Objective To evaluate the potential value of intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)imaging in the diagnosis of aortic intramural hematoma(AIH).Methods From September 2002 to May 2005,a consecutive series of 15 patients with suspected aortic dissection(AD)underwent both IVUS imaging and spiral computed tomography(CT).Six patients diagnosed as acute type B AIH by CT or IVUS composed the present study *** The study group consisted of five males and one female with mean age of 66 years *** of them had chest or back *** one patient,CT omitted a localized AIH and an associated penetrating atherosclerotic ulcer(PAU),which were detected by *** another patient,CT mistaken a partly thrombosed false lumen as an AIH,whereas IVUS detected a subtle intimal tear and slow moving blood in the false *** the four rest patients,both CT and IVUS made the diagnosis of AIH,however,IVUS detected three PAUs in three of them,only one of them was also detected by CT,and two of them escaped initial CT and were confirmed by follow up CT or magnetic resonance *** IVUS imaging is a safe examination and has high accuracy in the diagnosis of AIH,particularly for diagnosing localized AIH,distinguishing AIH with thrombosed classic AD and detecting accompanied small PAUs.

Although a number of cases of hepatotoxicity are associated with the use of Hydroxycut weight management products, it has been alleged that their effects are primarily due to the presence of hydroxycitric acid (HCA, as Super CitriMax) in the formulations. However, while these products contain up to 20 different ingredients, some do not contain HCA. Case studies reported to date have not considered in depth the literature on the numerous animal and human studies that have been conducted on the safety and effi cacy of HCA. No HCA-associated hepatotoxicity or treatment-related adverse effects have been reported in these studies, and thus it is premature to make the assumptions presented in the recent case studies regarding Hydroxycut. If it is established in well controlled studies that the use of these formulations with and/or without HCA can result in the occurrence or progression of hepatotoxicity, additional studies should be conducted to characterize the causative factor(s).

Conformational dynamics contribute importantly to enzyme catalysis,such that targeted conformational constraint may affect *** luciferases undergo extensive structural change during catalysis;key residues form a hydrophobic pocket,excluding water and enabling maximally energetic light *** mutants almost always luminesce at longer wavelengths(lower energy)than the wild *** constraint,using dipeptide analogue 3 at a position critical for optimized excited state structure,produced luciferase emission at a shorter wavelength by∼10 ***,introduction of conformationally constrained analogues 4,5,or 7 afforded luciferases emitting at longer wavelengths,while a related unconstrained luciferase(analogue 6)exhibited wild-type *** constrained luciferases tested were more stable than the wild *** modeling demonstrated that the“inside”or“outside”orientation of the conformationally constrained dipeptide led to the shorter or longer emission wavelength,*** broadly,these results suggest that local conformational constraint can control specific elements of enzyme behavior,both in vitro and in *** represents the first example of studying enzyme function by introducing conformationally constrained dipeptides at a specific protein *** principles discovered here in luciferase modification will enable studies to control the wavelength emission and photophysical properties of modified luciferases.

The TRAPP(Transport protein particle) complex is a conserved protein complex functioning at various steps in vesicle *** yeast has three functionally and structurally distinct forms, TRAPPⅠ,ⅡandⅢ,emerging evidence suggests that mammalian TRAPP complex may be different. Mutations in the Trs20 subunit cause X-linked spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia tarda,while mutations in the Trs120 subunit cause postnatal mental retardation with *** structural interplay between these subunits found in mammalian equivalent of TRAPPⅠand those specific to TRAPPⅡand TRAPPⅢremains largely unknown and we undertook the present study to examine the interaction between these ***,we reveal that the mammalian equivalent of the TRAPPⅡcomplex is structurally distinct from the yeast counterpart thus leading to insight into mechanism of *** analyzed how TRAPPⅡ-or TRAPPⅢ- specific subunits interact with the six-subunit core complex of TRAPP by co-immunoprecipitation in mammalian ***20 binds to TRAPPⅡ-specific subunit Trsl20,which in turn binds to ***,Trs20 can also bind to the putative TRAPPⅢ-specific subunit,Trs85. Endogenous Trsl20-positive TRAPPⅡcomplex does not contain Trs85,suggesting that Trs20 binds to either Trs120 or Trs85 during the formation of the mammalian equivalents of TRAPPⅡor TRAPPⅢ, ***,Trs20 serves as an adaptor for the formation of these complexes.A disease-causing mutation of Trs20,D47Y,failed to interact with either Trs120 or Trs85,suggesting that aspartate 47 in Trs20 is at or near the site of interaction with Trs120 or Trs85,mediating the formation of TRAPPⅡand/or TRAPPⅢ.Furthermore,disease-causing deletional mutants of Trs120 all failed to interact with Trs20 and ***20 serves as an adaptor for the formation of TRAPPⅡor TRAPPⅢin mammalian *** mammalian equivalent of TRAPPⅡis likely different from the yeast TRAPPⅡstructurally.

A new generalized exponentiated Weibull model called Gumbel-exponentiated Weibull {Logistic} distribution is introduced and studied. The new distribution extends the exponentiated Weibull distribution with additional parameters and bimodal densities. Some new and earlier distributions formed the sub-models of the proposed distribution. The mathematical properties of the new distribution including expressions for the hazard function, survival function, moments, order statistics, mean deviation and absolute mean deviation from the mean, and entropy were derived. Monte Carlo simulation study was carried out to assess the finite sample behavior of the parameter estimates by maximum likelihood estimation approach. The superiority of the new generalized exponentiated Weibull distribution over some competing distributions was proved empirically using the fitted results from three real life datasets.

本文用改良间接免疫胶珠法测定宫颈粘液中的抗精子抗体,同时测定宫颈粘液的体外精子制动活性。在100名不孕症妇女排卵期宫颈粘液中,检出抗精子抗体阳性14例,制动活性。在100名不孕症妇女排卵期宫颈粘液中,检出抗精子抗体阳性14例,制动活性阳性29例(包括两法同时阳性者5例)在抗精子抗体与制动活性间无明显的相关(P=0.18)。宫颈粘液精子制动试验和精子宫颈粘液接触试验用于宫颈粘液抗精子抗体的检测,缺乏相应的特异性。

As CALL(Computer Assisted Language Learning) became a new trend among China’s college English learners nowadays,it is time that teachers reflected on their teaching methodology innovation with the new technological advancement,one part of it is writing CALL tasks for their own individual *** paper presents a few basic principles and rationales of designing such tasks,and hope to work as a reminder for task *** principles and rationales include how to realize CLT(communicative language teaching) and learner-centredness and foster learner *** order to achieve this,it is reminded that task writers pay attention to a few points,like the communicativeness,contextualization,authenticity,and relatedness in task writing. Aspects of syllabus design,choice of texts,contents of activities and tasks and sequencing are put under investigation.

Gastric cancer remains one of the most lethal *** incidence and mortality rates are quite *** main reason for the high mortality is diagnosis at advanced stages of disease,when treatment options are *** of the supposed strategies to overcome late-stage diagnosis is identifying people at high risk with the aim of establishing rigorous clinical control,including routine endoscopy and *** gastric cancer(HGC)syndromes,though representing a sizeable group to monitor for prevention or,at least,for early diagnosis,are apparently extremely *** low rate of HGC diagnosis might be related to the low rates of suspicion,insufficient familiarity about clinical diagnosis criteria,and the supposed conditional necessity of a molecular *** this review,we will discuss simple measures to increase HGC diagnosis by applying three rules that might provide an opportunity for precision care to benefit the families affected by this disease.
