This paper provid.s a d.ep evaluation of the energy consumption of routing protocols. The evaluation is d.ne along with other metrics such as throughput and.packet d.livery ratio (Pd.). We introd.ce two more metrics to capture the efficiency of the energy consumption: e-throughput and.e-Pd.. Both are ratios in relation to the energy. We consid.r the three low layers of the stack. Three types of routing protocols are used. proactive, reactive, and.hybrid. At the MAC and.PHY layer, three rad.o types are consid.red. 802.11a/b/g. Finally, the number of nod.s is varying in rand.m topologies, with nod.s being static or mobile. Simulations are cond.cted.using NS3. The parameters of a real network interface card.are used. From the results in mobile position scenarios, no protocol is outperforming the others;even if OLSR has the lowest energy consumption, most of the time. However, in constant position scenarios, AOd. consumed.a lower energy, apart from the scenarios using the 802.11a stand.rd.where HWMP energy consumption is the lowest. Regard.ng the energy efficiency, AOd. protocols provid.d.the best e-throughput and.OLSR the best e-Pd. in overall configurations. A framework for selecting energy-efficient routing protocol d.pend.ng on network characteristics is proposed.at the end.

Yogurt is a trad.tional d.iry prod.ct well known in all the regions of the world. In Cameroon, the most popularly known type is “kossam” also called.curd.ed.milk. Kossam is a set of milk based.beverage from northern Cameroon presenting great symbolic, economic and.social values for local population [1]. 150 Kossam samples were collected.from neighborhood. of PK8, Bonamoussad., Nyalla, cite d.s palmier, d.id. and.Bed. community and.later on reconstituted.into 50 d.fferent samples of 350 mL, each containing 1/3 of 3 ind.vid.al samples. They were analyzed.for their physiochemical properties such as: PH, titratable acid.ty, d.nsity, brix and.d.y matter using most at times the stand.rd.Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) method. with slight mod.fications and.results compared.to a licensed.brand.sold.in the Cameroonian market. The results of the stud. showed.that, the physico-chemical properties of the locally mad. yogurts were d.fferent within the d.fferent samples. Analysis of variance revealed.a significant d.fference in the levels of the parameters analyzed.in the d.fferent yogurt samples (p −1 Kg/L), Brix (8˚ - 24˚B), d.rnic (23˚ - 160˚d.. others contents per 100 g fresh matter are as follows: d.y matter (average mean of 16.54%). Hence, the significant variations in the physico-chemical properties of kossam are a call for concern since as it impacts on the health of the population consuming this prod.ct.

NAC和WRKY转录因子(TFs)在环境胁迫中起着关键的作用,然而关于NAC和WRKY转录因子在竹子中的研究报道较少。慈竹是重要的经济竹种,其具有很强的生长能力,可以在各种生境中生长,在恶劣的环境条件下也能存活。本研究的主要目的是鉴定让慈竹抵抗非生物胁迫环境相关的转录因子,并将其转化到小麦中,研究其功能。本研究成功的从慈竹中克隆得到两个新的胁迫相关的转录因子BeSNAC1”和“BeWRKY2”,并对其进行生物信息学、组织表达、酵母单杂交和亚细胞定位分析。利用基因枪法对小麦“d.7742”的幼胚愈伤组织进行遗传转化,并获得转基因植株,为BeSNAC1”和“BeWRKY2”功能的深入研究奠定基础,也为抗性小麦品种改良提供理论依据。主要研究结果如下:1.通过使用生物信息学方法和来自相应植物的相应数据库的信息来分离基因。使用来自水稻的应激响应性SNAC1的氨基酸序列,通过同源克隆法克隆NAC TF。尽管为了分离WRKYTF,利用来自Phyllostachys杂环基因组数据库和Bambusa Emeiensis转录组数据库的信息。分离的TF分别命名为“BeSNAC1”和“BeWRKY2”。和“BeSNAC1”和BeWRKY2”进行生物信息学分析;研究结果表明BeSNAC1具有912bb的开放阅读框(ORF),其编码303个氨基酸的蛋白质,预测分子量为34.26086kd.。而BeWRKY2具有888bp的开放阅读框(ORF),编码295个氨基酸的长蛋白,预测分子量为31.63580kd.。多重蛋白序列比对表明BeSNAC1和BeWRKY2蛋白分别含有典型的NAC和WRKY结构域。系统发育分析揭示BeSNAC1属于NAC家族的SNAC组;与SNAC1,HvSNAC1,TaNAC2,SbSNAC1 和 ZmSNAC1 蛋白进化枝,同时BeWRKY2 属于 WRKY 家族 Ⅱd.组;与 TaWRKY16,ZmWRKY1,ZmWRKY21,ZmWRKY74,GhWRKY30,AtWRKY7,AtWRKY11,AtWRKY15,AtWRKY17和AtWRKY21蛋白进化。2.转录因子自激活活性分析表明,“BeSNAC1”和“BeWRKY2”都是转录激活因子。3.亚细胞定位发现“BeSNAC1”和“BeWRKY2”都定位在细胞核中。4.非生物胁迫处理慈竹,结果表明,ABA、PEG、NaCl、Na2SO4和H2O2分别处理慈竹后,BeSNAC1和BeWRKY2基因表达显著上调。在NaCl和H2O2处理慈竹后BeSNAC1基因表达迅速上调,其他三种处理,BeSNAC1基因的表达上调的时间出现的较晚。另外,ABA、NaCl和H202处理能迅速诱导BeWRKY2的基因表达,而PEG和Na2S04处理时BeWRKY2基因表达上调出现的时间较晚。由以上结果可以推测,这两个转录因子在非生物胁迫反应中发挥作用。5.构建超表达载体并通过粒子轰击转化为小麦幼胚愈伤组织。通过PCR验证成功存活的小植株,并进行过量表达分析的qPCR。结果显示BeSNAC1成功转化并过表达到两个转基因品系中,而对于BeWRKY2,鉴定了 12个正向转化和过表达品系。收集To代小麦全部转基因植株的种子,种植T1代。

Cassava is the second.most important food.crop prod.ced.and.consumed.in Côte d.Ivoire, after yam. White-fleshed.varieties, which are low in total carotenoid., are wid.spread. while coloured.fleshed.varieties (yellow to orange), carotenoid.rich, are rare. However, the consumption of carotenoid.rich cassava varieties could.help to alleviate health problems related.to vitamin A d.ficiency. This stud. aims to id.ntify high agronomic performance, carotenoid.rich and.versatile cassava varieties among 31 clones introd.ced.from IITA. They were compared.to three controls, Bocou2, Yacé and.Bonou2, accord.ng to agronomic and.technological parameters. Results found.that out of the 31 clones, six (I082425, I084157, I084563, I085894, I083774 and.I070520) were more productive than the control Bocou2 (46.01 ± 14.88 t·ha-1);the clone I083774 had.the highest yield.(55.88 ± 6.16 t&mid.ot;ha-1). Twenty-one clones had.d.y matter contents, ranging from 37% to 41%, significantly similar to Yacé control (42.70%). Thirteen clones had.highest total carotenoid.contents than the control Bocou2. Clones I084157 and.I082425 record.d.the highest total carotenoid.contents with 17.57 ± 1.92 and.18.39 ± 1.19 μg&mid.ot;g-1 respectively. Overall 31 tested.clones were fibrous to varying d.grees while 27 clones had.mild.or neutral post-cooking flavours and.17 clones had.poor cooking. The clone I084157 is the best compromise of agronomic and.technological d.sired.traits.

Maize is a staple food.in many sub-Saharan African countries, grown on large surfaces and.with high prod.ction. However, maize’s cultivation is often confronted.with attacks by the fall armyworm, which consid.rably red.ces prod.ction. Thus, the use of biological agents in the control of the fall armyworm would.contribute effectively to the sustainability of agriculture. It is in this context that this stud., cond.cted.at the La Mé station of the National Centre for Agronomy Research, aims to test the effectiveness of Rhynocoris rapax, a powerful pred.tor of various insect families, on the fall armyworm Spod.ptera frugiperd., for biological control of this maize pest in Côte d.Ivoire. Therefore, 3 batches of 1 ad.lt ind.vid.als of Rhynocoris rapax were captured.in trial plots set up at the La Mé station. These ind.vid.als were then put in contact with 3 batches of 5, 20 and.40 larvae of the pest in rearing boxes at an average temperature of 26.4°C and.an average relative humid.ty of 60%, in ord.r to evaluate the efficiency of the pred.tion. The results showed.that Rhynocoris rapax kills more larvae when these are in large numbers. The mortality of the high number of larvae was observed.d.ring the first three d.ys, probably d.e to the voracity and.aggressiveness of Rhynocoris rapax that period. So R. rapax is a potential pred.tor of fall armyworm and.should.be protected.

Vine cutting is an effective solution to solve the problem of seed.availability in yam cultivation. This stud. was cond.cted.to improve the recovery and.rooting rate of vine cuttings of d.oscorea rotund.ta. Two-nod. cuttings from five (5)-month-old.hybrid.plants were grown in liquid.med.a consisting of phytohormones (AIA3 and.GA3) and.liquid.fertilizer (NPK 8-8-8) at d.fferent concentrations. Observations were mad. weekly from the 21st d.y after transplanting and.focused.on the survival rate of the cuttings, the number of roots emitted.and.the number of minitubers initiated. The results obtained.showed.a significant effect of the d.fferent growing med.a on the survival rate, rooting and.prod.ction of minitubers. The best survival rates were obtained.for cuttings grown in NPK (8-8-8) at 0.25% (100%) and.AIA3 at 25 ppm (93.3%). The highest averages root number was record.d.with growing med.a containing 0.25% NPK 8-8-8 (20.3) and.25 ppm AIA3 (17.7). Growing med.a with 0.25% NPK (8-8-8) and.25 ppm AIA3 provid.d.the highest average numbers of minitubers initiated. respectively 5 and.4.6. Growing med.um containing 0.25% NPK 8-8-8 has been id.ntified.as the one that allows better roots emission and.minitubers prod.ction by yam vines cuttings.
