的现场使用需求,后续将进一步建立相关方法标准,为天然气能量计量的推进和实施提供标准保障。

The electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)for highvalue-added products is a promising strategy to tackle excessive CO_(2) emissions.However,the activity of and selectivity for catalysts for CO_(2)RR still need to be improved because of the competing reaction(hydrogen evolution reaction).In this study,for the first time,we have demonstrated dual atomic catalytic sites for CO_(2)RR from a core-shell hybrid of the covalent-organic framework and the metal-organic framework.Due to abundant dual atomic sites(with CoN_(4)O and ZnN_(4) of 2.47 and 11.05 wt.%,respectively)on hollow carbon,the catalyst promoted catalysis of CO_(2)RR,with the highest Faradic efficiency for CO of 92.6%at-0.8 V and a turnover frequency value of 1370.24 h^(-1) at-1.0 V.More importantly,the activity and selectivity of the catalyst were well retained for 30 h.The theoretical calculation further revealed that CoN_(4)O was the main site for CO_(2)RR,and the activity of and selectivity for Zn sites were also improved because of the synergetic roles.

Angle-independent responsive organogel retroreflective structural color film for colorimetric sensing of humidity and organic vapors

The angle dependence of photonic crystals(PCs)dramatically limits their practical applications in the colorimetrical sensing of humidity and volatile organic compound(VOC)vapors.In addition,it is challenging for inverse opal PCs to colorimetrically distinguish between vapors with similar refractive indices.Different from the mechanism of PC-based sensors,here,we report an angle-independent polyacrylamide(PAAm)organogel structural color film based on the mechanisms of retroreflection,total internal reflection(TIR)and interference with a shape similar to a single-sided“egg waffle”.During the process of responding to humidity and VOC vapors,the color of the film remains angle-independent in the normal angle range of 0°to 45°under coaxial illumination and observation conditions.At the same time,the film can colorimetrically distinguish between vapors with similar refractive indices,such as methanol and ethanol,which is mainly due to the differences in their polarity and solubility parameters.The film shows good stability,reversibility and selectivity when exposed to vapors.A colorimetric sensor with a new response mechanism is proposed and has the potential to effectively distinguish between vapors with similar refractive indices.Furthermore,this responsive retroreflective structural color film(RRSCF)provides a universal strategy to develop targeted angle-independent structural color sensors by selecting optimized materials.

Metabolic-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD),which is previously known as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),represents a major health concern worldwide with limited therapy.Here,we provide evidence that ferroptosis,a novel form of regulated cell death characterized by iron-driven lipid peroxidation,was comprehensively activated in liver tissues from MAFLD patients.The canonical-GPX4(cGPX4),which is the most important negative controller of ferroptosis,is downregulated at protein but not mRNA level.Interestingly,a non-canonical GPX4 transcript-variant is induced(inducible-GPX4,iGPX4)in MAFLD condition.The high fat-fructose/sucrose diet(HFFD)and methionine/choline-deficient diet(MCD)-induced MAFLD pathologies,including hepatocellular ballooning,steatohepatitis andﬁbrosis,were attenuated and aggravated,respectively,in cGPX4-and iGPX4-knockin mice.cGPX4 and iGPX4 isoforms also displayed opposing effects on oxidative stress and ferroptosis in hepatocytes.Knockdown of iGPX4 by siRNA alleviated lipid stress,ferroptosis and cell injury.Mechanistically,the triggered iGPX4 interacts with cGPX4 to facilitate the transformation of cGPX4 from enzymatic-active monomer to enzymatic-inactive oligomers upon lipid stress,and thus promotes ferroptosis.Co-immunoprecipitation and nano LC–MS/MS analyses confirmed the interaction between iGPX4 and cGPX4.Our results reveal a detrimental role of non-canonical GPX4 isoform in ferroptosis,and indicate selectively targeting iGPX4 may be a promising therapeutic strategy for MAFLD.
