A study of magnetic hydrodynamic free convective flow past an infinite vertical porous plate in an incompressible electrically conducting fluid is considered. The investigation of the effect of viscous dissipation on the velocity profiles and temperature distribution of the fluid in the presence of a transverse magnetic field subject to a constant suction velocity is conducted. The ordinary differential equations governing the flows are analyzed using an explicit finite-difference scheme and computer generated programs. The results are presented in graphical form showing the effects of the various parameters arising in the flow. The numerical results of the study show that an increase in the viscous dissipation causes an increase in the velocity profiles and temperature distribution of the fluid.

This work.addresses the problem of Magnetohydrodynamic laminar unsteady flow of an incompressible electrically conducting fluid past an infinite vertical porous plate. It investigates how joule heating affects the velocity and temperature profiles of the fluid flow subjected to transverse magnetic field. The research examines specific equations of MHD flow which are solved numerically by finite difference approximations, using computer programme. The numerical results of this study reveal that an increase in joules heating parameter causes an increase in the velocity and temperature profiles uniformly near the plate but remain constantly distributed away from the plate, implying that the flow field of the MHD free convective flow is influenced substantially by the strength of Joules heating near the wall of the plate and at the mainstream.

The concept of normal form is used to study the dynamics of non-linear systems. In this work.we describe the normal form for vector fields on 3 × 3 with linear nilpotent part made up of coupled R3n Jordan block.. We use an algorithm based on the notion of transvectants from classical invariant theory k.own as boosting to equivariants in determining the normal form when the Stanley decomposition for the ring of invariants is k.own.
